Eligibility of introductory offers is not shown correctly in iOS sandbox account

The following code published at https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/subscription-guidance/subscription-offers#checking-eligibility is unable to detect the trial offer eligibility correctly in the sandbox environment. Is there any solution to this? How do I supress products (packages) already purchased when displaying an offering?

Hi all,I hope I am not asking a question that has already been answered, if so I couldn’t find the answer. My app has multiple one off in-app purchases. I would like to display these for purchase. If I add them all to an offering is there some way to exclude products (packages) that have already been purchased from the paywall when displaying the offering? Thanks L

Currency in IOS seems incorrect

I’m using react native to fetch the packages and looking at the logs: const offerings = await Purchases.getOfferings(); const packages = offerings.all["default"].availablePackages; console.log("Paywall Currency", packages[0].product.currency_code)Looking at the logs, the products inside the package has the price in USD. But the phone I am running the code on is set to Australia for the region of the account. I went to Settings > Account name > Media & Purchases > Country Region > Set to AustraliaAm I doing something wrong here?

Checking for products eligibility may trigger AppStore sign-in

Hi,We’re going to add introuctory offers to some products in our iOS app. And we want to make sure we display the right choise for each user depending on their receipts. So it looks like we could achieve this by using  checkTrialOrIntroductoryPriceEligibility. However, because it could result into refreshing user’s receipt, the AppStore sign-in dialog may appear. As I see from the current logic in the SDK it happens only when the receipt is missing in the app bundle. Which shouldn’t be the case for AppStore build. Though it’s a usual case for development and sandbox builds. Particularly the dialog appears if I try to call this method when there’s no sandbox user logged into device AppStore.Thus we have a concern about prompting AppStore sign-in dialog unexpectedly in the process of Apple review causing a rejection. Mainly this post is the source of my concerns. And also this recommendation from Apple: The application can advise the user that the appStoreReceipt appears to be outdated a

Can the same user (same app user id) receive entitlements on multiple devices?

Hi there! I have a question about RevenueCat logIn (and Blocking Transfers) as introduced in: Suppose this is how my iOS/Node app is designed to work:I have a user database and each user has a unique record and id. We require users to sign up with email and password before they’re shown the purchase flow. We use their unique database record id as the RevenueCat appUserID when purchasing a package. Our RevenueCat app is set up to Block Transfers.If I understand this correctly, this means that as long as a user logs in with the right appUserID, they should have the appropriate entitlement everywhere. That includes different devices on iOS, Android, and web that log in with the right appUserID and use the RevenueCat offerings API. Additionally, if the an entitled user signs out, and someone else logs in from the same device (different appUserID), RevenueCat will pull in THEIR entitlement, which may or may not exist, and would trigger their own Purchase flow if needed. Android error Item Unavailable

HI there! I’m hoping you will able to help. Here is the error Item Unavailable, id the correct, in the google account all is also ok. It’s closed testing, and also testers, devices and so on is ok. The app got prices from the cat, but still it doesn’t work. We also can’t make a test purchase via cat and didn’t seen any tries in the sandbox dashboard.  Maybe someone know what to do nextThanks in advance

Entitlement is active after a refund

Hey,I can see in my app (iOS) that users who become premium users (subscribers) and then claim for a refund, they still considered to have isActive true in their entitlement. To check that - When I start the app (in the appDelegate), I use the PurchasesDelegate to check what the current status of the user when he enters the app:if purchaserInfo.entitlements[Constants.entitlementID]?.isActive == true { // USER IS PREMIUM} else { // USER IS NOT PREMIUM }Hence, I assume that if a user asked for a refund he will no longer be entitled to be active, but I can see that users are still getting isActive true. What am I doing wrong? Is anyone else encountered that?Or, is there other if statement that I can do which is more accurate? Thanks!

Problem with testflight purchase

I have a problem with my app. As long as I installed the app to my iPhone with Xcode, everything was working (Apart from the fact that having configured the products from the Xcode file and not from the App Store, in the end the purchase failed). Now that I uploaded the app to testflight, when purchasing a product I can’t even see the iOS purchase popup. Could It be the fact that there is no longer the Xcode purchases configuration file and that the one on the App Store hasn’t been approved yet? I can I fix that?

Testing Agreement Interruption does not refresh purchaseinfo

Hi there! I’m using an App Store sandbox user, auto-renewable subscriptions, and have enabled the “Interrupt Purchases for This Tester” option in App Store Connect.When forcing the interruption, the `purchasePackage:` method fails with the correct error description.I’ve set my delegate to call the method `didReceiveUpdatedPurchaserInfo:`. After the user agrees to the new terms, the App Store window closes and confirms the purchase but the delegate method `didReceiveUpdatedPurchaserInfo:` isn’t called. If I try to purchase the subscription again, I’m told I already own it.I would expect the `didReceiveUpdatedPurchaserInfo:`delegate method to be called in this case. I’ve set up Apple Server-to-Server Notifications via the link provided by RevenueCat with no luck. Anyone know what might be going on?

