Experiment subscription vs. consumable based paywalls

I’d like to test if my app works better with subscription based or consumable based model.In subscription-based model, users will be presented a Paywall Screen to subscribe weekly to be a “premium” user, so they can play unlimited games.In consumable-based model, users will be presented a Paywall Screen to purchase X number of games. When they play X number of games, they will be presented another Paywall to top-up.Is RevenueCat Experiments suitable for this use case?  Couple of points I’m curious are: Does Experiment Results work as expected with different monetisation models? Especially LTV is the concern point. With the nature of the Experiment, I need to show “Remaining Games”, “How To Get Refund”, “Current Subscription” etc. information in different screens. This means I need to know the bucketing value of the user. Does RevenueCat Experiments provide this? (I guess I can check current offering in different screens to get the experiment bucketing value and show correct UX)Thank yo

Synchronize purchases with own backend best practices

We have a special business/premium model, and we need help migrating our model to a flutter app which uses IAP.Currently, our system works as follows:Users can purchase "packages" through Stripe. Each package contains one or more "digital accesses" and we send a package redemption ID via email. On our site, users can redeem the package (once they receive the email), and we credit the digital accesses to their account.Digital access has the following properties:moduleName - The user gets access to this moduledurationInDay - From the redemption, this will be the duration. I think the following would be the best way to extend our business model with IAP:We consider every successful subscription-related transaction as a package purchase, but this time the user does not need to redeem the package. How do I setup a product so that user could subscribe to same product multiple times.

We have a service where user could purchase multiple subscriptions.How do I set up a product so that a user could subscribe to the same product multiple times.Let me give you an example.When a user subscribe to one subscription which is for $100 a year.That user could create a group on our platform and use the pro features.Now, the same user could create multiple groups by subscribing to the same product multiple times. How do I achieve this with revenue cat on iOS?

Migration iOS app to Revenuecat without server? Current receipts are validated inside the app.

If you have a current app that does not use a server to validate receipts (Yes I know this is not reccomended), how can iOS purchases be migrated to revenuecat?  If the user initiates a restore purchase would this happen: App checks revenuecat > sees no customer data > revenuecat checks apple > sees purchase > revenuecat creates customer info > sends info back to app.

Offerings are empty in developer build on ios but work fine in sandbox on testflight

I’ve done everything described here and it’s working fine in sandbox but when we published application into app store, the app store version didn’t work, in the logs we got this error:Could not find SKProduct for ( "subscription_30", "subscription_360", "subscription_180") There is a problem with your configuration in App Store Connect. Is there any plan for a "subscription expiring soon" webhook

Hi, I was wondering if there were any plans to build a webhook that triggers when a subscription is coming to an end. Maybe around the same time as the app stores trigger their subscription expiring emails. Our business would find this really useful for sending our own comms. Thanks, Lydia

Webhook Timeout too short for AWS Lambda cold start

I’m using the Webhook integration together with a AWS Lambda to receive updates about subscriptions. I found out that, if the Lambda is not warmed up, the RevCat test call times out after 3 seconds. That is not enough to fire up the Lambda from cold start, although I’m using NodeJS which is probably one of the fastest Lambda options. Would it be possible to increase the timeout for your webhook integration?

Why do I get WARNING "Unknown subscription length for package"

I am trying to get rid of 9 warnings from debug logs but I don’t know why I am getting them nor how/where to fix it.I have 9, one month - auto-renewing subscriptions configured in AppStore.The 9 warnings occur right after SKProductsRequest, but don’t seem to causing any real problems??It seems that it doesn’t know that my subscriptions are all 1 month subscription length? But when sandbox testing it shows that they renew and my configured products in the AppStore are definitely setup for 1 month.This is how I have my Offerings setup with the identifier “subscriptions” as seen in the 9 warnings…  Any idea why I am getting these warnings?? “WARN: ⚠️ Unknown subscription length for package 'subscriptions': PackageType.custom. App Store rejection due to offer codes

Our app was recently rejected from the app store due to violated term 3.1.1 around in-app purchases. With the rejection the explanation was that we enable promotional codes outside of the app, but the screen shot attached is of the in-app purchase modal - which we trigger using `Purchase.presentCodeRedemptionSheet()`. On Android, we have a custom built promotional code sheet that triggers and we think they may be rejecting our app because of this, but we are unsure how they would know.  Has anyone experienced this before? Any advice?

