Remove ads purchase best practices [flutter]

One of the purchase related scenarios for my app is removing ads that are normally displayed right after the app is installed.I was wondering what would be the best way of handling the case where:1) the user installs the app2) the user makes a purchase removing the ads (a non consumable)3) the app is uninstalled4) the user reinstalls the app on the same or a different device.At this stage of my project I do not want to maintain a backend server or use Firebase with a login mechanism etc, and instead I would very much like to rely on the RevenueCat alone.  I have tested the scenario on Android and it appears that since it is recommended that the method that restores transactions should be triggered consciously - by tapping a button for example and not when the app is starting up, the only way I can think of to do this is to display a dialog when the app is started for the very first time and give the user opportunity to restore the purchases (if any were previously made) and once the pu

React native - subscribe with a promo-code (IOS)

I cannot find a clear way to implement the IOS promo codes inside React Native surely, I followed the documentation here : https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/ios-subscription-offers I tried both offer codes and the promotional offers the promotional offers could not be used, it fired error,this offer is ineligible for the current userlooks these promotional offers cannot be used for the new users so I had to switch to the offer codes, I tried to open the sheetPurchase.presentCodeRedemptionSheet(); it does not show anything, neither give me any errors to know what’s happening   Apple forcing us to use their promotional system to pass the app review and publishing to the storeMy client application is delayed for a months because of this feature

Entitlement is active after a refund

Hey,I can see in my app (iOS) that users who become premium users (subscribers) and then claim for a refund, they still considered to have isActive true in their entitlement. To check that - When I start the app (in the appDelegate), I use the PurchasesDelegate to check what the current status of the user when he enters the app:if purchaserInfo.entitlements[Constants.entitlementID]?.isActive == true { // USER IS PREMIUM} else { // USER IS NOT PREMIUM }Hence, I assume that if a user asked for a refund he will no longer be entitled to be active, but I can see that users are still getting isActive true. What am I doing wrong? Is anyone else encountered that?Or, is there other if statement that I can do which is more accurate? Thanks!

Finding purchase_token from Android purchases

We wish to integrate our sales data with ChartMogul. We need to send payloads to ChartMogul with data about every purchase.  In section 3 of this link from ChartMogul, it is described: purchase_token - Mandatory - The purchaseToken returned by Google Play as soon as a purchase is completed. This is usually returned within the INAPP_PURCHASE_DATA object in the getBuyIntent() method. How can we access this purchase_token? We are using the webhooks sent from RevenueCat to our backend, to align our userbase with the purchasing events from RevenueCat. However there is no purchase_token field on any of these events. I assume it has been renamed..?

My app can not fetch offerings on Android 7.1, on higher versions works fine. Also, works fine on iOS.Sorry, I can’t write here detailed information about error.

Deleting a product does not work

I have two iOS products in my app.One I do not want to use any longer so I deleted it from app store connect.Next step is to delete it from the products in my app in revenuecat. So I click “Products”, then select the product from the list and on the bottom of the page I click the big red “Delete product” button.Then press “Confirm” on the “Are you sure?” warning.Result: Product still there….Tried this in Safari and Firefox.Any clues?I think this may also be the cause of the WARN: Could not find SKProduct for ( that I keep getting when I try to test it on my actual device. The products that I have in Revenuecat do not match the products that I have in the app store. I tried re-adding the product to the app store but apple won’t let me do that because I already used it previously. Edit: I just tried it again and then I noticed the brief popup on the top of the screen with the text: “There are transactions in the system using this product.” I’m not sure what this means yet but I’m going

Empty offerings on android emulator in dev mode - should it be possible for this to work?

Listen for subscription life cycle

There is a way to know if the subscription has expired without doing an operation like Purchases.getPurchaserInfo ()I understand that Purchases.addPurchaserInfoUpdateListener detects when a purchase is made, or whatever but not when a subscription expires.I use Flutter.If you have any advice on how to do it I would be grateful.Thanks

Rationale behind non-consumable purchases on Google Play?

