Hard Paywall or WorkAround

Hey Everyone, The Problem: Paywall looks great, is super easy to implement, BUT seems easy to bypassThe issue is when you runContentView() .presentPaywallIfNeeded(requiredEntitlementIdentifier: "standard")you get a great UI on the iOS paywall, but the user can swipe down and go to ContentView() for free, or press the ‘close button’ x in the upper right hand corner and get to the ContentView for free. This issue was raised here a few months ago, but there does not seem to be a solution yet.                     An Idea of Workaround, but it’s not there yetOne way I like to add logic goes like thisif subscriptionManager.isSubscribed || subscriptionManager.isOnIntroductoryOffer { ContentView() } else { PaywallView() //But seems to have no way to send this to ContentView }above you can see that I just to the logical check myself. [REST API] "Grant promotional" retruns Error with "Not Found"

HiI’m trying to grant promotional with REST API.（https://api.revenuecat.com/v1/subscribers/{app_user_id}/entitlements/{entitlement_identifier}/promotional） docs: https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/api-v1#tag/entitlements But I received error with 404.[raw error message]{status: 404, statusText: 'Not Found', headers: AxiosHeaders, config: {…}, request: ClientRequest, …} What could be the cause of this error?[Already Confirmed Topics]User exists in project (with `https://api.revenuecat.com/v1/subscribers/{app_user_id}`) Entitlement exists in project (with `https://api.revenuecat.com/v2/projects/{project_id}/entitlements/{entitlement_id}`) Path is valid (A generic "Page not found" error message appears when adding an unnecessary character to a path.) The error does not occur only with a specific user. The error does not occur only with a specific entitlement.

I'm getting a 400 Error "Invalid Platform" when updating Stripe tokens to RevenueCat

How to check active entitlements using API

Is there any way using the v1 (or v2) API to check more directly whether an entitlement is active?  The SDK has something like if !customerInfo!.entitlements.active.isEmpty  but it seems like the API just returns something like:       "entitlements" : {          "premium" : {             "expires_date" : "2024-04-23T14:43:37Z",             "grace_period_expires_date" : null,             "product_identifier" : "monthly",             "purchase_date" : "2024-04-23T14:38:37Z"          } when hitting the GET /subscriber endpoint. This means I have to check the expires_date against Date.now() or something like that which feels clunky rather than having the attribute calculated directly on the API.

[TypeError: Cannot read property 'identifier' of undefined]

I am setting up a one-time purchase with RevenuecatI have set up subscriptions before, but never a one-time purchase like the “coins” I am attempting to sell now.  I am logging “currentOffering?.availablePackages and see the correct product I want to sell. When I run: const { customerInfo } = await Purchases.purchasePackage(currentOffering?.availablePackages?.coins); I get this error:  [TypeError: Cannot read property 'identifier' of undefined] Please let me know if you can see what I am doing wrong. Does RevenueCat Events on MixPanel change User Location to RevenueCat server location?

Hello all!It’s been more than a year since we notice that all the users that had a Profile Location of Ashburn, Virginia, US had a wrong location information. There is something that is changing our users location to Ashburn and is not us.We’ve reviewed this issue with our tech team and none of the events that we send from our server are changing the users location. We have also identified, with the help of MixPanel’s Support team that this location changes when a RevenueCat event is sent to our MixPanel.I’m using this channel because RevenueCat’s Support team takes weeks to answer and I wanted to know if there are more cases like us out there so that we can push together to get this fixed.We use MixPanel as our source of truth and we have many cases of with this issue, specially hurts because we are running a paid marketing campaign and we don’t really know if the new subscribed users are comming from the US or if they are more Ashburn cases. I know we can filter them, but that’s not

Hi, We are interested in testing the new RevenueCat Billing feature, it looks super promising!One quick question though, do you plan to support trial and discounts at some point? Always get USD when using package.storeProduct.currencyCode

Hi, experts,I have iOS app and would like to show currency by using RevenueCat SDK (package.storeProduct.currencyCode).  I have set up currency and price in Apple Store such as below, product/entitlement/offering in RevenueCat and so on so forth.  But I can only get USD instead of TWD.Do I need to set up or miss anything in Apple Store?  Or that SDK is not the right one to use?Please advise.  Thank you.Regards,Joey

How to delete a sandbox user??

