How to prevent Google Play Account Sharing

Hi,I am using RevenueCat to handle google play subscriptions on my app. I use React Native. I am bit confused about sharing subscribed google play accounts. I use firebase email authentication.User A logs in with their credentials and gets subscribed. User B uses User A’s google account and logs in his account and app shows as subscribed as well. Documentation shows I can handle it with Restore Purchases but I am so confused how to do that. Could anyone please help me with this please? Receipt for universal purchase returning different original purchase date

A user reached out to me this weekend saying that they purchased the app awhile ago and some legacy features that should be unlocked for them isn’t on one of their devices. My app grants legacy access based on the purchase date and original purchase version, similar to the way RevenueCats iOS example shows it being done. The user sent me info from each device and it shows that one device believes the first install was recent, and the other a few years ago. Is it really possible for receipts across devices for a universal purchase could be different? Or could there be some kind of issue like this if the user was part of a Testflight beta?  If the receipts can be different, what is the best way to handle granting legacy features? Should I just come in on RevenueCat and grant lifetime for them, or is there a better way of detection on iOS?

In-App Purchase promo code test Prior to Release

My iOS app has recently passed Apple's review process and is currently in the status of "Pending Developer Release." Prior to the official release, I wanted to test the in-app purchasing feature, so I issued a promo code shortly after the app was approved. Through this promo code, I downloaded my app, but unfortunately ran into an issue. When I attempted an in-app purchase, the screen remained in a "loading" state. This issue was not present in my TestFlight version, where the iOS payment sheet typically displayed promptly.I'm uncertain whether this could be an issue with my code, or if there is a certain waiting period required after approval before the in-app purchase functionality can be tested, even with the app downloaded via a promotion code.With these concerns, I'm feeling quite apprehensive about making my app public. I would greatly appreciate if someone could provide some insight or guidance on testing in-app purchases in the actual production environment before public releas

Why do I often see billing errors minutes after a trial conversion?

I regularly find that a billing error is triggered within minutes after a user converts to a subscription from a trial. This is problematic because we send emails based on billing error events, and in many cases this is one of the first communications our users receive from us. Any idea why the billing error could be happening so soon after the subscription payment is successfully charged?

We implemented iOS offer codes, but not with revenueCat properly. So now subscriptions are being read, but the total paid / revenue is $0, when in reality it’s not.Is there a way to custom edit individual entries?

I use play Store id instead of RevenueCat id. Is it corect?

Hello my subscription id is lotto_world_pro and base id is lotto-world-pro-monthly. in revenuecat my id for this product is lotto_world_pro:lotto-world-pro-monthly. When i use the code below in flutter if i use revenuecat id i receive a product not found error but if i use just lotto_world_pro(sub id) it works well and revenuecat sees my transactions. Am i doing it right? Implementing Developer Determined Offer with Android

I’m trying to apply a developer-determined offer in the app.Using react-native-purchases 6.0.0.I’m able to fetch the Offerings using `Purchases.getOfferings()` and I can see the discount as an option in what is returned. packageType: 'MONTHLY', product: { discounts: [ { cycles: 12, periodNumberOfUnits: 1, priceString: '$2.99', period: 'P1M', price: 2.9899999999999998, periodUnit: 'MONTH', identifier: '12_month_25_percent' } ],However, I am unsure on how to then apply this offer.purchasePackage and purchaseSubscriptionOption each don’t seem to offer an option to apply the discount.purchaseDiscountedProduct  and purchaseDiscountedPackage say they only apply only to iOS.So how should I apply a developer determined offer in android when making a purchase?https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/google-play-offers#eligibility-criteria

Expected behavior for Testflight testing

Hi all,When testing monthly subscriptions for an IOS app in Testflight, I have created 30+ test users via gmail accounts. Each time I have a new user create an account on my app and subscribe, the Sandbox data in Revenuecat switches all the Customer info to that new ID (uid in Firebase), including backdating activity. Is that expected behavior, or should each new account (aka new firebase UID) have it’s own identity in the Revenuecat Sandbox, so I can accurately test? Here is some example history for the current user. Does this look normal? I did have the user logout of their app for less than 24 hours but they did not “opt out” of renewal.Also see the transfer of the subscription. Is that how the testing works?

Can I use Revenuecat webhooks in development?

