Inquiry on Improving Trial Conversion Rate and Gathering User Feedback

I want to discuss strategies for enhancing the trial conversion rate of my Android app.Recently, I've noticed a trend in our dashboard where a significant number of users are opting to cancel their trials. This observation has led me to consider the importance of understanding the reasons behind these cancellations.To gain better insights, I am interested in exploring methods to solicit feedback from users at the point of trial cancellation. Could someone advise if there is a mechanism within Revenue Cat’s SDK that triggers a callback when a user cancels their trial? If such a feature exists, it would be beneficial to implement a dialog box or a feedback form that prompts the user to share their reasons for cancellation.Understanding the factors contributing to trial cancellations is crucial for us to address any underlying issues and improve the user experience. Your guidance on how to effectively implement this feedback collection process would be greatly appreciated.

Credentials need attention for Android

Hello, I have been trying to connect RevenueCat to my application for almost 2 weeks. It works fine on the iOS version, but for some reason it doesn’t work on the android version.I am trying to implement a subscription type of scheme, without having any other “in-app products”.The issue I am facing is attached in the image below.  What I tried to do to solve the issue: I have recreated the JSON credentials twice and tried to submit them again.I have checked that the email has the right access rights.I have published a closed testing version (heard that might help but it didn’t). Thanks a lot!

Can I turn off auto-renew for a customer?

tl;dr: Is there any way for me to turn off the auto-renewing, so the subscription ends after a month? Hello,I have a pretty small app, so I’m still pretty new to RevenueCat.I get slack messages when certain things happen in my app such as new accounts created, subscriptions or trial starts, accounts deleted, etc. I got a notification that user xyz created an account. Great. Then they started a monthly subscription. Even better! Then I got a notification that they deleted their account. I was going to get their email from firebase to let them know they started an auto-renewing subscription, but since they deleted their account I don’t have any way of contacting them. I don’t want this person to waste a few dollars a month on an app that they don’t even have an account for anymore. Is there any way for me to turn off the auto-renewing, so the subscription ends after a month? I am also afraid of this user realizing this after a few months and leaving my app a poor review.ThanksBrad

Adopting the new StoreKit 2 APIs

In the Launch Party, one of the presenters was discussing adopting the latest RevenueCat StoreKit 2 APIs. If I remember correctly, a modifier to the Purchases configuration was used. However, I can’t find that in documentation, and the Launch Party video does not seem to be available. Can someone point me in the right direction?

App User ID Migration Sanity Check

I’m migrating an iOS app with a legacy user ID system. Currently, the user IDs are stored locally on-device (in the keychain), and I will be introducing a way to create a real account that can be used across devices (it will be Firebase Auth). I think I have a migration path designed, but want to check I’m not misunderstanding anything. Here’s how it would work:User launches new build of the app containing the new accounts implementation. If they are an existing user with a legacy device-local ID, I log them in to RevenueCat with that ID for continuity until a future point where they decide to create an account. If they are a new user as of the introduction of the new accounts implementation, I log them into RevenueCat as anonymous. They can subscribe and do whatever they want while in the anonymous state. When a user comes to create an account, I create it using Firebase Auth, immediately log them into RevenueCat using the new user ID, and then call `syncPurchases`.My assumption on th

User ID and restoring purchases from Anonymous ID

Hello! I am architecting the backend for a mobile application and despite reading through a lot of documentation posts, I feel I’m going in circles trying to grasp some subtle points and would love to get some answers before committing a lot of development. So I understand the basics of user IDs and anonymous user ids. Our app will ONLY allow users to login (and get an explicit User ID recorded in our database) AFTER a purchase.No problem: users get an anonymous ID, they sign in and we assign them a new, unique App User ID, which we record, and use login() to associate with their RC account. The question happens when the same user logs into a fresh device (or reinstalls). They get a new anonymous ID upon starting up, but then what happens when they “Restore purchases”?My hope is that we would be able to get access to the previously assigned App User ID. Paywall localization error

I’m trying to create a Paywall from the RevenueCat dashboard for an existing offering. For the Localization field, I keep getting the following error: Paywall content is required for at least one language.  When I select other languages, for example, Japanese, I get the following error: Japanese has an error. Is anyone experiencing the same issue? I cannot create a paywall because of this error.

