Number of Customers are way off
Hello! In my DB I have around 600 new Users and in RevenueCat I have over 1800 new Customers, both numbers are from only January 2023. The difference is way out and I can’t figure out why.Is there any advice on the correct way to filter de Customers so that I can match my DB users with the RC customers?Also, when I export the data there is some weird information like:has_made_sandbox_purchase has 3 different values: t (true), f (false), empty is_rc_promo has 3 different values: TRUE, FALSE, empty The empty parameter appears in many results in many attributes and its confusing.Hope you can help me understand why is this and how can I get the correct number of Customers.Thanks in advance!
Hello,I am using “active subscriptions” segmented by the first purchase month to look at blended retention (all product duration). I find it very convenient. What I realized recently is that if you compare:yearly retention chart active subscription chart filtered yearly and segmented by first purchase monthYou get a different result. In particular, the yearly retention chart initial value for a cohort is around 10% higher than the active subscription chart initial value. I am trying to understand why.
How do I make a revenue export useful?
I’m exporting data to try and measure revenue performance of ASA campaigns to work out overall ROAS but the revenue export is unusable and just shows my ad groups as 357 columns. These can’t be added to a pivot table and can’t be aggregated without manually going through and manipulating the data.Is there a way to export only totals, or export it in a usable format, or does anyone have a ‘fix’ to allow the data to be used in Excel please?Ideally we’d have campaign/ad group name as column A, revenue total(s) as column B/C/D. This would allow us to easily aggregate the data, instead of having separate revenue columns for every single ad group or campaign.Thanks in advance!
Same app used for different users
Steps:User A logged in with App User Id A. User A make purchase and a transaction created against user Id A on revenue cat. User A logged out from the app. User B logged in to the same app with the User Id B. User B make purchase and a transaction created against user Id B, But User A’s transaction app user Id updated to B.My issue is I want both the transactions with separate App User Id and to updated with latest one.Where and What I am missing here? Is there any configuration I need to do?
testing Revenuecat without connecting to Playstore
It seems to me that the process of testing app integration with RevenueCat is unnecessarily complicated due to the underlying integration with Google Playstore et al. Have you thought about supporting a RevenueCat test mode that mocks the Playstore connection? That would at least allow me to test the app to RevenueCat links irrespective of what happens with Google Playstore.
Are promo code purchases displayed in dashboard?
My first app with subscriptions just went live!Are App Store purchases made with promo codes displayed in the RevenueCat dashboard?I see purchases for my new app, but I also sent out promo codes. When I click on the transaction details, it states that it is production environment and the takehome_percentage is 0.85.I do see a “offer_code” is null, but nothing else about if it is a promo code or not.If anyone could shed some light on the subject I would appreciate it.
When is the right time to conclude an experiment?
I’ve read the article Experiments: Debugging and best Practices for A/B Testing that was probably written when Experiments were still in beta. The documentation mentions an “LTV Chart” with a gauge to determine when you can conclude an experiment.. However, I can’t find that my RevenueCat dashboard. My case: I have two subscription groups that both contain a monthly and yearly subscription. The trial length for the subscriptions between the groups are identical. The only difference is price.I’ve been running the experiment for around two weeks now, and see positive results. However, it’s still unclear for me when I can finish the experiment.
How are people handling tracking apple offer codes?
Apple limits the data they share with their offer codes, so the customers appear with $0 revenue in RevenueCat.How are people working around this? Wondering if we should set up a webhook for the data, or just rely on Apple’s reports, or something else?
Feature request: Set project currency
Hey, We are a UK based business, with 90% of our subscriptions coming in as GBP. It would be great if your graphs and etl jobs could be set to convert to the currency of your choice rather than USD. The issue I have is due to currency rate changes if we compare year on year revenue numbers, it’s hard to do that if the currency rates have changed significantly in the same period. Right now the USD to GBP rate has changed about 10-15% year on year, hence this being a bit of an issue for us.ThanksJohn
Should In-App purchases be in an entitlement?
Our app implements renewable subscriptions for Monthly and Annual. We are also implementing a “Day Pass” where users can purchase this and have access to locked content for 24 hours. The user can repurchase after it expires. We manage the expiration on our own servers.I created the “Day Pass” products as in-app purchases and added them to their own entitlement in RevenueCat. After some thought, I think I shouldn’t have added them to an entitlement.What’s the recommended setup?