Some context I am creating an application that already has an existing web app. The web apps payments are done via Stripe. The mobile app I am building will have payments done via Revenuecat. I am setting a property on my user object to let me know which platform the user has used in order to pay for a subscription. Why am I doing this?If they have payed using stripe on web then I need to let them have access to all premium features on the mobile app. They should not have to pay for a subscription on the mobile app as well. Stripe makes this very easy with their Webhooks. When a user subscribes, a Webhook event gets sent to the backend that tells the user object to update the subscriptionPlatform to “web”. This way I know that the user has subscribed on web, should get access to all premium features on mobile too without duplicate subscribing, and should be directed to the web app to handle anything to do with their subscription. Stripe also allows all of this to be tested in developme

I previously added and enabled the Google Play Android Developer API to a Google project I created. I also created a service account and correctly set the permissions for app and financial access. Web Payment Alternatives Methods

Hi,We are planning to integrate a payment gateway to our app’s web version however Stripe isn’t supported in our country (Philippines). I can’t find relevant documentation for the SDK for any sort of postback or equivalents.Since we are already using RevenueCat, is there a way we can proceed without switching to another IAP platform entirely?I’d love to hear from you if you have any suggestions (aside from opening a Stripe Atlas account).

Need help with implementing promo codes for subscription discounts

I'm currently facing an issue with implementing promo codes in my app. Currently, my app has only one subscription, but we would like to provide different "promo codes" that offer discounts on the subscription based on the code entered. After reading the documentation on promo codes for Android, I discovered that the Play Console promo codes don't exactly meet our requirements. They only allow for providing free trials to users and don't directly support subscription discounts. However, I came across the "subscription offers" feature and had an idea of creating a subscription offer with the criteria "developer determined." This way, I could create an offer with a discount and maintain a list of valid codes within the app. When a user enters a valid code on the app paywall, the offer with the discounted price should be applied to their purchase. With this plan in mind, I created a developer-determined offer yesterday. Today, I'm trying to find a way to retrieve that offer within the app

Potential Subscription Error due to pending developer release

Hello all, I recently released an update for an app I created and to ensure subscriptions worked I gave myself a promo code while the app was in pending developer release.Rather than using a promo code I made an actual subscription purchase which went through fine. My bank account was debited and everything was unlocked. I have now a few weeks later reinstalled the app and no subscription can be found when restoring subscriptions. It shows as active in my phone settings subscriptions and when I try to make a new subscription in my app the ios popup says I am already subscribed. Has anyone ever heard of an error where when making real purchases with a pending release it can prevent your receipt from validating thus making your Revenue Cat subscription not work?

Managing Subscriptions across Multiple Applications

Hello, I'd like to know if you manage subscriptions on several applications (iOS / Android). Let me explain: I have 3 applications (A, B, and C)On all 3, I'd like to offer the same subscriptions. Each of the apps has its own functions (but they all use the same user account), and I'd like if the user is already subscribed to A, I'd like to offer him a discount for B. If he takes the package A and B, he'd also get a discount for C. Is this possible?I'm at your disposal if you need more details in my explanations.

How to manually grant entitlements to users on dedicated iOS bundle ID in sandbox?

We have a separate bundle ID for internal testing for our iOS app, which we use to test upcoming versions of our app for QA and with beta testers. The bundle ID for this is added as another app to the our RevenueCat production app account.When designating users with premium entitlements, these entitlements are not propagated, so that we have to rely on other measures for testing premium-related functionality. It’d be great though if this same mechanism would also work here.I feel like we might be holding it wrong. How can we fix that? What is the best practice for handling dedicated bundle ID?

Usage of App Store IAP and Connect API Keys

Hi, Should I use the same single App Store Connect API Key and In-App Purchase Key for all of my apps (so there will be one App Store Connect API Key and one In-App Purchase Key in Apple Dashboard)?Project A:iOS App AProject B:iOS App BProject C:iOS App Cand so on…If yes, I generated and downloaded the keys from Apple once, but shortly after uploading them into my first RevenueCat project, I deleted them. This app is currently live on App Store Connect, and everything is working as it should. If I revoke the keys I used in this app, generate new ones on Apple, and then replace them in the RevenueCat project, will everything be fine and keep working? Or am I not able to change them now? Of course, I will save these keys this time and use them in every future app that will include in-app purchases.I am new to IAP in apps. It's probably a trivial question, but even after reading the official documentation, I am still unsure about it.
