Empty Product Offerings w/ App Store Payment Agreement Renewal

Had some questions regarding iOS-specific empty product offerings:Is there anything specific we need to do within RevenueCat to let RevenueCat know that there is a newly renewed Paid Apps Agreement for App Store? How long does it take for RevenueCat to be able to register a newly renewed Paid Apps Agreement? We renewed the agreement in App Store Connect about an hour ago but we are still seeing errors. We haven’t created any new product offerings. Is there anything else we should consider to debug beyond what’s been mentioned in     More context below:-------------------We’re using the Flutter version of RevenueCat and recently had a spike in iOS-specific errors where RevenueCat couldn’t fetch our products. UpgradeInfo not working on Android with Flutter

I’m testing in Android emulator with Play Store access using a testing account so no actual money is being charged. I am able to purchase products and packages, but not able to test changing packages using the UpgradeInfo docs. What could the issue be with Play Store or is there some other configuration I need to make somewhere? When I select the package to change to I see the following, which all looks correct in my logs. Conditionally apply Introductory Offers?

I am looking into how to support discounted subscriptions in our app similar to how we provide them in our web based product. We have a few different scenarios that I am looking to support, specifically:Giving an introductory offer of 20% off for 3 months based on signup criteria Giving an introductory offer of 20% off for 6 months based on different signup criteria Giving a free month of a subscriptionI am looking at https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/ios-subscription-offers to try to figure out the best option for me. It looks like Introductory Offers is what we want for the first two bullet points since we can automatically apply it in-app at initial purchase time without the customer needing to enter an offer code. However, the notes beside intro offers says “SDK applies offer to purchases automatically”, does that mean I can’t control which of the two intro prices I offer? Block Restores & RC Anonymous AppUserIds

Hello!We are planning to use the "block restore" configuration on Revenue Cat for our iOS application and wanted to make sure (1) it's the right option for us given our business logic and (2) if we use it, can/should we avoid RC anonymous IDs altogether since we require a user to have an account and thus internal UUID (app user id) in our application before subscribing? We want to have a single source of truth for identifying a user, and to avoid having lots of anonymous IDs and the network calls to RC API that would unnecessarily create them (if possible).1. Our application requires users to create an account in order to subscribe, and we want to prevent the sharing of a subscription linked to a single Apple ID across multiple user accounts / internal app_user_ids that live in our application database. This makes it seem like the "block restore" option is the way for us to go since that should prevent both (a) the sharing of an Apple ID’s subscription from User A to User B (where both

Android error Item Unavailable

HI there! I’m hoping you will able to help. Here is the error Item Unavailable, id the correct, in the google account all is also ok. It’s closed testing, and also testers, devices and so on is ok. The app got prices from the cat, but still it doesn’t work. We also can’t make a test purchase via cat and didn’t seen any tries in the sandbox dashboard.  Maybe someone know what to do nextThanks in advance

Cancel subscriptions from within react native app?

Hey guys. Apparently there has been an update to the Google Play Developer Program Policy where customers “must be able to easily cancel their subscription from within the app.”I was wondering what the best approach for this was. I’m under the impression that cancelling a subscription in-app isn't possible yet? If I’m wrong could someone point me in the right direction?I did come across this thread that says how redirect the user manage their subscription? Does any one know if this method would suffice?

Offering with multiple packages in Android

We have set up subscriptions in RevenueCat as outlined in Configuring Products. Namely we have multiple, separate, independent, subscriptions, each with two different prices (one for monthly subscription, one for annual subscription). So I have one RevenueCat “offering” for each subscription and each subscription has two “packages” (one for monthly and another for annual). Obviously, I have added the Apple App Store products, and added them to the respective offering’s packages (and to the entitlements). That Apple product is live and in the store and that’s great.I am now trying to create the Google Play Store subscriptions/products, to mirror those subscriptions that are live in the Apple App Store and add them to my RevenueCat products/offerings/entitlements. Hey, i have configured android base plan with just 1 offer to be trial 7 days but purchase package does not have introductoryPrice information on app store purchases everything works. I have backward compatible base plan but looks like trial is not, why ? I created it last week, is it because of that? In this case how to fix it ? Thanks

How to handle multiple accounts on one device with a common Play Store sign in?

