Question Regarding the 1% MTR

I want to further clarity on my understanding. I hope to get a response.My question is regarding the 1% commission when sales are above 2500 USD. Does this revenue sum only apply to the products i link to revenue cat? I have only linked my subscriptions and not my one time payments where I handle them myself.any help and clarification on this will really be appreciated. Thank you!

Get Offerings Errors randomly in Production: better to hardcode offering details?

I am getting another random error in Production when I fetch my products.  Is it better to hardcode my 2 offerings:  Monthly & Annual instead of relying on RevenueCat `getOffering()` API which is resulting in errors too often?  None of the errors happen locally, only in production.  Logging is useless.

Error « trying to validate the receipt »

While I’ve previously (as of February?) been able to make sandbox purchases in my iOS app, they are now all failing. I initially get a “purchase was successful” message but then get: There was a problem with the App Store. Problem communicating with the Store when trying to validate the receipt. After the initial purchase attempt, these receipts get cached on the device and the verification is re-attempted on each start-up, with the same error. In addition, I’ll then see: Error computing offline CustomerInfo. Will return original error.Creation error: Unable to compute offline CustomerInfo when purchasing consumable products. I am testing on multiple devices (iOS 16 & 17). I am using Xcode 15.3. I’ve updated to the latest purchases-ios package (4.40.0 -- was previously 4.34.0). I’ve created new sandbox accounts. (This is the only way to get rid of the “cached receipts” above.) I’ve tried with the device logged into my Apple ID and App Store logged into sandbox (this is how it worke

App crashes when i try to show a pay wall in react native (Android)

Paywall localization error

I’m trying to create a Paywall from the RevenueCat dashboard for an existing offering. For the Localization field, I keep getting the following error: Paywall content is required for at least one language.  When I select other languages, for example, Japanese, I get the following error: Japanese has an error. Is anyone experiencing the same issue? I cannot create a paywall because of this error.

Why are all my free trials resulting in BILLING_ERROR?

Something strange has been happening over this last week. Each user who starts a free trial has it automatically cancelled due to a billing error. Event data reported by RC contains "cancel_reason": "BILLING_ERROR".The app currently looks for billing issues (via billingIssueDetectedAt  in RCEntitlementInfo) and guides the user to update their App Store billing. Beyond this, to prevent revenue loss, I’ve switched to a discounted offering without a free trial while I figure out what’s going on.For context, it’s an iOS app using Purchases v3.11.1 (although this is probably not an SDK issue).Any ideas as to what’s happening here?

Missing method in react native sdk (react-native-purchases

Hello! There is no method to set the protected attribute $firebaseAppInstanceId in react native, so the 3. of this tutorial  for the revenueCat ↔ firebase analytics integration can’t be completed. Setting it with Purchases.setAttributes({$firebaseAppInstanceId: THE_ID }) doesn’t work. How can I do it?

restoreCompleted/restoreFailure doesn't trigger in PaywallFooter

I have added a `paywallFooter` to my SwiftUI screen and it seems to be working fine.However, I have noticed that the `restoreCompleted` and `restoreFailure` callbacks are not getting triggered. I have observed that the `restoreStarted` callback is getting triggered when the user clicks on the "Restore Purchase" button, but the other callbacks do not seem to be working..paywallFooter( fonts: CustomPaywallFontProvider(fontName: FontFamily.ZenMaruGothic.medium.name), purchaseCompleted: { customerInfo in // Triggers as expected }, restoreStarted: { // Triggers as expected }, restoreCompleted: { _ in // Doesn't work }, restoreFailure: { _ in // Doesn't work } ) I can see that the restore logic is successful based on the console log, but nothing appears on the screen upon completion, resulting in a poor experience for customers.Could you please help me?

