AppStore Rejection - Subscribe button unresponsive

So we’ve been dealing with this issue being sent to us by the reviewer. We continue to find that your in-app purchase products exhibited one or more bugs when reviewed on iPad running iOS 15.7 on Wi-Fi. Specifically, the Subscribe button was unresponsive when tapped and we were unable to verify the purchasing process for your in app purchase items. Next Steps When validating receipts on your server, your server needs to be able to handle a production-signed app getting its receipts from Apple’s test environment. The recommended approach is for your production server to always validate receipts against the production App Store first. If validation fails with the error code "Sandbox receipt used in production," you should validate against the test environment instead. This is our first time releasing to app store. Should we ask the reviewer his/her appleID and add it as one of Sandbox testers?We appreciate all of your feedbacks.

How to sync subscription status of a user using the REST API

Hi, I have a mobile app (iOS/Android) and the backend is built with Django+MySQL. My app offers a monthly/yearly “premium user” subscription and we’re using RevenueCat to handle IAPs. But we also want to keep the subscription status (isPremiumUser or not) of a user in our own database’s user records as well. I read through the documentation for RevenueCat webhooks and came across this excerpt.Webhooks are commonly used to keep a subscribers status in sync with RevenueCat across multiple systems. To simplify the logic of handling different webhook types, we recommend creating a polling system using the GET /subscribers REST API to sync the subscription status of the customer from RevenueCat to your database. Then, each webhook event can simply be a trigger to call this sync function. How to test flutter IAP using iOS simulator?

Hi there,I’m trying to fetch my consumable offers on my iOS simulator but I get empty products. Developer action needed on Subscription

Hi, I am new to iAP and Subscriptions. After 10 years, i decide to go free app with subscription and i realized after my app approved theres something wrong. I edited some field in the appstore connect and i cant submit new version with the subscription. I am attaching a screenshot, for the appstore localization, it says waiting for review. And in the subscriptions section, it says developer action needed. How to get out of here and submit the new version with the subscription successfully for review?

Stripe payment issue leads to cancellation? And missing payment success events?

Hi, I have a very similar issue to  However, my issue is with Stripe, not Apple, so I created a new post. This user https://app.revenuecat.com/activity/4f1862c1/event/3f78f0bd-5bed-4de8-8772-8e4be182707d had a billing issue and cancellation on 2/1. While on Stripe, they had several more events and no cancellation event.payment failed on 2/1. This matches with revcat payment failed again on 2/8. Not found in revcat payment succeeded on 2/12. Not found in revcatNo cancellation event is found in Stripe. Can you clarify if there was an error on Revcat’s side, or if this is intended behavior? If it’s intended, what’s the recommended way to handle this scenario?

Check the subscription when the Device is off-line?

This is the scenario.I develop with Flutter.I have a subscription that is automatically renewed monthly or annually.My app can safely work with all the features even off-line.Of course, to subscribe, you need to be online.But I wonder: if after the first monthly subscription, the user always uses my app off-line (he must of course remember to put the device off-line before using it), how can I check if the subscription has been deleted?Can there be a way?Thanks for any suggestion.

Stuck on Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions blank page

Hi there, We're using `purchases_flutter: 3.9.5` in our Flutter app. When I sent a Test Flight with our IAP implementation, all users get an iOS popup saying the `Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions have changed`, which upon pressing "ok" takes the user to a blank screen.  This state is so weird that revenue cat doesn't even return anything from the Purchase method. So by closing this blank screen the app just hangs on loading, waiting for Revenue Cat to return a response from the purchase method, which it never does. Closing the app completely causes the Terms to Pop back up once again, but this time it loads, and upon pressing accept the iOS "successful purchase" pop up comes up. Any following purchases work as expected, without the terms. All iOS beta users are facing this issue the first time they try to perform the purchase. Will this happen in the live app? Anyone know what to do here? Thanks

iOS offerings empty only after successful app store review (testing with promo code)

Our iOS app works ok in TestFlight but subscription offerings is coming back empty once the app is approved by apple. Our steps arePost to TestFlight prior to review  Launch app and go to subscription screen - works fine Send for Apple Review (set to manual release) App passes Apple Review Download with a promo code Launch app and go to subscription screen - no products! Try restoring purchases - no products!Obviously we’d like to make sure this works before we manually release, is there anything that might be stopping the offerings/products showing after the Apple Review. Is it the promo code? Offerings are empty in developer build on ios but work fine in sandbox on testflight

