Offer code for new users in ios 14(How can I test it)

I want to grant premium access to some users with offer codes and present Redeem page with this method: Purchases.shared.presentCodeRedemptionSheet()It works fine ,but:After redemption how can I verify the results(e.g entitlement ,days remaining ,etc )and how can I test it with in sandbox environment ,is it possible?I have my appstore connect side configured but I need some recommendation on revenue cat please.

Hello, I’m going through the steps here: https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/apple-app-store#ios-14-only-testing-on-the-simulatorAnd I’ve gone over it several times, and I think I’m doing everything right, but I keep getting [Purchases] - WARN: 🍎‼️ Invalid Product Identifiers - (I have the certificate in place. Double checked my identifiers are spelled right. And I get the products on the actual device, just haven’t gotten the StoreKit testing working on simulator.Thoughts?

Invalid Product Identifiers

Hey,We are currently receiving an error fetching Offerings with the RevenueCat SDK on iOS (SDK Version - 3.13.0).From searching and reading the ‘Why are offerings or products empty?’ support document, we have confirmed we are seemingly matching all of the requirements:We have agreed to the latest App Store Paid agreement in App Store Connect. We have created a In-App Purchase Subscription in App Store Connect that is a 1-month auto-renewing subscription. This In-App Purchase Subscription status is marked as ‘Ready to Submit’ in App Store Connect. We have a matching Product created within RevenueCat, and have verified it’s identifier matches the Product ID in App Store Connect. Within RevenueCat, the Product is associated with the correct Entitlement, and the only Offering we have contains 1 Package with this Product. We are not using a StoreKit Configuration file. We have enabled the In-App Purchase capability in the Xcode project settings. We are testing on device.After requesting the

Not seeing sandbox customer in Customer > sandbox

I am not seeing all sandbox data in revenueCat : if I subscribe a user on a build of my app (and I can see the subscription worked in the Iphone’s sandbox accounts info), sometimes I still can’t see the customer in RevenueCat in Customers > Sandbox Any idea how I can fix this? Best,Jane

Getting active Entitlements from an expired subscription iOS

Hello, Any ideas as to why the app will be receiving active entitlements even months after the subscription has expired? Currently I have an app in production, and while going through some of the “Expired” accounts, I noticed that a few of them are still active with the application. I have checked, and double checked, tested the logic of the app and it seems as if it should block the person from using the app and being directed to a subscription page. However, the only reasonable explanation as to why the users are still having access to the app would be if RevenueCat’s SDK is sending back an active entitlement.  I have a method, that each time the app becomes active is called, this method is in charge of verifying that the user has an active subscription each time the app becomes active. Within “checkForActiveSubscription()” I call the “purchaserInfo” to get the latest information from the purchaser as per the instructions on how to check for active subscription on the documents. Side

User has multiple subscriptions

Multiple subscriptions? How?Although rare, it's possible for a user to have multiple active subscriptions. On iOS, this could be done by accident if a user has multiple devices using different Apple accounts and purchased on each one. On Android, a user may have tried to upgrade/downgrade a subscription but instead purchased a duplicate. If using RevenueCat to make purchases on Android, you need to specify in the purchasePackage method whether it is an upgrade/downgrade, or else it will be treated like a regular purchase.If neither of the above cases apply, or you see a lot of subscriptions on the same user in RevenueCat, you may have hardcoded an App User ID instead of using a unique identifier for each user. Each subscription is actually associated with a different Apple or Google account, but each one is tied to the same hardcoded App User ID in RevenueCat. In order to separate these users out, you should release an update to your app that clears out the hardcoded App User ID, then

How do I add Maestro payment options to in-app purchases?

Hey boys and girls!  I’m quite new to app development and just launched my first app on the app stores with the help of Revenuecat for offering in-app purchases.  I’m located in the Netherlands and noticed that Maestro cards (debit cards) are not available for the in-app purchase, does anyone know why so and how I’m able to fix it? Thanks for taking the time to read this! Stripe Integration: Totally lost!

Hello, We have a subscription-based, multi-platform product that’s available on Web, Android, and iOS.Last week we set up Google Play and Apple Store integration with RC for our product and it’s finally working. We just started doing Stripe integration for our Web users, and it seems to be a lot more complicated and confusing than we expected.  We feel that Strip integration is a 3rd-class citizen of RC, since there are only one vague doc, and a 2 year old sample code and a lot of required manual work. Here are our thoughts and questions.  1) Any use of SDK for Stripe at all?!When we first evaluated RC, we thought the Purchases SDK of RC would give us a hand on all platforms. (See the first paragraph below) However, it seems like the Client Side SDK of RC should be completely discarded on Web/Stripe, as it cannot do basic tasks like getPurchaserInfo (Source) even when we pass the strip_xxx Public API Key and app_user_id to the setup() method of SDK.  It throws cordova_not_available err

Inconsistent Free Trail Eligibility on Google Play Store

Greetings, It seems like the only “Free Trial” option for Subscriptions on Android (Google Play) that RC supports is “Eligibility Criteria: New Customer Acquisition” in Play Store’s offers.  That’s the only backward-compatible offer that RC is accepting, per docs. This offer, on the Google Play side, is only limited to the new customers (either never had this, or never had any subscription(s)).  Now, consider that a user gets this package and cancels the renewal.  After a while, they come back and want to resubscribe to the same package.On the Google Side, the user is not eligible to the offer. So no 14 days trials. However, on the RC side, we are receiving the same “14 days trial” intro_offer in the getOfferings() for this user, as a brand new user.It is causing an inconsistency between what our app is displaying the user in the UI and what they end up buying, which can cause us legal problems down the road.How can we prevent this?

