PurchaseParams.Builder(this, aPackage) usage

Hello, I just started adding a subscription to an android app using java for the first time.Following the getting started guide, I got to the “Making a purchase” section. I want to use the code example from this section in my app but there is one parameter I’m not sure where is coming from.This is the code:Purchases.getSharedInstance().purchase( new PurchaseParams.Builder(this, aPackage).build(), new PurchaseCallback() { @Override public void onCompleted(@NonNull StoreTransaction storeTransaction, @NonNull CustomerInfo customerInfo) { if (customerInfo.getEntitlements().get(<my_entitlement_identifier>).isActive()) { // Unlock that great "pro" content } } @Override public void onError(@NonNull PurchasesError purchasesError, boolean b) { // No purchase } });The missing parameter is aPackage in the second line. ios app released but products not showing up even after 72 hours

our in app subscriptions was working in develepment and testflight till we got approved on the app storenow it only works in the debug version the app status is ready for sale and all the products are approved the app has been released for 72 hours but the products still come empty i know it may take up to 24 hours for the products to show up but 72 hours is a concerning as i have not seen any one say it took this long is there a way to check if something is wrong or if we are missing any configration ?

How to handle fake signups with refunds

Hi everyone,we had recently the case that some user registred 20 times in our app, bought in app purchases for each account and canceled the purchase afterwards on google. This worked pretty fine for him (no idea why google doesn´t realize this) and is pretty bad for us since we had costs serving the user but receive nothing since the user has canceld the in app purchase.Unfortunately it´s a no-go to let the user wait 2h or 2days (still not sure what is correct) unitl he receives his purchase.How does the revenue community handle this kind of problem?

In app purchases work fine on iOS, but getting the following error on android: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'INAPP'

Why testing in-app-purchase is working on physical devices and not working on virtual?

Im using app subscriptions for long time but it is my first time I’m trying to test the IAP on a virtual device. Testing the android version on a virtual Pixel 7 pro (api 33) and Pixel 7 (api 34), the flow is working normally as expected until I get “ Something went wrong”, “Error code 3”  however using the same testing account, the same code is working fine on a physical device.  Im using flutter on a macbook device. I’m sure the Play store is updated on virtual devices.

Understanding refunds & Backend data processing

Inb4 great platform and docs ✋Hi, I’m almost finished with my iOS app and i’m at the point where i want to integrate in-app purchases. So far so good with settings up my project in revenuecat. My in app purchases is a common case of ​​​​​consumables - coin packages non-consumable - lifetime access auto-renewal subscriptions - silver / gold - monthly / yearlyI’m using firestore and cloud functions as db and backend, and i’ve also set up the revenuecat extension for firebase.  And let’s say on the user profile in firebase I have a field calledactive_subscription = silver / gold / free / lifetime Even though i’ve read lots of article about this, official documentation, examples etc, I still have some questions about certain flows especially Refunds I’m not sure how to handle them. If a refund is accepted by apple for a transaction, the cancellable event is triggered for the web hooks? if that is true, then in my backend hook i’ll update the profile active_subscription? then what’s the poi

Adding RevenueCat to a new project that built okay without RevenueCat. I’ve tried the project IOS 17 & 16 with RevenueCat. Billing permissions is not being added after building

Webhooks documentation seems incomplete

From webhook docs: With webhooks integrated, you can:Remind subscribers of the benefits of your app when they decide to unsubscribe, or let them know when there are billing issues   And… that’s it. No more bullet points. Is that really all RC webhooks are for? Feels like someone accidentally trimmed the list of use cases. I’m looking to change my users documents in my database after certain events: subscription, cancellation, etc. Am I looking in the right place? PS: Now, I’m pretty sure I’m looking in the right place, but hopefully the team can take this feedback to improve that particular section of the docs.

