What happens if I use a different android proration mode?

I have read in the docs that Reveuecat currently only supports IMMEDIATE_WITH_TIME_PRORATION for android upgrades/downgrades. However I wanted to clarify exactly what this means. If I were to use a different proration mode is it only the revenue/pricing that is reported incorrectly or would the expiry/renewal dates for the subscription/entitlement also be wrong?For background we use the revenuecat event webhooks to issue users with our own premium entitlement and so we would need an accurate expiry/renewal date for the subscription to be passed in the webhook.Many thanks in advance,Lydia

Redeeming ios promotion offer on the same subscription product

Hi there, is it possible to purchase a promotional offer on the product that a user is already subscribed to using purchaseDiscountedPackage, or does the promotional offer have to be on a different product?I tried purchasing a promotional offer on the same product in production and although it appeared to go through without any errors, my subscription did not change and I didn’t see any webhooks in RC or any email confirmation from apple. For a different product it did work as expected.Just checking in case I am missing something.Thanks,Lydia

MacOS App can not restore transation with error Unexpected backend error when posting receipt

Hi, I have a problem with restore transition on my MacOS simulator. A fave steeps to reproduce this issue:Buy a subscription on my iOS app in simulator Open my app’s MacOS version with the same iCloud account (debug mode) Try to restore transaction in my MacOS app and receive an error (Unexpected backend error when posting receipt)I am able to buy a subscription in my MacOS app, but can not restore it as well. Any suggestions?I use SDK release/4.0.0-rc.1

Cannot fetch offerings when using Amazon SDK

I'm not seeing my offerings show up when I try to fetch offerings through the RC Amazon SDK.The SDK is configured using AmazonConfiguration.Builder I've enabled the products in the Amazon Developer Console I've setup the Amazon Live App Testing I've added products to RevenueCat and add it to my Offering and Entitlement I've followed everything on this postEvery time I open the paywall I get: DEBUG: ℹ️ No cached Offerings, fetching from network. No errors, but no Offerings showing up either when querrying through Purchases.getSharedInstance().getOfferingsApp works fine in regular Google Play mode.Would it be possible to get step-by-step instructions on how to actually setup the Amazon SDK?

`checkTrialOrIntroductoryPriceEligibility` shows Apple ID sign-in alert ONLY in TestFlight

Hello, I hope all is well. I’ve implemented checkTrialOrIntroductoryPriceEligibility in my iOS app to be called whenever the annual product is successfuly retreived and we’re about to show the user the prices. When testing with Xcode, everything runs smoothly, but in TestFlight a sign-in to your Apple ID prompt will appear everytime it’s called. This prompt is not shown when you download the same build from the App Store, only when it’s downloaded from TestFlight. This has been happening since I’ve added the code in mid-December, but now I would like to add test users to TestFlight and do not want to show this prompt everytime. I’ve seen that there’s been other posts about this, with only one of them having a workaround.  I was wondering/hoping if there has been any new developments on this or anything else that we should try? Using CocoaPods and Purchases 3.13.2. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

App Store upload fails

Hey everyone! We just switched from Unity’s native IAP to RevenueCat for all kind of IAP/subscription operations. We completely deleted Unity IAP from the project and installed RevenueCat as stated in the document. Although everything looks perfectly fine, we get this error while trying to upload the archived bundle to App Store Connect: ERROR ITMS-90206: "Invalid Bundle. The bundle at 'APPNAME.app/Frameworks/UnityFramework.framework' contains disallowed file 'Frameworks'."This issue has started to occur right after the Revenue Cat integration.  Additional Info:Unity 2020.3.25f1 xCode 12.5.1 Cocoapods 1.11.2 (latest) EDM4U 1.2.169 (latest)Thanks in advance!

Stripe => Revcat => Appsflyer integration

We connected stripe to revcat. This allows us to let users subscribe on our own website, and automatically unlock access to the same subscription. We send all our paywall events (Initial Purchase Event, Trial started Event, Trial Converted Event, etc) to Appsflyer; however we would like confirmation that the same paywall events coming from stripe are also making their way to Appsflyer. Can you confirm that it is being taken care of in your implementaion?Also, what attributes can we use to distinguish paywall events that are strictly from the mobile app (revenue cat) versus the ones that are go through stripe? --

Node Express server Get Customer request, fails if initiated from mobile

We have a Node server that uses axios to communicate with revenuecat’s REST api. We are hitting the ‘Get or Create Subscriber’ endpoint, using our private key, and no X-Platform header from within our server. For exampleOur Express Server has an endpoint ‘/billing’When a user hit this endpoint, our server hits revenuecat’s https://api.revenuecat.com/v1/subscribers/app_user_id endpoint to get the user’s info and returns it. Everything works great when /billing endpoint is hit from Postman. When /billing is hit from mobile, we get a 429 too many requests error. We can log the request right before axios sends it with axios interceptors, and the requests from postman and mobile are the exact same. There is only one request being created, so the 429 error makes no sense. Everything about the request is exactly the same as our server is the one performing the request, it is just initiated through our REST endpoint from mobile instead of Postman, which axios and revenue cat should have no ide

Why might Offerings on Device be empty even though REST API returns results?

