Feature request: Set project currency

Hey, We are a UK based business, with 90% of our subscriptions coming in as GBP. It would be great if your graphs and etl jobs could be set to convert to the currency of your choice rather than USD. The issue I have is due to currency rate changes if we compare year on year revenue numbers, it’s hard to do that if the currency rates have changed significantly in the same period. Right now the USD to GBP rate has changed about 10-15% year on year, hence this being a bit of an issue for us.ThanksJohn

New App: Difference between New Customers (High) and Active Subscriptions (Low) on dashboard

Any help truly appreciated - a new app has launched today and the dashboard is looking a little strange. All of the figures don’t match, but mainly the New Customers number is 216 and the Active Subscriptions is only 31… any suggestions as to why? TIA

(I think it's possible 👉) Add support for detecting promo code purchases in App Store

Hey, I know it is “not possible to differentiate” between regular purchases and promo codes you give out for your app on the Apple App Store. I think there’s a way.This obviously only matters when your audience is small and/or your app is first released and you’re obsessing about your first 100 users, but I think it would help people who are starting out with RC to support this.I noticed on some transactions I can see in the history that they purchased and cancelled immediately. Like, 100% immediately and have the same `event_timestamp_ms`. This clearly indicates a promo code purchase as they do not renew. So surely these can be binned & flagged as promo code purchases when the purchase + unsubscribe happen within say 500ms of each other, and so filtered out from most of the reports? I’m sure it wouldn’t be perfect, but it’s got to be better than me having to go in and look at individual transactions or use App Store Connect to show only the true purchases. What are Starter plan customers doing, that I’m not ?

Hey all, I have a question for the wider community, as well as RevenueCat mods & contributors. I, like most people, who lean heavily on RC .. absolutely love the service. Not to mention it’s support, its amazing SDK and the hours/days/weeks it has saved me. As soon as I realised how important RC was for the development of my indie-app developer journey, I opted for the Starter plan.If I’m completely honest, I didn’t really know the difference between the Free and Starter .. it just felt like the obvious choice, and I was also sooooo far away from $1,000 MTR 😃 ** STOP PRESS **I’ve never reached the MTR threshold to require a RC payment .. but in the next month or two, I hope to do exactly that 🎉 back to my questionWhat are Starter plan customers doing, that I’m not ?Everything in Free plus charts, customer lists, webhooks, Slack integration, and up to 5 seats for your team I look at the Charts every now and again .. but most of the time the line looks the same as any other charts

Best environments strategy

Hey RC team,I work in a company that has more than 100 engineers. We usually have two isolated 3rd party environments for security purposes: one for our production and another for our non-production environments. Do you see any negative trade-offs in this approach?PS: This thread is almost about that, but using different projects instead of different accounts.

Experiment: build number in enrollment criteria

Hello,my existing paywall won’t support experiments because I constrained it to support only 2 packages (monthly/yearly), so I’ll have to wait for my upcoming app update to be adopted by enough people to trigger it. Wouldn’t it make sense for you to add the app’s build number as an enrollment criteria?This could also let us tie an experiment to a significant app update.Thanks

testing Revenuecat without connecting to Playstore

It seems to me that the process of testing app integration with RevenueCat is unnecessarily complicated due to the underlying integration with Google Playstore et al. Have you thought about supporting a RevenueCat test mode that mocks the Playstore connection? That would at least allow me to test the app to RevenueCat links irrespective of what happens with Google Playstore.

An entitlement provided by subscription purchase doesn't override RC promotional entitlement

In our application we have a logic of a 3 days free use period, that we provide to the user by granting them Promotional Entitlements through RevenueCat API. During that period user can manually click the upgrade button to start a play store/app store subscription. We would expect that once the store subscription is purchased, promotional entitlements would be replaced with the ones from subscription. However this doesn’t happen, which causes some problems. For example, we can’t tell if user is currently using play store/app store 7 days subscription-trial (available once, after which they got billed automatically), because `entitlement.storeType` is always equal to `promotional` and `entitlement.periodType` is always equal to `normal`. Also all the entitlements have product indentifiers starting with `rc_promo`. Only after the promotional entitlement is expired, they get replaced with correct data from app store/play store. In the overview panel I see a number of customer ( 398) that does not correspond to the one reported in panel customers (9) . Why there is such a difference? Thanks in advance to anyone that could provide support

Seeing a large amount of BILLING_ERROR or BILLING_ISSUE events

I’ve been seeing a ton of these events come through and they often lead to cancelation and lost revenue. How can I make sure this isn’t due to some misconfiguration in RC or Apple, or my code set up?

Interpreting A/B experiment results

Hello everyone, we’ve been running various experiments with revenuecat for some time and finally I found myself quite confused as to how to interpret the results.Setup:Control: tier5 - has monthly and yearly subscription offeringsTreatment: tier6 - has a different monthly and yearly subscription offerings QuestionsWhy are all offerings mixed into both Control and Treatment arms? We clearly separate and would like to test tier5 vs tier6. Follow up: Why totals include offerings from a competing arm? E.g. Treatment arm (tier 6) is 820 in total and includes 14 yearly offerings from tier5?I’ve read through all the articles and discussions, but can’t really get it. Would really appreciate any insight here.