How to force an alias between two user IDs?

 I’m looking at this chart, but why is there no option to forced an alias create in the Non-Anonymous App User ID. We’re migrating all our user IDs to a new system (new login, new backend), so we will have to force a restore purchase for all of them for them otherwise their subscription isn’t recognized.  The problem is we have a few thousand stripe users, so a restore purchase doesn’t work for them. This will create a support nightmare for us when suddenly thousands of users can’t access their subscription. Why can’t I force create an alias for them to their new user IDs?  Also - under what scenario does the user go from Non-Anonymous to Anonymous without calling logOut() ? Because in our upgrade flow: old app version passed userID to the SDK on int, in new version of app, we will still pass that old userID and then call logIn() once they have signed up with new backend. Can I still manually call the `createAlias` method even though it is deprecated?

Subscription p8 key file

We’ve got our iOS app working in testflight with subscriptions, and we have not uploaded a “Subscription p8 key file.”  (We have added the App-Specific Shared Secret.) We are able to retrieve the current offer and purchase it.   So, when is the Subscription p8 key file needed?  For what functionality?p.s. I’ve seen the blog at https://www.revenuecat.com/blog/signing-ios-subscription-offers, but it just says to upload it.   thanks

Setting up a Consumable in-app Purchase Architecture

I am new to RevenueCat and I am looking for advice on how to architect my consumable in-app purchases with ReveneCat. With the current app I am developing for macOS, I use the AWS Polly service and each usage of Polly costs money (pay as you go). I am using consumable in-app purchases to control my cost structures from users so that I will always make a profit no matter the overall customer usage. One requirement is fiscal security where the user can't spoof/hack the consumable resources on device, so I need to store their current resource count in the cloud. I read the following in the ReveneCat help pages.Non-Subscription Purchases:It's important to note that at the moment, logic for keeping track of consumable redemptions must be handled outside of RevenueCat. Facebook Analytics - is Facebook SDK required?

I’m continuing the discussion from spectrum here:@ryan your docs don’t make any distinction between iOS and Android when it comes to whether the Facebook SDK should be installed, so I assumed it had to be installed on both platforms. If not, that would be a great thing, as the SDK is huge.

I’m trying out RevenueCat on my Ionic/Vue app. I see there are installation docs for Angular and React but not for Vue. Has anyone went through the install/configure process for Ionic and Vue? Or are there additional docs or blogs out there that could assist? Thanks.

Re-enable Legacy Restore Behaviour

I recently started using RevenueCat SDK in an existing iOS app. I noticed that some users cannot restore purchases on a new device, and even after making a new purchase on the new device, the entitlement for Pro features was enabled only on one device at a time. That is completely wrong behaviour! As I figured it by now, it is causes by RevenueCat’s default setting, which I was not aware of, and which I cannot change myself. Where do I ask for a fix from RevenueCat?

What does the unsubscribe_detected_at field in the S3 exports represent?

Can you please explain how the unsubscribe_detected_at field is populated?I have some users who have opted out of auto renewal, but their unsubscribe_detected_at field is null. And some users who don’t have it as null.The only difference I see is that users in the latter group re-subscribed after opting out.

Hi, I’m new to RevenueCat and I’m in the process of refactoring a piece of code using the ‘allowSharingAppStoreAccount’ function. The documentation says:allowSharingAppStoreAccountDEPRECATEDConfigure behavior through the RevenueCat dashboard instead. I’ve looked everywhere in the dashboard, but can’t find any setting that would seem to relate to this?Also, I’m unsure exactly what this function does: is it for instance in case someone creates several accounts in the app with, say, different email addresses, but has a single App Store account? Thanks to anyone who takes the time to help!

Custom customer list is empty?

Hi, I have some users with email addresses and also some with keywords.When I create a custom customer list with the logic ‘Email is not null’ or ‘Keyword is not null’ the filter does not pick up all instances of keywords and returns nil for emails. Any tips or workarounds for this?Thanks so much

Experiment test group in Amplitude?

When running an experiment https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/experiments I can go into a user page and under “Current offering” see in what test group this user is. Could this data be shared to amplitude as well? So that I in amplitude can know what test group a user is in?

When people makes purchase we get the IP address as well separately, this allow us to do business analysis . What we found that in more than 40% case the location revenue cat showing is wrong. Can you please update your GEOIP database? Maxmind is the best provider in the world

Using "Group ID" as App User ID in RevenueCat

Hi. There are groups in my app and the groups have a couple of members. If one of them pays for subscription, I change the group status and all the members in group can access premium contents. Can I initialize the ‘group id’ instead of user id (firebase auth uid) ? Is it a good practice? Do I have to use aliases?My code: await Purchases.setup(_api_key, appUserId: group.id);

purchaserInfo when no connectivity

How does the SDK work when there is no cell or wifi?  Which methods will work on device-only, and which ones need connectivity to complete?  Will there be a noticeable delay to the call?   (Is there a doc describing this?)The case is where you want to test for a valid iOS subscription/entitlement, but there is no network available.  Does it work?
