Android AppInBackground is always true even when app is at foreground

Hi, I’m using the latest version of RevenueCat SDK on Android 5.7.1. I’ve noticed in debug logs that `AppInBackground` is always `true` even through the app is at foreground.This has caused some issues, such as cache not being updated in time. IIUC if app is in background, the SDK only updates cache once a day instead of the default 5 mins. Also, I realise that offerings are not being cached at app launch. When I start the activity with paywall, there’s always a noticeably delay of 2-3s to fetch the offerings. I’m not sure if this is related to `AppInBackground` always being `true`. Stripe webhook integration getting 200's but no handling of event takes place

I have followed the guide for setting up the Stripe integration webhook and the webhook https://api.revenuecat.com/v1/incoming-webhooks/stripe/<my_revcat_app_id> does receive 200’s. However, no handling of the events are taking place on the revenue cat side for the customers involved in the webhook events. I suspect this may be due to revenuecat not being able to identify from the webhook payload which customer the event pertains to. What additionally needs to be done for this webhook to handle customer subscription updates from the stripe event? Is there a way to see why these events are not being handled?Thank you

Problems with PurchasesCoreSwift

My ionic cordova project can no longer run on IoS since last Thursday and I have no idea why this is happening.When testing the Xcode, the code no longer processes the PurchasesCoreSwift-Info.plist, with results that the entire Purchase folder remains empty and it fails as it can not import from the Purchases.h file. We have a podfile that installs the PurchasesHybridCommon as usual (it might have something to do with that, as we were upgrading the Cocoapods when the error occured, unfortunatelly setting it back to previous versions hasn’t solved the issue.) Is there anyone else who experiences this problem? Or can offer advice where to look?

Flutter StoreProduct discounts vs introductoryPrice

Hey,I am currently working on implementing Offers and Discounts into my paywall for flutter, and I'd appreciate assistance with a couple of issues I've encountered.Firstly, everything appears to be working as expected for the AppStore. When I inspect the StoreProduct object, I can see that both the introductoryPrice and discounts fields correctly reflect my setup on AppStore Connect. However, the situation is different for Android/GooglePlay. It seems that only the introductoryPrice is being set, and the discounts field remains empty. Can you confirm if my assumption is correct, and Android never populates the discounts field since the PlayStore does not offer that capability?Secondly, I am a bit confused about how to handle purchases of a Package using discounts and intro prices. On iOS, I successfully used the method Purchases.purchaseDiscountedPackage to buy a package using the StoreProductDiscount. However, I'm unsure how to make a purchase at the introductoryPrice. Are promo code purchases displayed in dashboard?

My first app with subscriptions just went live!Are App Store purchases made with promo codes displayed in the RevenueCat dashboard?I see purchases for my new app, but I also sent out promo codes. When I click on the transaction details, it states that it is production environment and the takehome_percentage is 0.85.I do see a “offer_code” is null, but nothing else about if it is a promo code or not.If anyone could shed some light on the subject I would appreciate it.

[iOS] App Store Promotion implementation: purchases() method never called

Hello, I’m trying to get App Store Promotions for In-App Purchases working through RevenueCat. I feel like I must be missing a permission or some important setup call somewhere, because I just can’t seem to get the delegate purchases method containing readyForPromotedProduct to ever be called when opening an App Store Promotions link (e.g. itms-services://?action=purchaseIntent&bundleId=<BUNDLE_ID_HERE>&productIdentifier=<PRODUCT_ID_HERE>). I’ve confirmed that the normal purchases method (func purchases(_ purchases: Purchases, receivedUpdated customerInfo: CustomerInfo)) gets called every start, but not the one I want. Handling errors in the Unity SDK

Is there a list of all the error code number? Ideally we could rely on an enum to decide what message to display or if we want to attempt a retry, but there is a code number in the SDK’s error that could be the next best thing:We could use that, but we can’t seem to be able to find a comprehensive list of all the errors with their codes, only this list of strings. Where can we find such a list? (We’re using RevenueCat SDK 4.0.0 and Unity 2021.3.8)

Local testing / debugging

Ive been pretty stuck on this local purchase testing. The documentation says to use `await Purchases.setDebugLogsEnabled(enabled)` but it is deprecated and I switched to` await Purchases.setLogLevel(LogLevel.debug);` however, i could never purchase anything locally. Locally, the products do load but when I go to purchase it says “The item you requested is not available for purchase”Searching for answers, I then uploaded the build to google play store. I can do purchase there, but obviously I cannot debug if it’s in google test. I watched some youtube videos, the guy shows that he can purchase on emulators. I am unable to do that.