QuickStart guide step 8: got error "RevenueCat.OfferingsManager.Error error 1"

I’m trying to set up RevenueCat, following the QuickStart guide.My IAP on App Store Connect has the status “Ready to Submit”. I’ve reached step 8: https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/getting-started#8-displaying-available-products But I get the following error. Issue with Google Play Store setup

Hi, We are having issue with the Google Play Store setup.We’re seeing the following error: Invalid Play Store credentials.We’ve checked all the posts already regarding the issue.But we’ve also noticed that the RevenueCat Service Account doesn’t seem to be correctly linked to Google Cloud. We’ve followed the documentation and already granted access to the service account on the Play Store but it is still not appearing in the permission section of the service account on Google Cloud. Do you know where this issue could come from? Thank you,Damien

Understanding "Restore Purchase"

So I understand the basic idea of how the restore functionality works, but I dont see how this could become a problem in my application and thus wanted to ask if I am missing something here. My users can only sign in with their phone number and alle purchases are only possible after a login.Let’s say that a user changes phone, the user will get a new phone and sign in with the new phone but the same phone number - As the purchases are attached to the Play/Apple account and the purchases are also saved on their accounts within their app, they could switch phone and not lose any functionality. Is there any scenario missing here where I would need “Restore Purchases” ? Apple rejected by production app due this functionality being missing, but I dont see, why I would need this.

Which webhook event is sent by RevenueCat when BILLING_ERROR is fixed by user?

I am using the webhook system to keep my user's subscription up to date and if there is a BILLING_ERROR I need to set some properties on the User object in my database so that the user is reminded when they sign into the app to fix the billing error.If there is a billing issue the webhook "CANCELLATION" webhook event is sent with the cancel_reason of "BILLING_ERROR".This is all working fine for helping me to alert the user when they have a billing issue but how does my server get notified when the user fixes their billing issue so that I can update my database accordingly?I was looking at the webhooks and it looks like it would be the UNCANCELLATION webhook event but I don't see anywhere in the documentation confirming this??Also would there be a UNCANCELLATION.reason on the event object?Does anyone know if this is the case?

StoreProduct.localizedPriceString in USD

Hi,I am an absolute beginner when it comes to using the Revenue Cat SDK. So this might be a stupid question.  I have set up my product in Appstore,  Revenue Cat and installed the SDK.  When testing the API I get all of the information about the product back correctly in the app, apart from all prices are in USD ( hoped for SEK, app localisation Sweden).  I have tested both in a simulator and on a physical device( logged in to my account).After reading a few blog posts it seems that this (prices in USD) is what should be expected as long as the app is in a test environment but not a problem once the app is in production. So my question is have I understood this correctly or have I done something wrong?

I'm trying to add a free trial benefit to Android in-app billing. Is there an option to choose whether to offer benefits or not? We're trying to add a free trial benefit, not a promotion.What if you want to distinguish whether or not to give benefits based on specific conditions for the same product?I can set the Google console to give benefits only when I am a new subscriber, but I want to choose whether or not to give benefits in other cases.

Does the getCustomerInfo function work periodically in a non-sandbox environment?

Documentation indicates that getCustomerInfo is updated every 5 minutes in a sandbox environment, and similarly, in a sandbox environment, the maximum number of updates may be limited even for subscriptions. But does it work well in production? In other words, is it OK to call getCustomerInfo every time the user tries to access the content to check eligibility? ++The SDK caches the user's subscription information to reduce your app's reliance on the network. Users who unlock entitlements will be able to access them even without an internet connection. The SDK will update the cache if it's older than 5 minutes, but only if you call getCustomerInfo(), make a purchase, or restore purchases, so it's a good idea to call getCustomerInfo() any time a user accesses premium content.   I read the above. Does getCustomerInfo mean that it is automatically updated every 5 minutes in case of purchase or restoration without calling it separately, and if not, it should be called and used every time to

App Review Rejection - Always validate receipts against the production App Store first.

Hello everyone, I have a photo filtering app, and it was working fine for few months. However, on my last update ı got a rejection due to the following screenshot.Between the last approved update, I only added some new images. I changed nothing about to app’s functionality. My guess is that when you accept the In-App Subscription deal it takes some time ( 4-5 seconds) to approve the transaction and close the Pay Wall Sheet. I don’t know why this delay is happening but this must be their cause of rejection.I am new to the iOS development and I constructed the In-App Purchases part of my app by watching the videos of RevenueCat. iOS offerings empty only after successful app store review (testing with promo code)

Our iOS app works ok in TestFlight but subscription offerings is coming back empty once the app is approved by apple. Our steps arePost to TestFlight prior to review  Launch app and go to subscription screen - works fine Send for Apple Review (set to manual release) App passes Apple Review Download with a promo code Launch app and go to subscription screen - no products! Try restoring purchases - no products!Obviously we’d like to make sure this works before we manually release, is there anything that might be stopping the offerings/products showing after the Apple Review. Is it the promo code? WatchOS App (no companion app) - Offerings/Purchases work in xcode simulator but not on Watch device or Testflight app
