Hello guys, suddenly I cannot grant any promotional access, to be more specific, I cannot choose any entitlement, there is none, but was it available just one hour ago. Is there any limit or something?  Cheers

Hey, I know it is “not possible to differentiate” between regular purchases and promo codes you give out for your app on the Apple App Store. I think there’s a way.This obviously only matters when your audience is small and/or your app is first released and you’re obsessing about your first 100 users, but I think it would help people who are starting out with RC to support this.I noticed on some transactions I can see in the history that they purchased and cancelled immediately. Like, 100% immediately and have the same `event_timestamp_ms`. This clearly indicates a promo code purchase as they do not renew. So surely these can be binned & flagged as promo code purchases when the purchase + unsubscribe happen within say 500ms of each other, and so filtered out from most of the reports? I’m sure it wouldn’t be perfect, but it’s got to be better than me having to go in and look at individual transactions or use App Store Connect to show only the true purc

Suppose I have Starter plan and My MTR more than $10k. For Purchase status I set key in customer entitlement using SDK. Now I downgrade my plan to free. In this case, My App user will get the InApp status in application using RevanueCat SDK? 

The revenue amount reported by RevenueCat did not equal the amount I expect, so I want to update my mental model. What am I missing? I’ve set the price to 24.99 USD. The Mr. Google set the price across the globe accordingly. The list price in Germany is 28.99 EUR including 19% VAT. So the price shown to user is 28.99 EUR. The 5.51 is deducted as a VAT. Then there was a purchase.  List Price: OK Tax: 4.63… Weird, that it’s not 5.51 as stated about, but… Okay. Estimated Revenue: OK. I’m testing my live purchases in the App Store before public announcement of the product. I’m probably misunderstanding but “Conversion to paying” chart shows zero conversion, even though I installed the app and paid for a real subscription myself yesterday. The subscription shows up correctly, but it shows zero conversions. Why?  

We have custom subscribers attributes like persona and we would like to be able to segment and filter graph based on this. I don’t think it’s possible today, is it in a planned featured? It would really help to estimate LTV and revenue per persona.

Hey, We are a UK based business, with 90% of our subscriptions coming in as GBP. It would be great if your graphs and etl jobs could be set to convert to the currency of your choice rather than USD. The issue I have is due to currency rate changes if we compare year on year revenue numbers, it’s hard to do that if the currency rates have changed significantly in the same period. Right now the USD to GBP rate has changed about 10-15% year on year, hence this being a bit of an issue for us.ThanksJohn

I am unable to view dates when exporting the .CSV from customer lists. 1) .gz is a silly file type to use for compression 2)I have followed the directions in this for PC.  I have tried the Excel import wizard. It works but dates are illegible. I have tried pasting from a text editor into both GooglSheets and Excel with the same issue. I am not an Excel nor Google sheets rookie by any means but this issue has stumped me. Extremely frustrated. .csv is an extremely simple format to use and export. 

Hi, I just came across this article talking about the new segmentation support for the retention charts and also the consideration of user maturity now.I’m a little bit confused about the last point.From my understanding, it means that in the retention chart you don’t consider anymore that a user will renew until it has actually renewed, am I correct? When I look at a retention chart without any segment, it seems like you’re still considering that a user will renew unless it cancels its subscription:Retention chart for the last 90 days​​​​​​On the other hand, when I add a segment like country

I’m exporting data to try and measure revenue performance of ASA campaigns to work out overall ROAS but the revenue export is unusable and just shows my ad groups as 357 columns. These can’t be added to a pivot table and can’t be aggregated without manually going through and manipulating the data.Is there a way to export only totals, or export it in a usable format, or does anyone have a ‘fix’ to allow the data to be used in Excel please?Ideally we’d have campaign/ad group name as column A, revenue total(s) as column B/C/D. This would allow us to easily aggregate the data, instead of having separate revenue columns for every single ad group or campaign.Thanks in advance!

