How to handle web subscriptions sync?

We are using Paddle for web subscriptions and aren’t sure how to link userIDs and sync status with RevenueCat. Is there a way we can post userIDs and subscription status to RevenueCat so that when the user logs in on iOS we know if they are subscribed or not. The reason I want to do it this way is because otherwise we’ll have to create a new layer on our backend that tracks subscription status for all users and we will need to check that instead of the RevenueCat SDK which kind of defeats the purpose.  Otherwise, we could first check if they are RevenueCat subscribed then check our backend too - which would work I think. But isn’t there some web sdk for subscriptions?

A reliable method to detect paid app users (not based on app version)

Hello,I recently explored the guide on transitioning a paid iOS app to a subscription model as outlined in your article at RevenueCat. While insightful, it doesn't entirely address our specific requirements.Our application is initially free to download, offering in-app purchases (IAP) to access additional functionalities. We're considering introducing a paid version in select markets to evaluate its performance. For this purpose, I'm seeking an effective method to verify whether a user has made a purchase to download the app (not based on the app version).I've come across the possibility of locating a receipt within the app bundle that could potentially provide this information. Could you advise on the reliability of this approach and how to implement it effectively?Thanks for your help.

Customer purchase goes through but their account does not show a purchase record

I am successfully making a purchase in IOS sandbox environment and returning the customerInfo object shown below. However once the user is automatically logged in i check their subscription status and it is empty.The user does not show up in my sandbox customer list in revenue cat and the only way i can find them is by manually searching their user ID. When i call the login function there is no active purchases so my app will not authenticate them once they try to re login, or if they want to view their active subscriptions. I am not sure why I am returning a successful purchase object but their account has no record of a purchase?Here is the customerInfo object after making the subscription purchase 'customer INFO: ', { firstSeen: '2024-02-16T03:51:30Z',  entitlements:    { active:       { pro:          { willRenew: true,           ownershipType: 'PURCHASED',           productIdentifier: 'sportyMonthly899',           originalPurchaseDateMillis: 1708095600000,           latestPurchaseD

Paywall Flutter question, do we need to

I have a paywall in my new flutter app and it has processed two payments so far, so seems to be workign well. But I noticed a crash in my Android Developers Console and when I went through it I saw this line: Caused by ga.i0: There is no singleton instance. Make sure you configure Purchases before trying to get the default instance. More info here: https://errors.rev.cat/configuring-sdk Do we need to configure the purchase beforehand? I would think yes, and maybe I am configurign mine in an odd way which is why its been working. In a nutshell, same story as in the other post, but now I'm hitting the 14000 limit as well. E.g. in English:I would not say it's too much info, especially given that Google would not approve the app without this extra info.

iOS RevenueCat migration using transaction ID?

Hello,I have an iOS app with existing subscribers and I want to migrate to RevenueCat. Unfortunately, I have not saved the base64-encoded receipt files, but I have saved the iOS transaction IDs that allows a lookup of subscriber data from Apple’s App Store Server API. Is there any migration path that supports using this information? I’m aware of the client-side migration path but would prefer a server-side path. Thanks,Alan

[Feature request]: Purchase of consumable with more than 1 quantity

I am super disappointed to find that this expected functionality (at least for iOS) is not available in Revenue Cat. This has caused us a huge issue - we’re almost finished migrating to RC for payments as we add a new platform to our stack (Web) with the last part of our migration being updating the iOS app - ALL of the backend work has been completed for this and only now are we finding out that this basic functionality is not available. It’s not exactly sign-posted either and so not picked up during initial investigation of RC - mainly because this doesn’t seem like something you’d need to actively validate is possible! Surely this is on your roadmap? I can see many people have been asking for this - if there’s a timeline for this please let me know or it seems impossible that we can move forward with RC as a solution.

Random Localised paywall shown on iOS.

Why do I see different localization on my paywall created via revenuecat paywalls on TestFlight? I’ve configured different locales in the revenuecat’s paywall localization section but whenever I launch the Testflight version of my app, a random localised version of paywall gets shown. I want to know if this happens only on TestFlight users or can it happen for App Store users as well.

Missing NON_RENEWING_PURCHASE Events

Five days ago, we noticed a significant issue within our system where a considerable number of purchase events were missing. This discrepancy was brought to our attention by our users, who reported purchasing packages but not receiving the corresponding coins.Upon investigation, we found that despite users successfully completing purchases via Google Play, the associated events were not being captured by our system through RevenueCat's webhook integration. Are there any plans for an official Capacitor plugin?

I’m using Ionic with Capacitor.The RevenueCat documentation recommends using a cordova plugin, but Ionic has been in the process of migrating away from Capacitor for the past few years, and this is now the only Cordova plugin in my app.There’s already a capacitor plugin on github but I was wondering if there are any plans to release an official Capacitor plugin as well.

Sending Stripe tokens to RevenueCat (Squarespace)

I'm trying to integrate revenuecat with the stripe checkout on my squarespace website - so that when a customer subscribes the subscription will be automatically applied. Create projects, apps etc. via API

Hello there,I’m creating multiple whitelabel apps for several platforms, clients etc and would love to use RevenueCat for everything subscription-related. I was checking out the RevenueCat Rest API but it doesn’t seem like I can (fully) create projects, apps and basically everything programatically through the API. Did I look into the wrong place or is there just no support for this? And maybe somebody knows if this is on the roadmap? All the best and thanks!