I’m new to RevenueCat and am looking into how I can migrate my existing app’s non-consumable in-app purchases to RevenueCat.I know this type of question has been asked several times, but none of the answers really answered my questionSo far, I’ve looked at using syncPurchases() but as stated in the documentation:Google Play Store does not provide an option to mark IAPs as consumable or non-consumable. RevenueCat's SDK will consume all Android IAPs upon purchase.To replicate the behavior of a non-consumable IAP for Android users, you must ensure your user will not offered the IAP after the initial purchase. Getting 429 - TooManyRequests on Get Subscriber

Getting a 429 on the https://api.revenuecat.com/v1/subscribers/app_user_id request. The response body has this:    {"code":7638,"message":"There is another request in flight trying to perform the same action."}The requests are made from backend webhook code where two webhook events for the same user get load balanced to two completely different servers. So, I do have 2 outstanding requests for the same user. I'm wondering if there is a way around this since the amount of work to coordinate a single outstanding request per user isn't trivial.Thanks,Ken

Multi-quantity subscriptions and assigning subscriptions to other users

Hey,We are building products with an unusual subscription model. I would be interested to know if someone successfully implemented such a subscription model with RevenueCat. I'm also interested to hear about suggestions. We are building apps for iOS and Android where an ‘admin’ user could purchase multiple subscriptions with his AppleID/GoogleID and assign each subscription to a managed user (i.e. with a different AppleID). So we are trying to implement a subscription model with 2 unusual characteristics:Multi-quantity subscriptions Assigning subscriptions to other usersNote that most of our users would only want to purchase 1 or 2 subscriptions, so we can fake multi-quantity subscriptions by creating multiple products/packages/entitlements.Here is how we imagine the flow:The admin user signs in in our app. The app has a custom App User ID to identify this user that we will use it with RevenueCat. Transactions fail with "billing issue"

Hello, I have RevenueCat integrated with one of my apps and I loved it so far, but recently I’ve noticed that some of my transactions fail with “billing issue” for example last week I’ve had 4 in a row free trial conversions to paid users fail with a billing issue which seems too odd to be coincidence 1 of the transactions first failed with billing issue then 24h later appeared as “converted from the free trial”The api version the app uses is: 3.11.1Users with billing issue are using IOS 14 and 15 and located in US and AustraliaSo are there some logs that I can check to see what was the reason for the failed transactions or can someone from RevenueCat check that for me? Thank you!

UpgradeInfo not working on Android with Flutter

I’m testing in Android emulator with Play Store access using a testing account so no actual money is being charged. I am able to purchase products and packages, but not able to test changing packages using the UpgradeInfo docs. What could the issue be with Play Store or is there some other configuration I need to make somewhere? When I select the package to change to I see the following, which all looks correct in my logs. Best practices to switch user from subscription to lifetime "subscription" which is consumable.

Hey,What is the best practice to switch users from existing subscription to life time product on iOS and Android, like lifetime “subscription” which is actually not a subscription but consumable product.As I understand you cannot cancel subscription on iOS , so the only thing is to show link to the user and notify that he should cancel current subscription manually? Little bit not user friendly approach.And for Android seems like you can revoke + refund via api, but only revoke is needed actually not a refund. Or same as iOS to show link to user for cancellation, which is also not a very good option.Thanks

iOS Free trial + offer code?

hey folks,we’re facing a bit of a conundrum:On iOS, we offer a 7 day free trial as an introductory offer. However, for some users that come from channel partners we’ve created (iOS 14) offer codes that give users either a 2 week or 1 month free trial. For these offer codes, we’ve set "No, this code will replace the introductory offer”.A few times now, a user who was supposed to use the offer code, instead redeemed the introductory offer 7 day free trial. After they do this, we give them the offer code and when they redeem it, Apple adds the introductory offer 7 day free trial to the 1 month free trial and so they get ~37 day free trial.Is there any way for me to have it change from the 7 day trial to the 1 month free trial instead, instead of going to the 1 week + 1 month?Also, users report that after they redeem the offer code (after initially redeeming the introductory 7 day trial offer), in their Apple ID subscription settings, they see “plan automatically renews at $X.XX/month star

