How to switch apps from one collaborator to another

I added a collaborator (a team member) and he added a bunch of new apps that we would like to use. Unfortunately the newly added apps do not show up on our main admin account. Any way to have those apps show up on my main admin account? What we tried: Tried to add collaborators from the other apps and it asked the collaborator to upgrade Any suggestions welcome!

INITIAL_PURCHASE event with expiration_at_ms=0

From what I can tell this user had a yearly subscription, opted-out a year ago then enabled it back. Is this a RevenueCat bug?

Why does event data not match API data?

Context For subscriptions, we have both A Node.js webhook that updates subscription info for a user in our database. iOS code fetching the latest purchase info with the revenue cat API. This code checks the user’s expiration date on start up. Ideally, we can remove the iOS code and just rely on the webhook, but this is not acceptable as explained below... Problem It seems that the event data have incorrect subscription expiration dates. In contrast, the API is giving us the right date. We saw this issue while looking at the dashboard events. This user’s last received a “PRODUCT_CHANGE” event. They switched from a monthly to annual subscription using a promotion code, giving them a month trial ending on Sep 12, 2021. This event instead had "expiration_at_ms": 1628876655000, which is Aug 13, 2021. Also, the event didn’t have any promotion code data. However, the API gave us the correct date of Sep 12, 2021. The customer’s entitlements section also has the correct date, noting “Trial conv

A/B Experiments - why are we seeing an uneven distribution?

We have enabled a/b experiments and are testing what experiment performs best. We also have analytics around what SKUs users are seeing. We’ve noticed that our default variant is seen 70% of the time and variant B 30%. It’s hard to tell if this is a RevenueCat issue or whether our users are that skewed in terms of who is looking at the paywall. Any ideas on why we would see such an uneven distribution?

How can a user have multiple trial conversions listed in Customer View?

Hi! As this image shows, the customer started a trial and seems to have converted three times. Only 1 showing a CAD value. Then 2 times opted out of renewal after that. I was wondering what is going on?

Segment Stripe Subscriptions by UTM Campaign ID

We have been prompting different user cohorts to subscribe. To judge the effectiveness of our targeting, we created a different UTM campaign ID for each cohort. All of the these subscriptions are via Stripe. Is there a way for us to breakout subscriptions based on weblink or UTM campaign ID?

Feature request for new charts - Install trend line

Would love to see one of the new charts show install trend lines and ability to segment. Frustrates me that installs are shown on dashboard but can’t really do anything with this data.

Subscription change shows wrong subscription renewal preference

Hello, I have a problem with changing renewal preference of my subscriptions, it was just working yesterday but now it shows that subscription I wanted to changed to is bought and subscription I wanted changed from is set as a new renewal preference. So to explain it more clearly: I have now “subscription_month” want to change to “subscription_year” when I click to buy it it show correctly native android message that you will change from “subscription_month” to “subscription_year”. But when I go to revenuecat I see “Started a subscription of subscription_year” Changed their renewal preference to “subscription_month” Don’t know why this happen I checked and it gives correct sku in UpgradeInfo I am taking it from “purchaserInfo.activeSubscriptions[0]”. As I said it was working just yesterday so I have no idea what could have changed.

Question about webhook type

Hi, I’m confused about what should the webhook type be in the following 2 cases: I canceled my subscription or my subscription expired, then after several months I purchase it again in the app. I realized Gold subscription I previously purchased is not enough so I purchased Platinum subscription in the app while my Gold subscription is active.

Table of Revenue or Transactions per month per user

Hi There, We are just starting on our RevenueCat journey, so far I have integrated RC with our App and the revenue is starting to roll in, so far so good. Our Business Model demands that we split the Revenue between different Content Creators depending on the location of our Users, this is easy for other countries, but gets pretty fine grained in our own country since we are splitting according to states (cantons in Switzerland). So I have added an attribute to our Users defining the Region they live in. Since we have a monthly payroll for our content creators, I need a chart that tells me which user has spent how much in say the month of July and where they are situated. I can create a customer list putting the most recent purchase between 7.1 and 7.31 but i only see the total amount spent and have no way of knowing how much the User has spent within this time frame. Is there a way to get this data in one table? Is this perhaps something I should use a 3rd party integration for? Also

Experiment test group in Amplitude?

When running an experiment https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/experiments I can go into a user page and under “Current offering” see in what test group this user is. Could this data be shared to amplitude as well? So that I in amplitude can know what test group a user is in?

Hello, In the recent months, I notice on my main dashboard that my MRR is higher than my revenue (last 28 days). How does that work? I thought MRR should never be higher than monthly revenue. Cheers!

"Trial Cancellation Date" in lists applies to cancelled subscriptions

It appears the "Trial cancellation date" filter also applies if a user has cancelled a subscription? For example we have the following filters to show users in the last X amount of days who have started and cancelled a trial. But going through the list there are 3 active subscribers and it looks like each of them... 1. Start a trial 2. Let their trial convert into a subscription 3. Cancel the subscription but it has not expired

Why are active entitlements empty with an active subscription?

If you have an active subscription that should unlock an entitlement but it doesn't, make sure that subscription's product is added to the entitlement in your dashboard.

Subscription or trial should have expired but still shows as active

If you feel like a subscription or trial should have expired, but you see that it’s still active, then that subscription is likely in a grace period. For example, this user signed up for a 3-day free trial of the 1-month subscription on May 5, 2020 which should have converted on May 08, 2020. However, the dashboard shows the expiration date as May 24, 2020. This is because Apple applied a 16-day grace period due to some billing issue. Apple will continue attempting to bill the user until they successfully do so or reach the end of the 16-day grace period, at which point the trial will no longer be active.

User cancelled but still got charged

Did a user reach out to you saying their card was charged after opting out of an auto-renewal? This is possible, and there are a few reasons why it happens: The user cancelled less than 24 hours before the subscription was set to renew. The Apple subscription terms require users to cancel subscriptions at least 24 hours before the next renewal. The user didn't actually opt-out of renewal. Some users will delete the app and expect the subscription to be cancelled. The user somehow has two subscriptions and cancelled only one of them. This is uncommon, but can happen if for example the user has multiple devices using different accounts. The user might have opted back in renewal after opting out. Inspecting the Customer History timeline in RevenueCat can help determine which of these scenarios may have applied. It's important that you can communicate to your customer what may have happened, and help them get a refund if you see fit.

When a purchase isn't showing up in RevenueCat

Sometimes a user will say they've made a purchase but they don't seem to have access to the content in RevenueCat. What gives? There are several reasons why that might happen, and this article will walk you through what you can do to troubleshoot. If there's no purchases showing in the RevenueCat dashboard it means that either no receipt was sent by that App User ID, or the receipt that was sent didn't contain any purchases. In this case you should: Ask the user to Restore Purchases (or someway trigger the restoreTransactions() SDK method). Restoring will re-sync the current receipt on the device with RevenueCat, and unlock any associated content. There are cases, such as network connectivity failures, where the receipt may never make it to RevenueCat after a purchase. There is automatic retry logic built into the SDK to handle these scenarios, but a manual restore is another way to resend the receipt. Try to confirm with the user that they are logged in with the correct Apple ID/Googl

How often is data updated in the RevenueCat dashboard? Latency of data in the RevenueCat dashboard depends on what you're viewing and how you've set up your app. We can break down the data into three categories: Transactions Charts and metrics Customer Lists Transactions in RevenueCat are new purchases and renewals (including free trials). Transactions will be shown in real-time - this includes the Customer History timelines. For data points other than transactions, things like billing issues detected, auto-renew status changes, etc., will be automatically detected by RevenueCat every few hours, but can be sped up to near real-time by enabling platform server-notifications. Charts and metrics are continuously computed in batches from a snapshot of the transactions and activity at that point in time. As soon as the calculation finishes, is starts again.