I’ve done everything described here and it’s working fine in sandbox but when we published application into app store, the app store version didn’t work, in the logs we got this error:Could not find SKProduct for ( "subscription_30", "subscription_360", "subscription_180") There is a problem with your configuration in App Store Connect. How to resolve a rejected app due to mislabeled as Apple Pay

My application got rejected due to:Guideline 1.1.6 - Safety - Objectionable Content We noticed that your app’s in-app purchase products are mislabeled as Apple Pay, which could confuse and mislead users.To clarify this further, when they tapped to purchase the item, my app initiated Apple Pay [payment sheet] instead of In-App purchasing!!!I have updated my app to Revenue Cat, I am not doing anything about this the sheet is showing automatically by the app store, not from my side. I have tested via Test Flight and it shows the right sheet: any idea why this happened?

Hitoday we are experiencing problems with our billing on sandbox at least.Not sure about live payment but only renewals came through there as well. whenever we try a test subscription we get something like “This item is currently being modified. Multiple users with a single Google account subscribed twice ( second one succeed with $0 )

Lately I received multiple users who already have an active subscription from Google Play, then signed out and created a new account and from what I understand they won’t be allowed to subscribe with the same billing / Google account.However, I received a webhook call from RevenueCat that he subscribed successfully in the new account with a $0 bill.This is the webhook call back I have received from RC:"presented_offering_id": "plus","price": 0,"price_in_purchased_currency": 0,…"transaction_id": "GPA.3333-*** And both records has a unique transaction id under the same Google Play account, here’s records:I am not sure what’s happening, it’s the third times in the last 2 weeks.Please advise. P.S. I am adding a price check on the webhook function, rejecting new subscriptions with price=0, but not sure any side effects and the user still receive a “successfully subscribed” message on the frontend, so from the user’s angle it will be confusing.Thank you.

Dear RevenueCat,First of all, thank you for developing and maintaining this solution. I have been users of your service in production for a few years now. It has been working great. However, recently I start seeing this error message in Google Play Console for my app. “You're using the InAppProduct API to manage subscriptions, which is now deprecated and will stop being supported for new apps in January 2024, and for all apps in May 2024. Start using the new Subscriptions API to get new features including multiple base plans and offers, as well as prepaid plans.”I have some questions related to that. Missing EXPIRATION webhooks

Hi support,I came across a few users that seem to be missing the EXPIRATION calls on which we rely to correctly cancel premium subscriptions. I leave below an example, a capture taken while writing: As you can see this is a user that should've expired on 12.01.2021 after failing to renew the subscription, but the premium status (top-right corner) is also saying the user renewed the subscription. That looks to me like something got lost on the way. The above raises some questions that I hope you can help with:to confirm this is normal behavior, or expected, a known issue; if not, why does this happen? what percentage of missing EXPIRATION (or other webhooks) should I expect? How should i structure my offerings?

Hey all 👋 I'm currently making an app using RCs Flutter SDK and I'm excited to get integrated. I believe I've wrapped my head around entitlements, packages, and offerings and what input on my future offerings.  My budgeting app will have 2 entitlements for standard and premium subscriptions. I also plan to sell monthly and yearly subscriptions on iOS and Android.  So far, everything seems normal and similar to the products examples on the doc site.  My twist is that service I offer will only allow users to connect to N financial institutions based on the subscription level a user chooses. I want to be able to offer the standard plan with a default entitlement of 3 linked institutions and the premium with a default of 7 institutions.  I'm also planning to allow users to change their linked institutions limit manually (from 3 to 5 for example) and have their monthly/yearly subscription reflect that change in cost.  My question is, will I have to make an entitlement for each amount of li

iOS code redemption issues in flutter

Hi all,Im trying to get iOS Code Redemption working in flutter and having some issues.So as per the doc (not flutter specific, so following the API doc mixed with the swift example), and I go ahead and call: await Purchases.presentCodeRedemptionSheet();And then….. nothing happens? Is there anything else that needs to be done in the code after the sheet is dismissed to detect that a purchase has been made via the code redemption sheet? It’s really hard to test as this as it seems as though it cant be tested in a simulator or in debug mode on a real device - so I’m doing it ‘live’ and not getting any really good logging.The “Codes” are attached to an App Store IAP that I do have configured in revenuecat / has an entitlement….I’ve tried to re-initialise the purchaserinfo object & check for entitlements again and its still not triggering in the way it should if an entitlement is detected. Running purchases_flutter 3.1.0 on flutter 2.0.5Anyone have any ideas?