Hi, I released a new version of my apps on July 14. Since July 15, RC is reporting double the new users (500 - 600), but the play console and apple connect is showing the same average users I get this days (200 - 300), I don’t know from where is RC reporting double. I did not change anything in my app logic or upgraded the sdk. 

Hello,I am using “active subscriptions” segmented by the first purchase month to look at blended retention (all product duration). I find it very convenient. What I realized recently is that if you compare:yearly retention chart active subscription chart filtered yearly and segmented by first purchase monthYou get a different result. In particular, the yearly retention chart initial value for a cohort is around 10% higher than the active subscription chart initial value. I am trying to understand why.

I'd like to track the number of new paying customers we get each month (to calculate CAC). I’ve found two ways to do this, but am seeing large discrepancies between the two. Can someone help me understand the discrepancy, and recommend the best way to get this number?Here is what I’ve been looking at:Active Subscriptions Movement chart - # of “New Actives” for a given month.  Customers list - filtered down (e.g. for May, first purchase date >= 2022-05-01, first purchase date < 2022-06-01, total spent > $0) I’m seeing a discrepancy of 13% for May, and 50% for June (numbers are in the low hundreds). My first guess is data lag. 

I am trying to export a list of all customers with an promotional purchase however most (over half) of the users that are export do not have the app_user_id column set.I know for a fact that all these users have an app_user_id as this is used to grant their promotions. It also looks fine for the sample of most recently active users that display in the customer list on the website as they all display their app_user_id under the customers column.I have compared the list of most recently active from the website  to what was exported and there are ids on the website that don’t appear in the export.Can anyone provide insight into why this columnmight not be populated for majority of my users on the customer list export? Any help is very much appreciated.

Hello,We want to create our own dashboards from the raw data that we received from Revenucat. We transfer the data to BigQuery about 1 day behind. When we group monthly active subscribers by month, we cannot match them with the data in the table that revenuecat provides us. Meanwhile, we find minor differences acceptable. Unfortunately the difference is too much.For example, while the number of active users in May is 1419 in our code, it is 1893 in the active subscriber chart of Revenucat. I am sharing the SQL code I wrote. The logic we have established here, in short, is this. We got price_in_usd > 0 to eliminate trial users so that data is not duplicated. We also set the sandbox area to false to avoid getting sandbox data. We thought that the original_store_transaction_id refreshes itself when creating the store transaction id with every purchase. How do I filter the customers so that I can see which trials are expiring the soonest and which ones are expiring last. Right now all the dates are out of order

We are using stripe and by mistake we have restore a purchase from a use to an incorrect user. So that users now are alias.Can we revert the change?Should we remove both users and create them again?

The Graphs report no revenue and no new trials since more than 24 hrs.We do have both though.System status shows everything green which it obviously isn’t  CheersKarl

I’m confused about what the “New Customers” metric means? Does that mean how many people have subscribed or how many people have viewed the paywall screen? 

We have just imported about 5000 Stripe receipts. We can look up individual customers by their user id, but none of them show up in the Active customer list. Our import was very straightforward. We just imported the user id and the fetch_token (stripe receipt). Everything looks correct for each customer in terms of their subscription dates and spend, but they don’t appear to be recognized as active

Hi!, sometimes when I create a new sandbox account and make a purchase, the dashboard shows the number of transactions more than once. My appstore settings seem to be okey. Even though I purchased it once, the package seems to be renewed by itself. I only have this problem in apple, there is no such problem in android 

In our application we have a logic of a 3 days free use period, that we provide to the user by granting them Promotional Entitlements through RevenueCat API. During that period user can manually click the upgrade button to start a play store/app store subscription. We would expect that once the store subscription is purchased, promotional entitlements would be replaced with the ones from subscription. However this doesn’t happen, which causes some problems. For example, we can’t tell if user is currently using play store/app store 7 days subscription-trial (available once, after which they got billed automatically), because `entitlement.storeType` is always equal to `promotional` and `entitlement.periodType` is always equal to `normal`. Also all the entitlements have product indentifiers starting with `rc_promo`. Only after the promotional entitlement is expired, they get replaced with correct data