Hi All,We have all read the documents on how to delete a sandbox user, but couldn’t find an exact solution. We see 4 active users which are our tests https://prnt.sc/dxie0_1PhtCO , but cannot see or delete these users and cannot test our subscriptions from these devices. And stuck with it. :( Also cannot click and select this sandbox data https://prnt.sc/gMjo7P8ldX5z  We also couldn’t find from the dashboard https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/dashboard-and-metrics/customer-history/manage-users where the manage users menu is 😥So if anyone can help it will be really appreciated 🙏

Confused about entitlements, products and offerings for tiered feature sets

Hello. I’m a bit confused about how to organize everything and was hoping to get some tips for best practices.My app has:Three subscription tiers (Are these “entitlements”?) Basic Pro Platinum Two subscription types for each platform: Monthly and annually (Are these “products” ?) android_basic_monthly, ios_basic_monthly android_basic_annaul, ios_basic_annual android_pro_monthly, ios_pro_monthly ...and so on Feature sets in each tier that inherit features from lower tiers (Are these “offerings”?) Basic: Remove ads, custom avatar Pro: All Basic features plus Feature A, Feature B, Feature C Platinum: All Basic and Pro features plus Feature D and Feature E If the feature sets for each tier are not offerings, then how are they represented in a Revenuecat payload/metada and where can I manage them on Revenuecat?

Testing Subscriptions on Testflight & Adjust Events?

Hi There,Is there an easy way to test the subscriptions on TestFlight version and see also the partner integration is correctly working for Adjust? Or do we have to go live with the iOS version on production? Cause this is a bit risky, we have changed all our subscription infrastructure with RevenueCat.And just need to be sure of All Trials, Trial Converted subscriptions cancellations and other events are working well, and also we should see them on Adjust dashboard with our TestFlight version if possible?

Sandbox subscription timestamps are UTC but we're on BST in the UK

Trying to test subscriptions here in the UK, I’m getting times that are an hour earlier than they should be.Eg. in the below, “event_timestamp_ms: 1715095053830” is 3:17 pm UTC but it was purchased at 4:17 PM BST). What does store_transaction_id refer to in CustomerInfo in REST v1 API

I noticed that when retrieving the CustomerInfo object form the REST v1 api there is a ‘store_transaction_id’ included for each subscription and non_subscription object. This field isn’t documented in the CustomerInfo documentation. Can you clarify what it refers to? I’m hoping it refers to the original_transaction_id so that I can use it to correlate subscriptions with event hooks as I’ve seen other developers ask for numerous times. For transactions in the sandbox this number is not unique but I assume that’s just a feature/shortcoming of the sandbox environment. Can someone confirm?

Where/how to remove a promotional subscription?

The documentation states what I copied below, but in fact there appears to be no control in the dashboard to remove a promotional entitlement: Removing Promotional Subscriptions​Granted entitlements will automatically be removed after expiration. To remove access to an entitlement early, click the :fa-times-circle: icon next to the Granted Entitlement name.(from this page) The event data for the granting of this entitlement clearly indicates it was a promotional: "price": 0,"price_in_purchased_currency": 0,"product_id": "rc_promo_Premium_lifetime","purchased_at_ms": 1712048102051,"store": "PROMOTIONAL","takehome_percentage": 1,"transaction_id": "07cfd55a01f61543a7e525bcf8bf9950" Please tell me where/how to remove a promotional subscription from a customer.Thank you.

Purchases.init does not update when called 2 times.

Background: In my flutter app it is possible for a user to sign out and another user to sign in without restarting the app.  To support this feature the app calls Purchases.init whenever a user logs in.  If the transition is non-sub to sub this works as expected IE the latter user sees their subscription. But this does not work if transition is sub to non-sub.  In this case RC fails to update to non-sub and the non-sub user appears to have a subscription until they restart the app and the sub is gone.Fix: reset all data when Purchase.init is called.

What format is PurchaserInfo?

Using RevenueCat for Unity, I am receiving json return values from RC in response to GetOfferings, RestorePurchases, etc. They usually come in the form of a PurchaserInfo object. I can’t find any documentation anywhere on the exact details of what is in this object.Specifically the date values look like this:"originalPurchaseDate":1626733276,"latestPurchaseDate":1626733275EDIT: Ohhh, these Ints are just the values shown by the XCode debugger, in C# the object contains dates in DateTime type. I was looking at the raw json data and wondering what those date numbers stood for. Still trying to find in-depth docs for the C# Type PurchaserInfo, what all is in it and how it behaves.What are these integers and how does one make them into a date? Does any documentation exist detailing the return values from RC calls?Thanks!

Subscriptions field in PurchaseInfo object

Hi, I have the following questionIn your documentation, under the Subscription Status tab, it clearly states that the subscriptions field is a collection (array) that stores Subscription objects within it. And this response I expect from the REST API. But as far as I noticed, making request to API "subscriptions" is an object that stores fields in itself - so it is not a collection. And this can be seen in the "Rest API endpoints" documentation where in the "Get or Create Subscriber" request the example "subscriptions" is just an object instead of a collection. Could you please clarify this inaccuracy for me? Because when I currently make a request to the API in "sandbox" mode, I also get the subscriptions{...} object instead of the subscriptions[...] array.Thanks in advance.
