Hey,

On the RC dashboard, there is a card labeled 'New Customers' and it has a figure in it, this figure changes from day to day but I would like to see how this number changes over time on a chart. I cannot see anywhere in the charts section that will show me this?

Hi, there is no specific chart that you can view this value from as this is counted differently on the Overview versus charts. On the Overview, this value is the number of App User IDs created in the past 28 days. In our charts, "new customers" refers to users who were first seen by RevenueCat in that time period, not the number of installs. So it works more like a "new user" count rather than an "install" count.

Just so I’m clear in my mind - the new users figure on the Overview screen is counting App User IDs (https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/customers/user-ids), so it’s acting like a new installs counter in a lot of ways (if we ignore re-installs).

As soon as the Purchases SDK is initialised it’s going to create a new anonymous ID and track it on the Overview screen. So any changes in our marketing that leads to more installs is going to show up here first quite promptly?

A fresh install doesn’t need to start a trial or make another IAP to show up there?