 It goes something like this:1 - Sign into RC with appID12 - Purchase subscription.3 - Sign out and back in again using appID24 - RC says no subscription active for appID2 and so we present offerings.5 - Purchase fails because (presumably) Play Store thinks we already have an active sub because appID1 bought one using the common PlayStore sign in.I’d like to prohibit sub sharing across different accounts.In order for appID2 to be able to purchase a subscription, another Play Store account needs to be used.What’s the general best practice for dealing with this scenario?Many thanks.

multiple users receiving: StoreProblemError: Error updating purchases | ErrorCode: ERROR.

Recently we have had a number of users contact us because they’re unable to purchase a subscription: After a bit of investigation is appears that RevenueCat SDK is returning:{ message: "There was a problem with the Play Store.", readable_error_code: "StoreProblemError", readableErrorCode: "StoreProblemError", underlyingErrorMessage: "Error updating purchases.", debugMessage: ErrorCode: ERROR.:}When we look up these users in RevenueCat we see no activity.When we look up these users in Google Play Store’s Order Management they all show cancelled purchases:We are using: react-native-purchases v4.2.0. Does anyone have any insight into what could cause this error?

Subscription started in the App Store, not showing up in in RevenueCat

Hi! We just launched our new in-app purchase, so it’s only been live for a few days. A customer just let us know that they successfully started a subscription (they confirmed with an app store recipt and screenshot of the active subscription in the app store), but the service wasn’t activated. Looking at their customer profile, there are no indications of a subscription started in the customers history.We have had other customers activating the subscription the last days, so it looks like it’s working fine.What could possibly have gone wrong here? Troubleshooting tips?

Switching Users in Sandbox mode

Hello, I am currently testing my Revenue Cat integration and have a problem when switching between different users. I use my own user ID, which I send to Revenue Cat after logging into my app using the .login-method. As soon as I make a purchase, however, all existing purchases are transferred to my current user ID and only the current user ID is listed in my sandbox overview. It does not matter whether a logout takes place beforehand or not. Do I have to pay attention to anything else when switching between two users?Thanks in advance.

Why are some of my subscriptions canceled due to a billing error? Am I doing something wrong on my end or does that mean the user’s credit card isn’t working or something? Some of the transactions are going through and others aren’t so I’m not sure why this is happening.

Should subscriptions need to be linked to stores ids or to emails?

HiI have set the RC id linked to my users accounts’ unique identifiers and I thought that was ok. So the RC accounts are linked to my app accounts (a user, theoretically could have one account with subscription and another without it, imagine like a user having a professional Dropbox subscriptions and a personal one accessed via the same device)But after an Apple rejection when they asked me to make possible that users conserve their subscriptions even if they upgrade phone, then I’m questioning myself if this is the right approach. It seems that, as subscriptions can only be cancelled via the stores menu, then all the accounts accessed via the same device would act the same.Is this the “standard” way to make it work? Subscriptions linked to Stores accounts and not to my-app accounts?I don’t have a preference, 99.9% of the cases my users will have just one account. I just want to make my app compliant and to make it work in the standard way.

Action Needed: Apple Pay Payment Processing Certificate Expires - any changes in configuration?

Hello, I have got this e-mail from Apple:“ Your Apple Pay Payment Processing Certificate is set to expire on January 5, 2023. This certificate is required to encrypt the Apple Pay Token. If you don’t update the certificate before January 5, 2023, customers will be unable to use Apple Pay listed under merchant.<my app>.To successfully update this certificate, please reach out to your Payment Service Provider or, if the payment token is decrypted by you, follow these instructions" Do I need to perform any actions in my RevenueCat configuration?I can not find any documentation for this situation.Thanks for helpSlawek

Best Practice for Tracking Other Users' Entitlements/Subscription State

I have a subscription tier in my iOS app. I understand how to access `purchaserInfo` to check if the current user has the entitlement associated with this tier. However, I would like to display a badge on all user icons for other subscribers in the app - a little like the ‘verified’ badges on a Twitter account image.Clearly I need to store something server-side on my own user objects to track this, but I’m not sure what approach to take. Perhaps each user’s status should be saved to the server by my app as their entitlements change, and other instances use this saved user flag? But entitlements can change when the app isn’t being used, such as cancelled or expired subscriptions. My backend will have no knowledge of that change, so that use will continue to be displayed as a subscriber until and unless the launch the app again.Any suggestions on a good approach for this?