Appstore sandbox testing subscription expires before renewal

I have created monthly and yearly subscriptions with the same level on appstore. In the app I first subscribe for monthly subscription and then I change the subscription from monthly to yearly in the app using Revenuecat react native library. After monthly subscription expires it changes to yearly correctly. When yearly is activated I change the plan again to monthly. Instead of changing the subscription back to monthly after yearly subscription ends in an hour it simply expires and the user is left without a subscription plan. Is it a limitation on Sandbox or an error? If I first subscribe to yearly and then change to monthly then after an hour it changes to monthly correctly. Highly appreciate if someone can provide any guidance on this issue.

Do refunds get sent to AppsFlyer?

Hi,  We’re setting up the RevenueCat > AppsFlyer integration. This allows RevenueCat to send subscription-related events to AppsFlyer, so we can tell which advertising campaigns are performing the best. Most importantly, RC will send proceeds data to AF, so we can tell how much money is coming from each campaign.  Here’s my question: What happens if a user gets refunded on each of our platforms (Apple, Google, Stripe). Does RC pick up on the refund? Does RC send the refund to AF, so AF’s proceeds reporting is accurate?  Thanks,  Toby

RevenueCat SDK appears to consume all IAP - how to make non-consumables?

Hi - I’m new to RevenueCat, and currently looking at use it to replace a direct BillingClient implementation for an Android app. For the app in question we offer two in-app-purchases - both are lifetime (i.e. non-consumable).From what I can see after integrating the SDK, it appears to be attempting to consume the purchase. Indeed looking at the SDK code on GitHub, it appears to attempt to consume any INAPP product’s, and only acknowledges SUBS.So - am I doing/understanding something wrong here? Can I support non-consumable INAPP purchases on Android using RevenueCat?

Subscription started in the App Store, not showing up in in RevenueCat

Hi! We just launched our new in-app purchase, so it’s only been live for a few days. A customer just let us know that they successfully started a subscription (they confirmed with an app store recipt and screenshot of the active subscription in the app store), but the service wasn’t activated. Looking at their customer profile, there are no indications of a subscription started in the customers history.We have had other customers activating the subscription the last days, so it looks like it’s working fine.What could possibly have gone wrong here? Troubleshooting tips?

Making a purchase on iOS Simulator with Storekit does not work if you log the user in using Purchases.logIn() on React Native

Hi, I have setup StoreKit on my React Native app so that I can test out making purchases for a `auto renew subscription` on a simulator. However when trying to purchase a subscription using `await Purchases.purchasePackage(product)` its was failing with the `UKNOWN ERROR`. I manage to get it working by removing the login call (i.e. await Purchases.logIn(userId)) which I was doing when a user logged into my app. However this is not an ideal solution as I want to correctly identify the user by logging them into RevenueCat. Is this an issue with StoreKit and RevenueCat? Or am I doing something wrong? Cheers,Walter

When using revenue cat on flutter, I am getting the billing unavailable error at times and cannot access any subscription info about the user,  Mostly occurs when device starts offline, then later refreshed with internet connection, navigating to the page that checks subscription then gives billing unavailable error

Subscription being randomly removed on sign in

Hey, first of all thanks for this great platform. It simplifies handling purchases a lot, but unfortunately I’m having troubles with it.I’m experiencing strange behavior regarding subscriptions and authentication. Let’s say my account has subscription attached. I sign out and try to sign in again using credentials for the same account. Now, `logIn` calls randomly return valid subscription data or nothing. It seems to only happen on Android though. What’s even more interesting, `restoreTransactions` attaches the subscription again.In further testing it turned out subscription is moved from proper account to newly created anonymous user. Is this expected behavior? If so how can I make sure subscription stays active for the user? Let me know if additional information is needed. Grace Periods with promotional entitlements

I am using RevenueCat to manage my 3 streams of subscriptions: Android, iOS, and Web. For Web purchases, we are using the promotional entitlements API to register the relevant subscription purchases. However, we are not sure how to manage grace periods for these.Is there a recommended way of doing it using RevenueCat? Or should the logic to manage a grace period be done on our side?A potential solution we have discussed is to update a user’s subscription information when a billing issue is detected on a payment method on the Web platform. This would allow us to keep a consistent format in managing mobile and web purchases. However, there doesn't currently seem to be a way to do that.

Can't find user in customer list, but it exists in RevenueCat

Hi,I’m debugging an issue with my billing integration and want to look into customer data in RevenueCat. In my setup I have individual builds (and application ids) for development, staging and production and am currently testing a sandbox purchase for a non-consumable product on iOS.Now I’m trying to find a specific user, but the Customer List doesn’t show the user. I know that the user exists, since I can get it from the api and could find it by manually editing the https://app.revenuecat.com/customers/… url.The “Find Customer” search box also does not give me the user.How can I view all customers in the Customer List?Thanks,Thomas

Restore purchases issue with auth system

Hi everyone, We have a flutter app that requires user to make a purchase first and then create an account. Users can’t access the app unless they signup and create an account. First time a purchase is made with Rc anonymous id and after signup we call logIn() method with user id. We are trying to implement restore purchases as apple doesn’t approve apps without having any restore method. When user clicks on restore purchase revenue cat restores the purchases but transfers the purchase to an anonymous id. We are using the webhooks to save user subscription status on basis of webhooks. But after restoring purchases revenue cat send the webhooks with anonymous id and our backend is unable to connect it with user. After clicking on restore purchases logIn() method doesn’t work. In debug mode it says that user has been logged in but on revenue cat it doesn’t change the app user id and webhooks are being sent from anonymous id. How to implement the restore purchases in flutter when we have a