How to create subscription discounts for new users in a React Native app?

Hi, We have just recently released a new version of our React Native app to the App Store that allows users to subscribe to a £15.99/month subscription. We have a big affiliate network which we want to tap into to drive sign ups. In order to do this we want to offer discounts to people who sign up using an affiliate discount code. Fatal Issue - Offerings are no longer being returned from RevenueCat

Our iOS app stopped receiving responses from RevenueCat sometime in the past week. No code was changed on our end and our live app is no longer displaying any subscription options.This call is simply not returning successfully, nor is the failure block called. It doesn't matter what "offering" is - I’ve tried several of our offerings that are registered with RC and that have worked before. Any ideas what could have broken? Can I delete a lifetime purchase made in the Testflight/sandbox?

Hi there,Our app has options for subscriptions:monthly renewing subscriptions annual renewing subscriptions lifetime month_upgrade_lifetimeThe lifetime  option is implemented as a non-consumable purchase in the App Store.The issue we’re having is that once a user has purchased a lifetime subscription in the sandbox, there seems to be no way to ignore that purchase (even to Deleting Account, user can still restore after deleting the account).So we have to treat sandbox lifetime purchases as invalid. How to get around "Google Service Account credentials JSON is invalid"?

I have been following the instructions here https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/creating-play-service-credentials and downloaded the the .json file in step 2. I am attempting to “Enter the Credentials JSON in RevenueCat” in step 4, though I’m concerned I’m doing it wrong.  The UI seems to expect a single line of text, and the .json that Google Cloud generates is quite large.  If this is the proper way to use Revenue Cat, this is janky as all hell. Anyway, I have taken the .json contents into a plain text editor, joined all lines, and removed all spaces (as per recommendations in other community posts), but when I attempt to upload the .json, I see this error message:  (Image reads: “The provided Google Service Account credentials JSON is invalid.”) This seems to be an immediate failure (many community posts seem to involve long wait times for credentials to become active or something).  There is no help for figuring out if I’m adding the json contents incorrectly, or if so, what’s wrong f

Increasing subscription prices

Hello,I have an app that is live on the App Store and the Google Play Store. We have a paywall where users can subscribe to access our app, either subscribing to a monthly plan or a semi-annual plan. We are now wanting to raise our prices, but want to keep the existing prices for those who are currently subscribed. I read online in the RevenueCat docs that you recommend creating new products as opposed to increasing prices of existing products. That makes sense because we want our revenue data on RC to be accurate, and our product names have the price in them. I know how to create new products, but my main concern is that on iOS, users will be able to change their subscription to the old "grandfathered" pricing through the Subscriptions section of the settings app. Will that be the case? Or is there a way to stop users from moving to a cheaper subscription within the same entitlement/subscription group. how to buy consumable products again and again

hi, i was trying to set up a consumable products based on Non-Subscription Purchases doc recommendations from revenue cat https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/non-subscriptions.but after calling purchaseProduct for a consumable product  i can't seem to purchase this product again because it was bought as a non-consumable the flutter in_app_purchase package has two methods to buy product (buyConsumables or buyNonConsumables) does revenue cat have similar way or other to make sure a product can be bought again

Does Android have subscription groups?

For IOS, we can create a subscription group with multiple products. For example, say we have a group with two products: Premium Monthly and Premium Yearly. The subscription group makes sure that the user can only have one at a time. Changing from one to another is a crossgrade.How is this supposed to be done with Android? I couldn’t find anything in the Google play console for subscription groups.Is it a correct assumption that if the user purchased Premium Monthly product, they cannot switch to Premium Yearly product in Android account since there is no such thing as subscription groups? They can only cancel their product?And does this mean that we would have to create a screen in our Android app to handle the situation if the user wanted to change from monthly to yearly? My app is react native. Is the functionality to do this in the react native purchases library or should I be using the RevenueCat’s API?

Some RENEWAL webhook events are missing (at least in Sandbox)

Hei there.We are getting closer and closer to finally launch the app :)But yesterday we found that not all RENEWAL events are send to our server.For one test purchase I got 8 Emails from Google (initial purchase, 6 renewing and cancelling)In the RC Dashboard I only see 3 events for this user, INITIAL_PURCHASE, RENEWAL, CANCELLATION.In a previous test I got 4 events from RC, this time there were 2 RENEWAL events inbetween INITIAL_PURCHASE and CANCELLATION.Why is this happening? And a Bonus question is about the BILLING_ISSUE and the CANCELLATION events. When the subscription ends, like in this case because the user did not pay anymore, shouldn’t there be both events fired? Or do they just show up as one event in the RC dashboard?

How do I link purchase made by the user without login in my backend?

The question is for an iOS app -  My setup is that I am using my backend to give access to “Pro” features through the API and I am using Revenue cat to process the payment. Sign up comes after the purchase is made and it is optional to the user. I want to understand how I should give access from the backend to users who are making a purchase but do not sign up? This approach should also work when the user comes back and restores purchase after uninstalling the app.