Went through this list  and followed all the rules. Everything works fine in debug and I am able to make sandbox purchases. But when it comes to production offerings are empty.Any idea why it’s happening or how can I debug the problem?

Some RENEWAL webhook events are missing (at least in Sandbox)

Hei there.We are getting closer and closer to finally launch the app :)But yesterday we found that not all RENEWAL events are send to our server.For one test purchase I got 8 Emails from Google (initial purchase, 6 renewing and cancelling)In the RC Dashboard I only see 3 events for this user, INITIAL_PURCHASE, RENEWAL, CANCELLATION.In a previous test I got 4 events from RC, this time there were 2 RENEWAL events inbetween INITIAL_PURCHASE and CANCELLATION.Why is this happening? And a Bonus question is about the BILLING_ISSUE and the CANCELLATION events. When the subscription ends, like in this case because the user did not pay anymore, shouldn’t there be both events fired? Or do they just show up as one event in the RC dashboard?

How does the new EXPIRATION event handle grace periods?

Hi,I am using a web hook to track user subscription status on my server. The new EXPIRATION event seems like a good way to tell if the user should be downgraded or not. This raises a couple of questions though:If a grace period is defined in the App Store for billing issues, when does the EXPIRATION event get fired (assuming the billing issue is not resolved): before the grace period or after?Another question we have is: if a subscription is paused (possible only on Google Play), is this event (EXPIRATION) fired?Thanks!Yariv from the Bizillion team

One of the subscriber's App User ID is missing

Recently one user subscribed to our annual plan, however the webhook failed to proceed because the App user ID returned only the RC Anonymous ID ( $RCAnonymousID… ).I have no idea why it happens and not sure what to do next, all I can do is wait for him to contact us. Any advice? FYR, all other users has successfully logged in with the correct App user ID.

iOS Free trial + offer code?

hey folks,we’re facing a bit of a conundrum:On iOS, we offer a 7 day free trial as an introductory offer. However, for some users that come from channel partners we’ve created (iOS 14) offer codes that give users either a 2 week or 1 month free trial. For these offer codes, we’ve set "No, this code will replace the introductory offer”.A few times now, a user who was supposed to use the offer code, instead redeemed the introductory offer 7 day free trial. After they do this, we give them the offer code and when they redeem it, Apple adds the introductory offer 7 day free trial to the 1 month free trial and so they get ~37 day free trial.Is there any way for me to have it change from the 7 day trial to the 1 month free trial instead, instead of going to the 1 week + 1 month?Also, users report that after they redeem the offer code (after initially redeeming the introductory 7 day trial offer), in their Apple ID subscription settings, they see “plan automatically renews at $X.XX/month star

Non-consumable IAP unlock failing ONLY during App Review

My Mac app is a free download and offers a non-consumable IAP to purchase the full app (using RevenueCat of course). About a third of the time when submitting my app to App Review, the reviewer is unable to complete the purchase: they go through the correct purchase flow but ultimately the IAP never becomes unlocked in their testing sandbox, so the update is rejected.I’ve never experienced this myself in my testing and in production on the App Store, this has never been a problem. However dealing with these rejections are a bit of a nightmare because it’s not clear what the problem is with the reviewer’s sandbox environment, and what I can do on my end to assist.Has anyone else faced a similar issue?

Could not find SKProduct from identifier

Hi,I’ve been seeing a lot of errors in my analytics where no product is returned fromPurchases.shared.productsalthough the provided string identifier is valid. I’ve double checked everything, the product identifier, the app name, the code and RevenueCat’s config as well.This doesn’t happen all the times, since some of our clients are still able to buy the product. Could someone point me towards a possible explanation? Thanks for reading! Sofia
