How to handle multiple accounts on one device with a common Play Store sign in?

 It goes something like this:1 - Sign into RC with appID12 - Purchase subscription.3 - Sign out and back in again using appID24 - RC says no subscription active for appID2 and so we present offerings.5 - Purchase fails because (presumably) Play Store thinks we already have an active sub because appID1 bought one using the common PlayStore sign in.I’d like to prohibit sub sharing across different accounts.In order for appID2 to be able to purchase a subscription, another Play Store account needs to be used.What’s the general best practice for dealing with this scenario?Many thanks.

Exit button in Paywalls

Hey RC folks,I am loving the new Paywalls beta. So simple to use, and it looks good to boot!My only feedback is that I would like to see an “X” button in there somewhere so users are 100% sure to know how to exit the paywall. Right now you have to swipe down, which is not obvious to everyone.

How should I answer App Review questions about the Kids Category?

RevenueCat is pitched as being a good solution for kid-focused apps on the App Store.In my experience, when submitting an app to the App Store Kids category, App Review seems to immediately reject the app ask the following questions about third party analytics and advertising.• Does your app include third-party analytics? If so, please provide details about what data is collected for this purpose.• Does your app include third-party advertising? If so, please provide a link to the ad network's publicly-documented practices and policies for kids apps.• Will the data be shared with any third parties? If so, for what purposes and where will this information be stored?• Is your app collecting any user or device data for purposes beyond third-party analytics or third-party advertising? If so, please provide a complete and clear explanation of all planned uses of this data. Assuming RevenueCat is the only third party framework in the app, what is the best way to describe how RevenueCat works?

Block Restores Not Working As Expected

This is the behavior I’m seeing (tested on iOS) when setting the Restore behavior to Block Restores.App store userA logs into our app as user1 user1 purhcases a monthly subscription user1 eventually cancels monthly subscription and it expires user2 logs in on the same device (i.e. still app store userA) user2 purchases monthly subscription, gets the ‘receiptAlreadyInUse’ error, HOWEVER, the purchase still went through successfully and user1’s purchase was restored.This feels like a bug that the purchase made it through even though the SDK returned an error.Also, the link to the documentation on restores is currently pointed to here which gives a 404.

iOS 15 GetPurchaserInfo() empty

Hi as some users might have already posted, since upgrading one of my device to iOS 15, GetPurchaserInfo returns null. Rebooting the phone and running the app again will work but on renewal it will once again return null. All is well on iOS 14. Still using code from demo app https://github.com/RevenueCat/purchases-flutter/blob/master/example/lib/main.dart. Any idea of a fix.. ? Related to flutter (Billing_UNAVAILABLE error at times)

When using revenue cat on flutter, I am getting the billing unavailable error at times and cannot access any subscription info about the user,  Mostly occurs when device starts offline, then later refreshed with internet connection, navigating to the page that checks subscription then gives billing unavailable error

Which Stripe events do I listen to in order to post receipts

I followed this guide to send events directly from Stripe to RevenueCat.  I also saw this link for sending our tokens to RevenueCat which must be done before the above events (I think). I send the token during “checkout.session.completed” but it doesn’t look like that event is happening. Should we be posting receipts from “invoice.payment_succeeded” ? Might be good to put something about this in your docs.

Hi,Im trying to keep my database in sync with each users current state.WebhooksFirst I tried to use web hooks data but I ran into multiple issues:The basic event from the documentation (above all other examples like initial purchase) has way more fields like a real promo code event. Im not sure what user ids to compare. original_app_user_id, app_user_id especially with use cases like “restore subscription”. The documentation calls for comparing original_app_user_id but isn't it wrong in cases of restore and to prevent to be both users entitled here? “expiration_at_ms” is not under entitlement_ids like in the REST API, is this not the entitlement expiration date? Thats because another event for the same app_user_id returns a not migrated state but just for example for the new purchase and I have to store all events right?I think there should be a way simpler web hook.RevenueCat detect a new event but instead of sending it, it checks the user state, do all the work and send the current s

multiple users receiving: StoreProblemError: Error updating purchases | ErrorCode: ERROR.