[Android] purchases not recognized after app is closed

I'm relative new to revenue, and I moved from Google play because I have some issues with people not get the purchases recognized, that's why I decided to go with revenuecat, however I have some issues now, some users seems that they don't have "premium" or the purchases are not recognized, then if they go to restore purchase, everything works, and seems that this is only for some users, apparently in some headunit, tablets and made Xiaomi/Chinese brand, probably the play store is doing something weird but they can restore the purchases without a problem, so I'm wondering if there is something that revenuecat can do, or any suggestion?I initialize RC in the main application, and it doesn't seems like a sdk setup issue since this only happens to some users, what else I can try? Thanks a lot

Changing Android package name doesn't work

Recently I uploaded a new android app under different package name, from com.name.app to com.name. I have uploaded the new bundle to Play Store and changing it on RevenueCat dashboard, however when fetching the offerings using RevenueCat SDK, the old package can still get the offerings whereas the new package doesn’t. Am I missing a step here?

Encountered some difficulties when adding the Amazon application.I filled in the <Amazon Store Shared Secret:> with the secret,Configured SKU in Offerings, Products, and EntitlementsDid not receive verification from AmazonI can run normally in the App Tester sandbox testing.The running process encounters a misalignment/error:“Could not find ProductDetails for com.xxxx.xxxx”“There's a problem with your configuration. React Native different paywalls & metadata

Hello, I have produced different PayWall screens with multiple offers in RevenueCat's panel for use on the React Native side. But how do I show these different screens to users as an A/B testing without changing the default settings on the panel? Additionally, I could not change the language of the texts on our payment screen via metadata. I could not find these parts in the documentation for React Native. Could you help me please for these issues?

Unity SDK - Problem with android

Hi,Is there any way to Instant entitlement revoke a user that opted out of FREE TRIAL auto renewal, instead of letting him finish all the free trial period ?Seems like most of users (especially on android), do it & when you use paid services in the backend, it’s really not a fun thing to deal with 😅 !!

V1 API not returning sandbox data

Feature request: Paywall, product, experiment support for web - React Native

Hi, we are really loving the new paywall function, would love if it was possible to use the same code for web, Android and iOS (which many of us with Expo projects have) in the react native sdk (react-native-purchases). Right now we have a custom paywall with a lot of potential unnecessary code (because we need to handle Stripe products on webapp outside react-native-purchases). Stripe kinda feel like a second class citizen with RevenueCat, and we think that is a shame since onboarding on web has been really good for us (avoids the Google/Apple tax and you can create a user very quickly directly from the landing page before downloading the app).All in all RevenueCat has been a blessing and not having to deal with App Store Server Notifications and Pub/Sub on Google Play has really cut our costs and increased development speed. So would just like to say we love what you are doing!

How To Redeem Promo Codes for Consumable Products

I have created promo codes within the App Store per Apple’s instructions. I am able to give the user a code and they’re able to redeem the code for a consumable IAP. However, the consumable product never gets called in my app. How can I check that the user has used a promo code to credit their account with the reward?

SwiftUI - isActive is false after auto renewal of subscriptions (Sandbox), i have multiple subscriptions. I get invalid subscription status when checking them.

I have two monthly subscriptions, everything set up well. Purchasing work well. issue is  I am trying to subscribe to two cards using sandbox account, then everything works well but checking the subscription status becomes false for card 1 and true for card 2. Please see the codeTracking the status of card 1 and card 2 in my HomeView(earlier) then passing it to my Premium_View. The isSub_b_card1 and isSub_b_card2 are Bendable vars.HomeView: PremiumCard_ListView PremiumCard_ListView - If the No subscriptions. Google Play - ProductNotAvailableForPurchaseError

If you are receiving ProductNotAvailableForPurchaseError even after the subscriptions are active in Google Play and RevenueCat, try to create new subscriptions which are in format [subsription]:[base-plan], import these products to RevenueCat and update the product codes in your app.This solved my issue after migration to the new RevenueCat SDK.