Help! The iOS App Doesn't Reflect the Status When the Subscription Expires

During testing, when the subscription expires, the user still appears to have premium status in the iOS app, even though the RevenueCat server has already updated its status. The app seems to remain in premium status until I close and reopen it multiple times.I understand this might be an issue with my app. I've implemented a ViewModel and set it to refresh when the subscription status changes. However, it doesn't recognize when the subscription has expired.How can I address this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions?

I use RevenueCat in my app, I wanted to know how I can proceed to connect with Stripe through payment links, in the Stripe form I have a custom field where the user enters his code, the one necessary for RevenueCat to pick up the user (USER ID). Any idea how I can do that?

Granting Free Access to Non-Subscribed + Subscribed Users

Hi all - hope everyone is doing well!In our app, we have premium access available to users via in-app subscriptions. We are now introducing a ‘promo-code’ system which allows users who are both subscribed/not subscribed to redeem free premium access for a certain duration (1 week, 1 month, etc).For users who are not subscribed, we can simply grant them promotional access through the RevenueCat SDK. For users who are subscribed, the effect should be that their next billing date gets delayed by a certain duration. Our current approach is to transfer them onto a Promotional Offer within their existing product if they are on iOS, and transfer them onto a new product if they are on Android. In both cases, this promotional offer, and alternative Android product have an initial free period.Is this the correct approach to achieve this functionality? I am concerned that by doing this, a user will lose out on their already purchased subscription? For example, If i pay monthly, and have 3 weeks u

I don’t always want to have to develop features on my physical device and obviously we can’t interact with the Simulator on iOS, related to getting offerings for paywalls…what’s the suggested workaround to avoid having to set a subscription in development on simulator?

Clarification on pricing information with regards to internationalization

Hi there, I currently have some products that are available at certain price points (i.e. $1.00, $2.00, $3.00, etc.) However, when presented to users of other countries, the IAP prices that show up in `offerings.current.availablePackages.map((p) => p.product.price)` show up as the local currency values. One workaround that I can think of is to use the `title` of the product (which I included the USD price on) to parse out the USD price that corresponds with the product, but was wondering if there was any other way? Also on the webhook side, if they purchased a package in their local currency for 4.99 CAD (which corresponds to my $3.49USD IAP), what would I get on the event side? I know there is a `price` field that is supposed to be the price in USD. Will that give me $3.49 or will it just do a direct currency conversion and end up with some approximate amount like $3.60 or something?In the end, I want all the tracking to be done in USD

Syncing Backend with User's IAP Subscription Status in Flutter Projec

Subscriptions across devices

I have implemented RevenueCat in my app and am testing the restore functionality across multiple devices. I use a device identifier as the RevenueCat user ID. This is a UUID generated when I first authenticate the app on first run.When I restore the subscription on another device, the subscription is transferred to the new app user id, and the old device no longer has a subscription to the content. I can get it back by hitting restore in the old device, but then the new device does not get the content too  The Apple guidelines state:“Subscriptions must work on all of the user’s devices where the app is available.”How do I ensure that the subscription is available on all devices which the user owns, and has the app installed on? I don’t want to have the person perform a login step.

None of the products registered in the RevenueCat dashboard could be fetched from App Store Connect (or the StoreKit Configuration file if one is being used).”

Setting up RevenueCat with and without Authenticated Users

I am trying to integrate RevenueCat into my Flutter app. Regarding Authentication I have the following setup:I have a LocalAuthId, which is created when the app is installed. I think this is comparable to the AnonymousId from RevenueCat, but I’d rather be in full control and also I’m using this ID in other parts of the app. I also have the option for users to either log in to an existing account, or create a new account. In both cases the user would then also have a ServerAuthId, which is connected with their database account in supabase.The expected behavior is the following:Upon installing the app, the user is not signed in to the supabase server, and therefor only has a LocalAuthId for now. I call PurchasesConfiguration(<key>)..appUserID = myLocalAuthId; to configure RevenueCat on the device. The user should be able to purchase a subscription, which would then be linked to this device.Then, if the user decides to create an account, I believe that the purchase should be transfe