Recently we have had a number of users contact us because they’re unable to purchase a subscription: After a bit of investigation is appears that RevenueCat SDK is returning:{ message: "There was a problem with the Play Store.", readable_error_code: "StoreProblemError", readableErrorCode: "StoreProblemError", underlyingErrorMessage: "Error updating purchases.", debugMessage: ErrorCode: ERROR.:}When we look up these users in RevenueCat we see no activity.When we look up these users in Google Play Store’s Order Management they all show cancelled purchases:We are using: react-native-purchases v4.2.0. Does anyone have any insight into what could cause this error?

Can I purchase a product with more than 1 quantity?

We have a problem where after applying a 20% / 30% discount on a product we do not fall within a price tier in Apple. For example we have 1 consumable product that is priced at £79.99. We offer 20% discount code’s to our users so we came up with a workaround to create a new product in Apple with a price of £63.99. i.e. 20% off £79.99. However we have come into an issue as Apple does not offer a price tier of £63.99. The solution we came up with, was to create a a new product with the value of £8.99 and allow the user to buy 8 of these products at the same time i.e. that would add up to £63.99. But from looking at the RevenueCat `purchaseProduct` API in React Native it does not allow you to set a quantity. Do you know if there is another way of achieving this using RevenueCat or even better, a way of using a custom price for a product in iOS?

Does RevenueCat use https when communicating with the backend?In the Export Compliance Information in Apple app store connect, I must provide information about encryption, and https is listed as internal encryption, hence I need to know if RevenueCat SDK is using https.ThanksFredrik

Expo and Storekit

I didn’t understand how to test the inApp purchases on a iOS simulator using Expo. I usually run my code withnpx expo run:ios     I’ve created the subscription and certificate in XCode following the documentation: https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/apple-app-store#ios-14-only-testing-on-the-simulator Now I’m not sure how to build/run correctly the app.

Subscription started in the App Store, not showing up in in RevenueCat

Hi! We just launched our new in-app purchase, so it’s only been live for a few days. A customer just let us know that they successfully started a subscription (they confirmed with an app store recipt and screenshot of the active subscription in the app store), but the service wasn’t activated. Looking at their customer profile, there are no indications of a subscription started in the customers history.We have had other customers activating the subscription the last days, so it looks like it’s working fine.What could possibly have gone wrong here? Troubleshooting tips?

ERROR: 🍎‼️ There was a problem with the App Store - Apple TV

When trying to make a purchase in the sandbox for Apple TV I receive ERROR: 🍎‼️ There was a problem with the App Store. To get around this problem I have to log out of my sandbox account on the TV and immediately log back in. This resolves the issue for 10 minutes or so when I then have to do the same thing again. Rinse and repeat. Outside of continually logging out and back in again, what can be done to more permanently solve this issue? None of the products registered in the RevenueCat dashboard could be fetched from App Store Connect

We are thinking about migrating to Revenue Cat. Before, we tested buying a subscription with a StoreKit file and a local certificate. I deleted the Sorekit file and the certificate and set the configuration of StoreKit to None  I am testing on a simulator.Any ideas what is causing this problem?

Why are some of my subscriptions canceled due to a billing error?

Why are some of my subscriptions canceled due to a billing error? Am I doing something wrong on my end or does that mean the user’s credit card isn’t working or something? Some of the transactions are going through and others aren’t so I’m not sure why this is happening.

How to reset purchases when users switch Apple accounts

I noticed that when a user bought an IAP (no-consumable) on a macOS device, and then switched to a different Apple account, the new account still had access to pro features. I tried restarting the app and clicking the restore purchases button (which called `Purchases.shared.restoreTransactions`) but they didn’t help. I think the cause is Apple doesn’t refresh receipts for apps when a new account is signed in. I’m wondering if that is expected and what is the best practices to deal with that (ex should we just ignore those cases or there is a method to refresh receipt explicitly (and if that’s the case, should we invoke that method on every launch?)).