Experiment dashboard and Overview won't reflect the same data

I've activated an experiment that compares two different offers with different prices.On the experiment dashboard, I see allocation numbers and % difference, suggesting everything is running well.However, on the main RC dashboard ("Overview"), I don't see any customers with the new offer that I'm trying to test. Is this normal? I was expecting the new offer to show up there, but maybe it shouldn't?

Should I be worried about the error : There is an issue with your configuration. Check the underlying error for more details.

Hello, I am receiving this RC error into my error monitoring service : “There is an issue with your configuration. Check the underlying error for more details.” However, I cannot reproduce this problem, my app is live on both iOS and Android and everything seems to work fine, I have active subscriptions. Still a little number of my users (<1%) are receiving this error. I’ve read all posts about it and all of them are about configuration issues, however in my case, RC works fine for 99% of my users. I use “react-native-purchases”: “5.13.1”. This error only happens on Android. Should I be worried about this error ? Or is it harmless ? Thank you

React-Native / Expo Go: How to solve `TypeError: null is not an object (evaluating 'RNPurchases.setupPurchases')`

Expo Go doesn’t build native modules, so you may run into this error while trying to run your app with react-native-purchases in Expo Go.  In order to use RevenueCat with Expo, you will have to create Development Builds, which can be done either by using EAS, or by making builds that are compatible with Xcode and Android Studio. There are detailed instructions for doing either one in this page:https://docs.expo.dev/development/build/ Easiest way to be able to debug is to just run either of the following:npx expo run:android -dnpx expo run:ios -d We also have a blog post that goes step-by-step into how to make an app with Expo and RevenueCat using EAS: https://www.revenuecat.com/blog/in-app-puchase-expo-managed-workflow/ Let us know if you run into any issues!

Stuck on configuration error. Can't access the product.

Using the SDK for CapacitorI have a single subscription in App Store Connect that is in Ready to Submit status. The id matches that registered with RevenueCat.App Store Connect Free and Paid Apps Agreements are Active. Banking connecting is Clear. I’m using `cap run ios` to run the app on my ipad.`await Purchases.getOfferings();`gives me the error code #23 saying that there’s a problem with the configuration in App Store Connect. I’ve also tried to access the subscription directly, like this:`await Purchases.getProducts(["subscription_id"])`But that gives me this error:`Unhandled Promise Rejection: Error: Must provide productIdentifiers parameter`Any suggestions on what I am missing or could do differently? I do use Expo but when I try to initialize revenue cat SDK, I got ‘LOG {"error": [TypeError: Cannot read property 'setupPurchases' of null]}’ error.my code just like that; await Purchases.configure({ apiKey: 'x' })I’m  using andorid, in real device and emulator.

Expo Go & RevenueCat: the very basics

I’m new to React Native, Expo, and RevenueCat so this is likely very basic but can’t find an answer to this anywhere. I’m following this guide.I’m not familiar with the lingo yet but I’m pretty sure I’m using the “managed workflow” version of Expo. In terms of development and testing, the only setup I’m currently familiar with is Expo Go -- in other words, running “npm start” on my dev machine, opening Expo Go on my device and connecting, then updating/editing code. This is the only way I know how to write code for my app. Then when I’m ready for full testing on a device, I run an EAS build and download it to my device, but at this point I have absolutely no more visibility into the code, it’s a complete black box -- it’s just a standalone running app on my phone.My understanding is that the RevenueCat modules do not work with Expo Go. If I try to include them I get a “Invariant Violation: Your JavaScript code tried to access a native module that doesn't exist” error. First question is

Cross-platform get billing amount

Hello,So I have my app set up and working very nicely using revenueCat, however there is one tiny issue that I hope someone here can help with.I have a subscription management page where I am displaying some details, where ‘next billed amount’ is one of them, that is displaying the amount billed string that I can only find in the offerings object.So far I have been fine with just comparing the productId found in the offering object with the id in the active subscriptions from the customer info object. The thing is, if the user purchases that product on an android device but then switches to iPhone, then I can’t currently get the billed amount, because the offering is now returning the product Id of the iPhone product which is different to the android one. So comparing the two returns falsy and therefor an undefined amount. So I am wondering how others may have gone around this. One solution I do have in mind is naming the identifiers for android and iOS products exactly the same, but w

Offerings with multiple subscription groups

Hello, I don’t understand how could I organize offerings with multiple subscription groups. I want my user to be able to subscribe to different subscription plans and it’s possible that he could have two subscriptions at the same time.  For example: Plan 1 (subscription group):monthly subscriptionyearly subscription Plan 2 (subscription group):monthly subscriptionyearly subscription It’s possible for user to be subscribed to 2 plans at the same time.Now when I get offerings I do like this:const offerings = await Purchases.getOfferings();offerings.current.monthly.product.priceStringHere I get current offering with the monthly price. But how could I modify this code and revenuecat configuration to be able to get current offering for another plan as well? Is this possible?I tried to add another monthly product to the offering, but it allows only one per offering. I think it needs subgroups under offering, one per each subscription group so that it would be easier to experiment and change

Display Button Not Visible on Android

Title should have been: Close Button Not Visible on AndroidIn my code, I have explicitly set displayCloseButton: true when calling the presentPaywallIfNeeded function. The close button is shown successfully on iOS with the teal color. However, on Android, it is not visible at all.  I am using: “expo”: “49.0.17”,"react-native": "0.72.6","react-native-purchases": "7.21.0","react-native-purchases-ui": "7.21.0", See example:
