Cancel subscriptions from within react native app?

Hey guys. Apparently there has been an update to the Google Play Developer Program Policy where customers “must be able to easily cancel their subscription from within the app.”I was wondering what the best approach for this was. I’m under the impression that cancelling a subscription in-app isn't possible yet? If I’m wrong could someone point me in the right direction?I did come across this thread that says how redirect the user manage their subscription? Does any one know if this method would suffice?

Payment screen keep showing in an endless loop

Hello,I am trying to add Revenue cat to my IOS flutter app using this package: https://pub.dev/packages/purchases_flutterAfter i make a purchase with sandbox and the screens show done(in picture 2), I got stuck in the payment screen, even i re-enter my credentials and pay again the app keeps showing me tha payment screen over and over (i got stuck in this function: Purchases.purchaseStoreProduct it does not return any CustomerInfo even though I paid and the ios screen shows done.).I checked snadbox in revenue cat dashboard but all of my payment did not get persisted.Can someone help me, and thanks in advace.Here is my code(Picture 1):

AppStore Rejection - Subscribe button unresponsive

So we’ve been dealing with this issue being sent to us by the reviewer. We continue to find that your in-app purchase products exhibited one or more bugs when reviewed on iPad running iOS 15.7 on Wi-Fi. Specifically, the Subscribe button was unresponsive when tapped and we were unable to verify the purchasing process for your in app purchase items. Next Steps When validating receipts on your server, your server needs to be able to handle a production-signed app getting its receipts from Apple’s test environment. The recommended approach is for your production server to always validate receipts against the production App Store first. If validation fails with the error code "Sandbox receipt used in production," you should validate against the test environment instead. This is our first time releasing to app store. Should we ask the reviewer his/her appleID and add it as one of Sandbox testers?We appreciate all of your feedbacks.

Getting the renew date and billing period from a subscription

Stripe Test Mode best practices?

It’s unclear what the best practice is for managing test mode (especially on Stripe) wrt Rev Cat. In Stripe you have to create a different set of Products (with different IDs) for live vs test mode. Does this mean that I should maintain a separate “test” or “dev” project in Revenue Cat?I’m wondering if there’s another approach I’ve not yet thought of that may be simpler.

Empty Product Offerings w/ App Store Payment Agreement Renewal

Had some questions regarding iOS-specific empty product offerings:Is there anything specific we need to do within RevenueCat to let RevenueCat know that there is a newly renewed Paid Apps Agreement for App Store? How long does it take for RevenueCat to be able to register a newly renewed Paid Apps Agreement? We renewed the agreement in App Store Connect about an hour ago but we are still seeing errors. We haven’t created any new product offerings. Unable to re purchase subscription in sandbox environment of IOS.

I am testing purchases in sandbox. I have purchased a subscription before, and it has expired.When I go in to purchase again, `Purchases.purchasePackage` prints purchase successful immediately  and returns nothing and stalls.

I didn’t understand how to test the inApp purchases on a iOS simulator using Expo. I usually run my code withnpx expo run:ios     I’ve created the subscription and certificate in XCode following the documentation: https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/apple-app-store#ios-14-only-testing-on-the-simulator Now I’m not sure how to build/run correctly the app.

Offering with multiple packages in Android

We have set up subscriptions in RevenueCat as outlined in Configuring Products. Namely we have multiple, separate, independent, subscriptions, each with two different prices (one for monthly subscription, one for annual subscription). So I have one RevenueCat “offering” for each subscription and each subscription has two “packages” (one for monthly and another for annual). Obviously, I have added the Apple App Store products, and added them to the respective offering’s packages (and to the entitlements). That Apple product is live and in the store and that’s great.I am now trying to create the Google Play Store subscriptions/products, to mirror those subscriptions that are live in the Apple App Store and add them to my RevenueCat products/offerings/entitlements. "transferred_to" app id is anonymous in Transfer webhook event

Transfer event is triggered on the webhook on restoring purchase. But sometimes, in the “transferred_to” field, only the revenue cat initiated anonymous id is sent and the user id initiated by my app is missing. I have checked that the user id is being initiated before restore purchases is called to revenue cat sdk. Without the user id that the app has assigned, there is no way to transfer the purchase on my backend and the webhook fails to give the desired result.  Example Event id - “997383F7-913F-4C2F-9987-91E78A514C05” in sandbox environment.  Also, is there a way to hit call revenue cat API from the app to get the Transfer event details, as the webhook may be delayed and the backend needs to change the access level immediately.

Can the anonymous RevenueCat ID be used to identify users across multiple app versions and devices?

I have implemented consumable in-app purchases with revenue cat and wanted to use the anonymous ID (“$RCAnonymousID:…) to keep track of the purchases a user has made. This seems to work fine until a user reinstalls the app or I upload a new version of the app. I call the restore function to get previous purchases but if I check the ID with the originalRevenueCatID method I get a different ID if I reinstall the appI tested this with TestFlight (iOs) and reinstalled the same version of the app after I purchased something but the purchase is gone and also the ID is something else. Is this because of TestFlight maybe and it should work if I publish the app? Or is this generally not possible?I basically wanted to not force the user to create an account and still be able to keep track of in-app purchases across multiple versions of the same app and of course re installationsHope this is the right place to ask. Would appreciate any kind of advice!

iOS Free trial + offer code?

hey folks,we’re facing a bit of a conundrum:On iOS, we offer a 7 day free trial as an introductory offer. However, for some users that come from channel partners we’ve created (iOS 14) offer codes that give users either a 2 week or 1 month free trial. For these offer codes, we’ve set "No, this code will replace the introductory offer”.A few times now, a user who was supposed to use the offer code, instead redeemed the introductory offer 7 day free trial. After they do this, we give them the offer code and when they redeem it, Apple adds the introductory offer 7 day free trial to the 1 month free trial and so they get ~37 day free trial.Is there any way for me to have it change from the 7 day trial to the 1 month free trial instead, instead of going to the 1 week + 1 month?Also, users report that after they redeem the offer code (after initially redeeming the introductory 7 day trial offer), in their Apple ID subscription settings, they see “plan automatically renews at $X.XX/month star

Conditionally apply Introductory Offers?

I am looking into how to support discounted subscriptions in our app similar to how we provide them in our web based product. We have a few different scenarios that I am looking to support, specifically:Giving an introductory offer of 20% off for 3 months based on signup criteria Giving an introductory offer of 20% off for 6 months based on different signup criteria Giving a free month of a subscriptionI am looking at https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/ios-subscription-offers to try to figure out the best option for me. It looks like Introductory Offers is what we want for the first two bullet points since we can automatically apply it in-app at initial purchase time without the customer needing to enter an offer code. However, the notes beside intro offers says “SDK applies offer to purchases automatically”, does that mean I can’t control which of the two intro prices I offer? Unable to start a trial of one product

Hello, My app has 3 products, Monthly, Annual, and Lifetime packages in 1 offering. On launch I call getOfferings, take the current offering, and store the packages. My paywall is dynamically generated based on these packages. Hey, i have configured android base plan with just 1 offer to be trial 7 days but purchase package does not have introductoryPrice information on app store purchases everything works. I have backward compatible base plan but looks like trial is not, why ? I created it last week, is it because of that? In this case how to fix it ? Thanks

multiple users receiving: StoreProblemError: Error updating purchases | ErrorCode: ERROR.

Recently we have had a number of users contact us because they’re unable to purchase a subscription: After a bit of investigation is appears that RevenueCat SDK is returning:{ message: "There was a problem with the Play Store.", readable_error_code: "StoreProblemError", readableErrorCode: "StoreProblemError", underlyingErrorMessage: "Error updating purchases.", debugMessage: ErrorCode: ERROR.:}When we look up these users in RevenueCat we see no activity.When we look up these users in Google Play Store’s Order Management they all show cancelled purchases:We are using: react-native-purchases v4.2.0. Does anyone have any insight into what could cause this error?

[Flutter & Android] after refund, still get active entitlement

Hi,I am developing an app for Android using Flutter and I am trying your awesome service!!All is working fine by now, but the refund operation. I explaining what I did till now:I have purchased successfully a non-cosumable (life time) with my testing account. This is working fine also when restarting the app without internet active also after hours, meaning the cache does the job.Then I refunded the account in Google Play console and waited till it was successfuly refunded.Starting the app the entitlement is still active. We are thinking about migrating to Revenue Cat. Before, we tested buying a subscription with a StoreKit file and a local certificate. I deleted the Sorekit file and the certificate and set the configuration of StoreKit to None  I am testing on a simulator.Any ideas what is causing this problem?

UpgradeInfo not working on Android with Flutter

I’m testing in Android emulator with Play Store access using a testing account so no actual money is being charged. I am able to purchase products and packages, but not able to test changing packages using the UpgradeInfo docs. What could the issue be with Play Store or is there some other configuration I need to make somewhere? When I select the package to change to I see the following, which all looks correct in my logs. Stripe subscription events

The docs say the following:Cancellations in Stripe are automatically detected by RevenueCat the same way as subscriptions from the app stores. This means there may be up to a two-hour delay between when the subscription is cancelled in Stripe and when the cancellation is reflected in the RevenueCat backend.I cancelled a subscription with Stripe over two hours ago, and the cancellation hasn’t appeared in RevenueCat. Is this information still accurate? Is there anything I need to do to make this work aside from the connection with Stripe? Do I need to forward webhooks from Stripe to RevenueCat or something aside from the initial receipt creation? Thanks!

Android error Item Unavailable

HI there! I’m hoping you will able to help. Here is the error Item Unavailable, id the correct, in the google account all is also ok. It’s closed testing, and also testers, devices and so on is ok. The app got prices from the cat, but still it doesn’t work. We also can’t make a test purchase via cat and didn’t seen any tries in the sandbox dashboard.  Maybe someone know what to do nextThanks in advance

Web hooks & REST API

Hi,Im trying to keep my database in sync with each users current state.WebhooksFirst I tried to use web hooks data but I ran into multiple issues:The basic event from the documentation (above all other examples like initial purchase) has way more fields like a real promo code event. Im not sure what user ids to compare. original_app_user_id, app_user_id especially with use cases like “restore subscription”. The documentation calls for comparing original_app_user_id but isn't it wrong in cases of restore and to prevent to be both users entitled here? “expiration_at_ms” is not under entitlement_ids like in the REST API, is this not the entitlement expiration date? Thats because another event for the same app_user_id returns a not migrated state but just for example for the new purchase and I have to store all events right?I think there should be a way simpler web hook.RevenueCat detect a new event but instead of sending it, it checks the user state, do all the work and send the current s