Free Trials not showing in Production

I’ve just launched an app into production and it’s not showing Free Trials correctly. I was under the understanding that this could be an issue in the Sandbox environment, but shouldn’t be an issue in production – however that appears to not be the case.When users do click on ‘buy’ they are shown the free trial text in the system dialog, but it's a little late by then.The Free Trial offers *are* showing when using the StoreKit config, so everything appears to be wired up correctly on the application side.Any tips?

Is it possible to send webhooks to multiple endpoints?

We have multiple developers on the team that are working on our mobile IAP implementation, which means they all have to receive webhooks on their local dev machines to test things. So far we have been managing this by just changing the webhook URL as different people test, as well as having multiple RC apps to test with. This can be pretty cumbersome because we can’t duplicate apps, we have to create new ones fresh and go through the process of copying the existing configuration from the old app.It would be so much easier if we could just configure multiple endpoints that all webhooks get sent to. Is this possible, or something that we could get added to your backlog?Thanks.

Block Restores & RC Anonymous AppUserIds

Hello!We are planning to use the "block restore" configuration on Revenue Cat for our iOS application and wanted to make sure (1) it's the right option for us given our business logic and (2) if we use it, can/should we avoid RC anonymous IDs altogether since we require a user to have an account and thus internal UUID (app user id) in our application before subscribing? We want to have a single source of truth for identifying a user, and to avoid having lots of anonymous IDs and the network calls to RC API that would unnecessarily create them (if possible).1. Our application requires users to create an account in order to subscribe, and we want to prevent the sharing of a subscription linked to a single Apple ID across multiple user accounts / internal app_user_ids that live in our application database. Play Store Service Credential Delays

When setting up your Play Store service credentials, it can take up to 36hrs+ for your credentials to work properly with the Android Developer API. You will see "Invalid Play Store credentials" errors and be unable to make purchases with RevenueCat until this happens. Flutter - Consumable Purchase Validation on Server

Our Flutter app has subscriptions and consumables that are wired through RevenueCat.For this specific new feature, after a consumable purchase, some entries must be updated on the server-side. We do have endpoints to inform the back-end that a purchase was made, however, this purchase needs to be validated in the server so that malicious users won't abuse that endpoint.I found another thread with a similar issue, mostly described in this comment. We do have differences, however, which are that we need to send specific parameters (related to the purchase) to that endpoint and also that the Client must see the results with little to no delay, so using webhooks does not look like a good solution.We require some sort of purchase/transaction ID that is received by the client right after the purchase and that can be sent to the server for validation. What would be the best way to achieve this?Thank you in advance.

Entitlement Status is Always Showing Active

Firebase custom claims

Hi.I have used the Revenuecat extension for firebase for a while, but have not found the use of it as I cant see custom claims in the idTokenResult.I want to use custom claims to only allow users with subscription to upload files and then use this custom claims on firestore rules instead of only checking permission inside the application.I have configured the extension in revenuecat and enabled custom claims in the extension:Should custom claims be set in Firebase Auth with the user's active entitlements? Conditionally apply Introductory Offers?

I am looking into how to support discounted subscriptions in our app similar to how we provide them in our web based product. We have a few different scenarios that I am looking to support, specifically:Giving an introductory offer of 20% off for 3 months based on signup criteria Giving an introductory offer of 20% off for 6 months based on different signup criteria Giving a free month of a subscriptionI am looking at https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/ios-subscription-offers to try to figure out the best option for me. It looks like Introductory Offers is what we want for the first two bullet points since we can automatically apply it in-app at initial purchase time without the customer needing to enter an offer code. However, the notes beside intro offers says “SDK applies offer to purchases automatically”, does that mean I can’t control which of the two intro prices I offer? Is that a misunderstanding of intro offers on my part perhaps? Basically, based on server side information, I w
