Hello Revenue-Cat Community, I’m looking to solve the following challenge:We created several different Offer-Codes for our In-App Purchases, which are used for different Sales Chanels, for ex. Influencers or Websites, etc. That is working great. How can I filter my Charts in Revenue Cat to see which OfferCode is used?I’m seeing the OfferCode used for the sale when tapping on the Transaction, but I can't find a way to filter for specific offer codes. Do you have any suggestion for that challenge?
Hello,I am using “active subscriptions” segmented by the first purchase month to look at blended retention (all product duration). I find it very convenient. What I realized recently is that if you compare:yearly retention chart active subscription chart filtered yearly and segmented by first purchase monthYou get a different result. In particular, the yearly retention chart initial value for a cohort is around 10% higher than the active subscription chart initial value. I am trying to understand why.
I’m exporting data to try and measure revenue performance of ASA campaigns to work out overall ROAS but the revenue export is unusable and just shows my ad groups as 357 columns. These can’t be added to a pivot table and can’t be aggregated without manually going through and manipulating the data.Is there a way to export only totals, or export it in a usable format, or does anyone have a ‘fix’ to allow the data to be used in Excel please?Ideally we’d have campaign/ad group name as column A, revenue total(s) as column B/C/D. This would allow us to easily aggregate the data, instead of having separate revenue columns for every single ad group or campaign. Thanks in advance!
Steps:User A logged in with App User Id A. User A make purchase and a transaction created against user Id A on revenue cat. User A logged out from the app. User B logged in to the same app with the User Id B. User B make purchase and a transaction created against user Id B, But User A’s transaction app user Id updated to B.My issue is I want both the transactions with separate App User Id and to updated with latest one.Where and What I am missing here? Is there any configuration I need to do?
Hi!, sometimes when I create a new sandbox account and make a purchase, the dashboard shows the number of transactions more than once. My appstore settings seem to be okey. Even though I purchased it once, the package seems to be renewed by itself. I only have this problem in apple, there is no such problem in android
Hello,We want to create our own dashboards from the raw data that we received from Revenucat. We transfer the data to BigQuery about 1 day behind. When we group monthly active subscribers by month, we cannot match them with the data in the table that revenuecat provides us. Meanwhile, we find minor differences acceptable. Unfortunately the difference is too much. For example, while the number of active users in May is 1419 in our code, it is 1893 in the active subscriber chart of Revenucat. I am sharing the SQL code I wrote. The logic we have established here, in short, is this. We got price_in_usd > 0 to eliminate trial users so that data is not duplicated. We also set the sandbox area to false to avoid getting sandbox data. We thought that the original_store_transaction_id refreshes itself when creating the store transaction id with every purchase. That's why we thought that when we group and count the original_store_transaction_id by months, we can reach active subscribers. So wha
Hi, We have an internal statistics tools which collects various statistics each day, which are then used in various internal reports.I would like to add some data available in RC dashboard to those reports, for example the number of active subscription (ideally per app), and the MRR (ideally per app as well). Is it a way to easily get those informations from RevenueCat? I would probably use the API to get all subscriptions and compute those myself, but it would be much more efficient to use the data calculated by RC. Thanks,
Hi, connected RevenueCat directly with Facebook SDK (previously used Appsflyer), to cut down project’s expenses. After relaunching my campaigns purchase event doesn’t show up in main dashboard. Purchase in my case if Trial Start. Went through the integration part a few times, everything seems to be ok. What am I missing? Where I should look at first?
Hi, I have an experiment running with a product that uses a 7-day free trial that shows no data after running for 8-days. I had assumed the data would appear once trials begun converting. This doesn’t appear to be the case. Both products are being purchased and Trial Converted events are now being sent to my CDP and appearing in the RevenueCat ‘trial conversions’ graph.
How often is data updated in the RevenueCat dashboard? Latency of data in the RevenueCat dashboard depends on what you're viewing and how you've set up your app. We can break down the data into three categories:Transactions Charts and metrics Customer ListsTransactions in RevenueCat are new purchases and renewals (including free trials). Transactions will be shown in real-time - this includes the Customer History timelines. For data points other than transactions, things like billing issues detected, auto-renew status changes, etc., will be automatically detected by RevenueCat every few hours, but can be sped up to near real-time by enabling platform server-notifications.Charts and metrics are continuously computed in batches from a snapshot of the transactions and activity at that point in time. As soon as the calculation finishes, is starts again. The computation takes a couple hours to run - so you should expect that level of latency in the charts.Pro tip: Hover over the chart toolt
Sometimes a user will say they've made a purchase but they don't seem to have access to the content in RevenueCat. What gives? There are several reasons why that might happen, and this article will walk you through what you can do to troubleshoot. If there's no purchases showing in the RevenueCat dashboard it means that either no receipt was sent by that App User ID, or the receipt that was sent didn't contain any purchases. In this case you should:Ask the user to Restore Purchases (or someway trigger the restoreTransactions() SDK method). Restoring will re-sync the current receipt on the device with RevenueCat, and unlock any associated content. There are cases, such as network connectivity failures, where the receipt may never make it to RevenueCat after a purchase. There is automatic retry logic built into the SDK to handle these scenarios, but a manual restore is another way to resend the receipt. Try to confirm with the user that they are logged in with the correct Apple ID/Google
Apple limits the data they share with their offer codes, so the customers appear with $0 revenue in RevenueCat.How are people working around this? Wondering if we should set up a webhook for the data, or just rely on Apple’s reports, or something else?
Did a user reach out to you saying their card was charged after opting out of an auto-renewal? This is possible, and there are a few reasons why it happens:The user cancelled less than 24 hours before the subscription was set to renew. The Apple subscription terms require users to cancel subscriptions at least 24 hours before the next renewal. The user didn't actually opt-out of renewal. Some users will delete the app and expect the subscription to be cancelled. The user somehow has two subscriptions and cancelled only one of them. This is uncommon, but can happen if for example the user has multiple devices using different accounts. The user might have opted back in renewal after opting out.Inspecting the Customer History timeline in RevenueCat can help determine which of these scenarios may have applied. It's important that you can communicate to your customer what may have happened, and help them get a refund if you see fit.
I am successfully setting the user’s attributes in my RN app with setAttributes, however, they do not show in the dashboard. I’ve waited over 3+ hours at this point. I’ve put the app in the background, and quit/re-started, but they still do not show in the dashboard. I also invalidatePurchaserInfoCache in our dev environment. What is needed to get this to work?
If you feel like a subscription or trial should have expired, but you see that it’s still active, then that subscription is likely in a grace period. For example, this user signed up for a 3-day free trial of the 1-month subscription on May 5, 2020 which should have converted on May 08, 2020. However, the dashboard shows the expiration date as May 24, 2020. This is because Apple applied a 16-day grace period due to some billing issue. Apple will continue attempting to bill the user until they successfully do so or reach the end of the 16-day grace period, at which point the trial will no longer be active.
Hi, When filtering in the customer view, can we please add a filter for price in purchased currency. We’re trying to identify customers who have redeemed a promotional offer, and are currently using a range on total spent. This leads to lots of false positives in our reporting. Additionally if this field could also be sent as part of the Amplitude integration that would be super helpful for our reporting. Thanks
Hi thereI can see charts for our Active Trials and would like to see a future projected revenue forecast based on when those trials are due to convert.Even better if it accounts for our trial conversion rate based on product, but no problem if I need to guesstimate that myself. How might I do this?Tobin