After upgrading our Flutter environment from version 3.13.8 to 3.19.3, we encountered a persistent error when fetching offerings from RevenueCat using the purchases_flutter plugin. Unable to fetch Offerings error only for some users

Hi RevenueCat Team,I am getting the below error while fetching offerings only for some users and for most of users it’s working fine and payments are going through, “PurchasesError(code=ConfigurationError, underlyingErrorMessage=There's a problem with your configuration. None of the products registered in the RevenueCat dashboard could be fetched from the Play Store. More information: https://rev.cat/why-are-offerings….”We did fetched some details from the devices it is happening.They are completely valid model with latest Android versions.And also they do have Play Store installed with latest version.Also checked if they are eligible for a payment using callback provided by RevenueCat and it’s showing true.Any help would be greatly appreciated

Any recommended approach when you have to disable a subscription and migrate all the existing customers?

Due to a mistaken configuration, we currently have 9 subscriptions for each store. Except for duration, products are similar in terms of benefits offered, while in some cases price can change in a 5% of the overall regions. We would like to disable all the useless subscriptions we are offering and maintain only one annual plan and one monthly plan. I know that current iOS subscribers of the disabled plans won’t have the possibility to renew anymore, while for Android users it depends from a renewal setting. Is there any suggested (and legal) process to follow in order to migrate these customers to one of the existing plans we want to maintain? I am thinking of a communication that their plan will convert in legacy and that they can subscribe to one of the available options. I read about price changes that can work for the 5% mentioned above, but in many cases the price will be maintained so this is not our case. I am interested in both App Store and Play Console approaches, thanks!

Is `Restore Purchases` linked to the account that buys the In-App Product?

Good day, This is my first time using RevenueCat. I wanted to use it to allow anonymous users to buy 1 all access package for a fixed price. Currently my app supports android only and I am assigning a device bound unique Id in my configuration (see snippet).  This is a hexadecimal string unique to each combination of app-signing key, user, and devicePurchases.configure({ apiKey: APIKeys.google, appUserID: Application.getAndroidId(),})My question on the matter is that I was wondering what prompts the Restore Purchases functionality. Is it the google play account that completes the purchase initially? If so what happens if a user is logged into multiple accounts. I’ve tested it for myself by buying the package on an emulator using my GmailA account. Then on my real device press the restore purchase button with GmailA logged in. This worked. even though the  appUserId Is not the same (since it’s a different device). Hence the question if it is managed by RevenueCat’s backend using t

Paywall localization

I have successfully setup paywall in my app. Pricing etc. everything is in place.I can see the localized versions of the paywall as a preview in paywall setup screen of revenuecat website. However in my own smartphone I can only experience english version.

State of API results vs webhook events

Hi!We’ve recently starting using RevenueCat and everything seems to be working fine!We have a backend-focused approach, where we query the REST API to get subscription information server-side. Something we have noticed is that the API returns old data when immediately querying it after receiving a webhook event or purchase. This happens with both server webhooks or webhooks to the SDK. We have noticed that this can take longer than 2 seconds before querying the API delivers the new data.The question then is, when can we expect querying the API to return the same state of the data as in the webhook event? Kind regards,Bob

How to get the Entitlement name from a Package?

Users losing access to entitlements after switching from active to activeInCurrentEnvironment

Hey,Recently I switched my unlock check from look for entitlements in `active`, to looking in `activeInCurrentEnvironment`, in order to prevent people unlocking Pro in TestFlight and carrying it over to production.This went smoothly for them majority of users, but a couple of users  have reported losing access to their Pro status, despite having active subscriptions/production lifetime purchases. I got one user to send through a recording of his error, and the purchase flow went as follows:Launches app, I call `getCustomerInfo` with a policy of `notStaleCachedOrFetched`, I then pass that to a function call `handlePurchaseInfo`, which determines the user does not have any active entitlements. They open the Pestle Pro screen, which determines they are ineligible for a trial. They hit ‘Restore Purchases’, which triggers the RevenueCat restore purchases flow, and I pass the result to the same `handlePurchaseInfo` method from before.