React Native - Purchase.restoreTransactions failed in iOS version 15

I’m using the RevenueCat SDK version 4.3.1 for React Native. It’s working well with iOS version 14 and below in Sandbox mode, but if I install the app from TestFlight into a device that runs iOS version 15 then the restoreTransactions will be failed (Note that the restoreTransactions still works well if I install the app from XCode or the ipa file). Some products return incorrect prices on iOS

Hey,I currently have 20 products live on the App Store for my app that fetch the correct prices from the App Store Connect. However, I’m currently working on a new build and on sandbox mode some of the products consistently return incorrect prices. These can be $0 or an older price I set for the same product. I’ve attached an example. I’ve double checked that at the time of purchase the correct productID, locale and currency is being requested. Has anyone run into this issue before? Switching Users in Sandbox mode

Hello, I am currently testing my Revenue Cat integration and have a problem when switching between different users. I use my own user ID, which I send to Revenue Cat after logging into my app using the .login-method. As soon as I make a purchase, however, all existing purchases are transferred to my current user ID and only the current user ID is listed in my sandbox overview. It does not matter whether a logout takes place beforehand or not. Do I have to pay attention to anything else when switching between two users?Thanks in advance.

Reporting on offerings

Hi i am looking for some help with a few questions. The first is that we will be using offerings to manage discount codes across iOS and Android and then tracking the use of those codes throughout the user lifecycle. I have two main questionsAre we able to export the data broken down by offering (I have had a look at the reports and can see that I can segment by offering but as we don’t have any data in there yet i cant see if that data would then be segmented when exported to CSV??  What happens if I remove an offering? I would like to be able to remove an offering so that it doesn’t get returned in the future to the app (and therefore isn’t a valid code) but then also still be able to report on users that are a part of that offering? is this possible? Regards Jon

[Flutter/Android] Issues with Downgrading a plan

We have an app that’s build in Flutter, and it works with both Play Store as well as Apple Store. On both platforms we have set up products (no offerings, or entitlements), as the approach is that the users can buy a product (subscription) and change it at any time.The Apple Store subscriptions works well (in sandbox mode) and I am able to buy the lowest subscription, then upgrade to higher, and finally downgrade again, without waiting for a subscription to expire.On Play Store, however, this doesn’t work. I start with the lowest subscription, and then I can upgrade, but if I tried to do another upgrade/downgrade, I get Play Store popup with the following message:Error retrieving information from the server. IOS: checkTrialOrIntroductoryPriceEligibility returns "Unknow Status"

Hi. I created a new iOS project on AppStore Connect 2-3 weeks ago.I was almost finished with my app, but I realized a bug. I’m using the Flutter platform to develop my new app.The checkTrialOrIntroductoryPriceEligibility method returns introEligibilityStatusUnknown when I added an Introductory offer to my subscription.(If I have not added an Introductory Offer to my subscription, in this case the checkTrialOrIntroductoryPriceEligibility returns introEligibilityStatusNoIntroOfferExists. So it is working correctly in this case.)The checkTrialOrIntroductoryPriceEligibility method and code has worked in my previous projects.Has anything changed on the iOS side? Should subscriptions need to be linked to stores ids or to emails?

HiI have set the RC id linked to my users accounts’ unique identifiers and I thought that was ok. So the RC accounts are linked to my app accounts (a user, theoretically could have one account with subscription and another without it, imagine like a user having a professional Dropbox subscriptions and a personal one accessed via the same device)But after an Apple rejection when they asked me to make possible that users conserve their subscriptions even if they upgrade phone, then I’m questioning myself if this is the right approach. It seems that, as subscriptions can only be cancelled via the stores menu, then all the accounts accessed via the same device would act the same.Is this the “standard” way to make it work? Subscriptions linked to Stores accounts and not to my-app accounts?I don’t have a preference, 99.9% of the cases my users will have just one account. I just want to make my app compliant and to make it work in the standard way.

Delayed payments Support

I have similar question like this one herehttps://github.com/RevenueCat/purchases-android/issues/82When using slow test card on Android in-app purchases all I get is purchase error with message='The payment is pending.'. Is there a way to get notified when transaction has been completed? If not, what options do we have, we can iterate through purchaserInfo.nonSubscriptionTransactions to get all in-app purchase?