Understanding basics. Best practise to upgrade an iOS subscription

I use the following code to upgrade/downgrade subscriptions. It works fine on Android but iOS is not playing ball. When I upgrade/downgrade a test subscription, nothing happens. What could I be doing wrong? if (Platform.isAndroid) await Purchases.purchasePackage(myPackage, upgradeInfo: old_SKU);if (Platform.isIOS) await Purchases.purchasePackage(myNewPackage); As documentation says there is no change to the code for new purchase and upgrade/downgrade scenario in iOS. So why is no change to the subscription happening please?

Do I need to store data in a database

I am writing an app with the choice to subscribe to premium features on a monthly or yearly basis. I’ve been wondering if I need to store webhook data that comes from revenuecat into my database. What would be the benefit of this? I thought that the revenuecat API (i.e. javascript API) lets us see if a user (i.e. alex@mywebsite.com) is subscribed to our iOS/Android/Stripe app. Maybe I’m missing the point somewhere here. If I did store the data in a SQL db, how would the schema be best designed?  I see @ryan from RevenueCat replied to a similar post but I’m not 100% sure how to implement this best. I see the /subscriber endpoint docs mention a subscriber object, entitlement object, subscription object, non-subscription object, subscriber attribute object - would I want SQL tables for each of these?

Re-purchase after App delete and reinstall with anonymous user

I have an app that has been available in the App Store for sometime.  Many users have made a life time purchase to be ad free.I now wish to convert that payment to a yearly subscription.I have been doing some testing with a prototype app after following the tutorial by Code With Chris.The life time purchase will no longer be an option once I have updated to subscriptionIf a life time purchasers deletes then reinstalls the app after the update they will see the ‘Go Ad Free’ button and the ‘Restore Purchases’ button available to them.Question - I want to understand the behaviour when one of these users taps the ‘Go Ad Free’ button instead of restore.In my testing the App Store response does recognise that the user has already purchased life time Ad Free status and appears to charge them for a subscription.  Although the subscription doesn’t appear in the sandbox recent transactions so maybe there is no charge?  It would not be clear to the user though.Sorry for the long question.  I hope

How does the new EXPIRATION event handle grace periods?

Hi,I am using a web hook to track user subscription status on my server. The new EXPIRATION event seems like a good way to tell if the user should be downgraded or not. This raises a couple of questions though:If a grace period is defined in the App Store for billing issues, when does the EXPIRATION event get fired (assuming the billing issue is not resolved): before the grace period or after?Another question we have is: if a subscription is paused (possible only on Google Play), is this event (EXPIRATION) fired?Thanks!Yariv from the Bizillion team

Play Store Service Credential Delays

When setting up your Play Store service credentials, it can take up to 36hrs+ for your credentials to work properly with the Android Developer API. You will see "Invalid Play Store credentials" errors and be unable to make purchases with RevenueCat until this happens. Any changes to these credentials will also take up to 36hrs+ to fully propagate. Expo: How to purchase One time In-App product in revenue cat

I have added in app products in play console and also imported them to revenue cat dashboard, i am also fetching and displaying these products in my app, now i know that there is a method called "Purchases.purchaseProduct" but i dont know how to use it. For Purchases.purchasePackage method we get customerInfo object back on successfull purchase but what do we get or how do we know user successfully bought the product, i can only see  Purchases.purchaseProduct in documentation Here is the documentation that i am referring to Making Purchases

App name shows after product title for Android