Dasboard Recent Transactions shows the number of transactions more than it should be
Hi!, sometimes when I create a new sandbox account and make a purchase, the dashboard shows the number of transactions more than once. My appstore settings seem to be okey. Even though I purchased it once, the package seems to be renewed by itself. I only have this problem in apple, there is no such problem in android
Customers have no subscriptions or entitlements after using RevenueCat UI Transfer Button
Hello! First off, we were very excited to see the new “transfer” button in the RevenueCat customer view. This allows us to reverse unwanted subscription transfers for accounts.I recently used this button to help an account regain access after an unwanted transfer. I noticed that calling the RevenueCat API after doing this showed that both the “transferred from” account and “transferred to” account returned no entitlements. However, within the RevenueCat UI, everything looked correct.After a few minutes, the API call now shows the proper entitlement access for each account. Is this because the account logged in to their device and the receipt re-synced with RevenueCat?Is there any way to make it so that the RevenueCat API returns the correct entitlements after using the RevenueCat UI to perform a transfer? This would really help us. Thank you!
Search for user using attributes
Hi!I decided to use the anonymous App User ID and add some reference into attributesThat way I can have IAP without a userlogin demand.In some cases end user want to just have a “nick” or other attribute. But it is impossible to search for the user using attributes. Could I suggest that search get a “attr” keyword addon?For example, if you search for; attr:secretstuff:infoaboutsomeone it will search for only attrib “secretstuff” and “infoaboutsomeone” as search text. I wonder also if it is not possible to search for order numbers, google for instances use GPA.3348-7181-1798-xxxxx number, that exists in the “transaction_id” for each event detail. Apple in same way too. Since the data exists, it could be straight forward adding that? Last feature request:I miss a “read attribute” feature in the SDK, so I can read these parameters without using a webhook and another third party to store that again.
Issue related to changing Price
Hello everyone,After releasing my app with a subscription price of $5.99 and gaining a few subscribers, we decided to lower the price in a few countries on Apple and Google In-App Payments. Unfortunately, one of our subscribers was impacted by this change and reported that Apple charged them the updated price, but RevenueCat still showed the previous price of $5.99 in their last payment.Fortunately, the customer was charged correctly, but we're now concerned about the accuracy of the information shown in RevenueCat. Is there something we need to change in RevenueCat when we update the price on Apple and Google? What are we missing?Thank you in advance.
Revenue info hasn't been increasing at RevenueCat Dashboard.
Hi,Some of the users refunded our app’s subscription. Now, I'm not sure the RevenueCat dashboard is showing the correct revenue info, because revenue is not increasing despite new sales.We haven't had much refund-related Slack notifications in the past few hours, but revenue continues to drop: For example, we got two refund notifications, but revenue decreased more than that like 10 or more. I don’t know why.
Problems with customer's dashboard and page
Hello everyone, I am having some troubles concerning RevenueCat.First one is the list of customers which do not appear many users that is already created in RC and we can access by id. (Even filtering directly by an email that exists)Second problem regards to importing old android receipts to RC. It worked with most of cases IOS and android, however, I do not know why, there is two users that have subscriptions and RC do not track it. They have a valid receipt and subscription. When migrating them, RC always responds with status 200. Thanks in advance for your help.
Reporting on Billing errors
I am trying to find a way to delve into billing errors for our customers. While there is a way to filter these in the customer panel, this only shows current billing errors and not those that moved to cancellation due to a previous billing error. Is there a way to find this information?
The number of active subscribers that Revenuecat gave us does not match the table we created
Hello,We want to create our own dashboards from the raw data that we received from Revenucat. We transfer the data to BigQuery about 1 day behind. When we group monthly active subscribers by month, we cannot match them with the data in the table that revenuecat provides us. Meanwhile, we find minor differences acceptable. Unfortunately the difference is too much.For example, while the number of active users in May is 1419 in our code, it is 1893 in the active subscriber chart of Revenucat. I am sharing the SQL code I wrote. The logic we have established here, in short, is this. We got price_in_usd > 0 to eliminate trial users so that data is not duplicated. We also set the sandbox area to false to avoid getting sandbox data. We thought that the original_store_transaction_id refreshes itself when creating the store transaction id with every purchase. That's why we thought that when we group and count the original_store_transaction_id by months, we can reach active subscribers. So wha