App Store rejected because of bad offering

Hello,So I am trying to get my app approved on App Store. Basically I have a subscription group which contains a single product that is payed monthly. But I also add an offer of free first month for new users for that product. I did all configurations as tutorials show and I am able to test the subscription, the restore purchases and those things.But then Apple rejected my app saying that I am trying to make a full payment attempt when I should offer the first month for free. I don’t know how this is being handled by revenue cat, am I missing something? I just configured the product on revenue cat but I didn’t configured any “first month offer” inside revenue cat, just on Apple side for that product.We found that your in-app purchase products exhibited one or more bugs which create a poor user experience.Specifically, while your subscription offer promises the first month for free, the purchase page does not respect this offer and attempts to complete the full payment at that instant.P

Auto Renew Status in the new charts

Hi,I don't quite understand how to read the data in the new chart Subscription Retention. I can’t even compare Subscription Retention with Auto Renew Status (original charts) since the new chart comes with a ‘Product duration’ filter that can’t be removed. I tried several combinations of filters but the results I got were totally different from the old chart. Why can’t I use the new chart without that filter? Also what should I pick for a product that is a yearly subscription and has an introductory price for 6 months? I tried both filters for the Product duration and both results are different from the Auto Renew Status with a simple filter by the product. Thanks.

Help selecting correct data safety questions

Looking at this guide and it makes sense but for data deletion I am still trying to understand what information RC is collecting that I am not providing via the SDK. I do not set any attributes or anything extra. Just the app user id which is a guid. Does anything still need to be deleted from RC when user deletes /requests delete their account?Also how does this work if user still has active subscription but delete is request and the delete would be made via the RC API?

No email attribute provided by RevenueCat for Android subscriptions (iOS works fine)

Premium user entitlements.active list is empty

I the app developer and i purchased the premium version of my app in production. ideally i should be getting something in entitlement active object: [Kotlin code] customerInfo.entitlements.active.isNotEmpty() The above code should return true, but only in case of my account its returning as false. and when trying to call the restore method:Purchases.sharedInstance.restorePurchases(object : ReceiveCustomerInfoCallback{ override fun onError(error: PurchasesError) { showToast(this@AccountManagerActivity,error.message) } override fun onReceived(customerInfo: CustomerInfo) { val value = customerInfo.activeSubscriptions.toString() showToast(this@AccountManagerActivity,value) } })} Its throwing some server error. "Trial Cancellation Date" in lists applies to cancelled subscriptions

It appears the "Trial cancellation date" filter also applies if a user has cancelled a subscription? For example we have the following filters to show users in the last X amount of days who have started and cancelled a trial. But going through the list there are 3 active subscribers and it looks like each of them... 1. Start a trial2. Let their trial convert into a subscription3. Cancel the subscription but it has not expired

How could users changed their renewal preference to the one they don't have access to?

timeline:fc_0499_1m_1m0299: removed in iOS app version 1.5 (released on 01/25/2022), replaced by fc_0099_1w_ioshow could the user (1st using app on 02/13) change from fc_0099_1w_ios to fc_0499_1m_1m0299?especially when there is no reason to change: fc_0499_1m_1m0299 is more expensive.

Trial Conversion Chart - Pending

I really like this chart!In particular, as someone with a very new app, I’m enjoying breaking it down by daily cohort, and looking at my conversion rates with a 15-day delay to the current day, to see how each successive cohort did as 14 day trials expire.I had a quick question, how does the pending column work? I noticed that many users will remain in pending past the length of the trial, is this related to my billing grace period, or maybe something to do with payment processing delays? Or are their other factors at play? Just curious, :)

Im seeing this warning in the logs when I launch my app (iOS integration). I’m not calling Purchases.shared.restorePurchases() in this scenario (added a breakpoint to the line where it is called to verify it is not hit). I haven’t touched or set the allowSharingAppStoreAccount value anywhere so I’m not sure what this warning means, maybe I am doing something wrong with my RevenueCat integration? Difference in Revenue Reporting

We are seeing a discrepancy between the Revenue numbers that the individual App Store/Google Play stores are reporting and what RC is reporting. The difference is small, only about 2-3%. Could someone give me some insight into why that might be?Is there a timing difference? Is one recognizing discounts and another isn't?

Fetch product with development bundle id (iOS)

I’m trying to have 2 versions of my app on my iOS test device: one for development and one that is the production (released) version. To do that, I use a different product bundle ID when in development (source). But changing the bundle ID seems to prevent RevenueCat from syncing and getting products. Is there any way to connect to the same app with a different bundle ID? Thanks!
