Why does the Active Subscriptions Chart reflect the total of actives and cancelled in the chart tooltip and summary table below? This overstates actives by including cancelleds in that sum.

Why does the Active Subscriptions Chart reflect the total of actives, billing_issue, cancelled, cancelled_trial, free_trial and intro_period in the chart tooltip and summary table below? This overstates the active subscriptions count.
The actual active subscriptions count can only be found by exporting customer lists and pivoting or filtering for ‘active’ status.

Shouldn’t the tooltip and table filter for active status as well? So as not to overstate active subscriptions.

Hey @Connor Freeman!

The Active Subscriptions chart counts any customer that has access to a paid subscription. A customer that has opted out of auto-renew is still included in this charts since they still have access to premium content. Until the subscription actually expires, it’s possible for these customers to re-enable auto-renew and continue their subscription.

Customers in a free trial should not be included in the Active Subscriptions chart - only in the Active Trials chart.

We understand that different apps may want to look at subsets of active subscriptions differently - such as those set to not renew next cycle. Using other features like Customer Lists, ETL Exports and/or an analytics integration would allow you to slice and dice the data differently.

Hopefully this helps shed some light on Active Subscriptions!

Got it, makes sense. Thank you!

One more question, please?
How do we ‘decode’ or translation RevenueCat dates?

Example -

last_seen_at - 1639333041027

first_purchase_at - 1638547355000
