Google Analytics integration for web events

Hi, We are using RevenueCat to centralize all payment-related events for our app and our website. For web, we connected Stripe, and it’s working well. We can see the web events activity in RevenueCat Dashboard and Amplitude but we would like to track them in Google Analytics and we can’t find a proper way to do it. We have tested the Segment integration but Google Analytics is not attributing the events to users. It is just sending all the events from RevenueCat (app+web) without the right parameters (i.e: browser = segment.io instead of the right browser, no source attribution,...). Are we missing something or is it just not possible to send web RevenueCat events to Google Analytics? Thanks for your help

Stripe events not being sent to Segment

Hi there! When we first set up Stripe subscriptions, we verified that they appear in Segment, but now no events are appearing in Segment. Could it be due to the fact that we’re using a coupon / free trial setup (whereas our initial tests did not use coupons)? Why are Stripe free trial events showing up in RevenueCat (as $0.00 purchases) but not in Segment? This is incredibly important for our business analytics, and I was very surprised to see that it isn’t working as expected.

Firestore 1mb size limit

Firstore has a 1mb size limit. RevenueCat’s firestore extension creates a single customer record which holds all the purchases the user makes. There is a potential for a user to make so many purchases over time it would exceed the 1mb limit of firestore documents. How does Revenuecat handle this situation?

User's entitlements are missing immediately after a TRANSFER event

I am attempting to keep my database up to date with my users’ subscription states via RevenueCat’s webhooks. When my server receives an event from RC, it extracts the `app_user_id` and immediately hits the /subscribers API endpoint to fetch the new subscription info for that user and save it to my database. This seems to be working for new subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations.I am running into an issue with the `TRANSFER` event type, however. I can trigger this event by logging out one of my users, logging into a new account, and restoring purchases. The Apple ID remains the same throughout, and I correctly log in/out to the Purchases SDK at the correct times, so RC (correctly) transfers the entitlements over to the new user ID.I receive the `TRANSFER` event via webhook, and handle it as a special case. Instead of simply extracting and refreshing the `app_user_id` (which isn’t present), I check the user IDs in `transferred_from` and `transferred_to`. The user IDs are then sent as

How do I change eventTime parameter that sent from RevenueCat to AppsFlyer change to UTC?

Revenuecats Facebook Subscibe Events arent usable in IOS 14+ campaigns if ATT prompt is not accepted

I want to optimize a facebook campaign for the "Subscibe" event (user purchased abo).The Revenuecat Facebook integration made that event available in the Facebook Conversion Api, but it doesn't seem to work for IOS users who did not accept the ATT prompt. Here @tina claimed that the events are still being sent to Facebook but without the IDFA, if so are the events still maybe unusable for the Campaign because Facebook doesnt know how to map the Subscribe Event to the according Campaign perhaps?

Customer.io Integration

Hi,  I rely on RevenueCat to send start trial, trial converted, and other Track events to Customer.io (my CRM tool). Currently, I use RevenueCat’s Segment integration: RevenueCat sends the events to Segment, which forwards them to Customerio.  I’m trying to cut out all Segment use cases in my tech stack because it doesn’t seem worth it (there are direct integrations in most cases). I made a post about this on SubClub.  How do I replace this connection? Does RevenueCat have a direct integration with Customerio? I don’t see it in RevenueCat’s list of integrations. If RevenueCat doesn’t integrate directly with Customerio, can I use RevenueCat’s Webhooks to do this? So I could send the events via RevenueCat’s webhooks to my own webhook, then my webhook would integrate with Customerio? Does RevenueCat plan to release a direct integration with Customerio soon? If so, maybe I’ll leave the Segment connection in place for now, and replace it with the direct connection ASAP.  Thanks! Toby

Slack webhook returns response 400

Good afternoon.I have set up the Slack Webhook as per the instructions but whenever I send a test webhook or also with the test purchases in the sandbox, I always get a response 400.The curl hello world from the Slack page works perfectly and I can see the message in my Slack channel.Perhaps something has changed in the way Slack expects the messages to be formatted? In the sent json I don’t see the “text” field that I see in the Slack test webhook.Thanks a lot.

RevenueCat doesn't know about VAT in some countries

Platform: AndroidStore: Google PlayProduct Type: Monthly SubscriptionRevenueCat Purchases Version: com.revenuecat.purchases:purchases:5.1.0 A customer of our app from Moldova (Republic of Moldova) reported today that the price displayed in the app (9.49 USD) was not the price that he ended up paying (11.39 USD).  Looking at the email receipt he sent us from Google, the extra 1.90 USD is labeled as Tax. I went in the Google Play Console where we can set our price for each country, and the price there is 9.49 USD → no sign of any VAT. I did a Google Search and the default VAT for Moldova is 20%, which matches the extra Tax from the transaction.I then checked RevenueCat, including the webhook for that specific transaction, and there is no trace of tax. The price is 9.49 and also, in the webhook, the `tax_percentage` field is 0. Then I found out that this is the case for all transactions made from that country, RevenueCat doesn’t know about the tax there. The biggest problem now is that fo

Send events to multiple Amplitude projects

Is it possible to send events to more than one Amplitude project? I have different Amplitude projects for iOS and Android, so I would like to send all RevenueCat events to both projects. However, I only see the option to add one API key on the RevenueCat API integration page.

Not able to connect RevenueCat to the Play Console - Credentials Issue

Hello! I created the Service Account following all the instructions in the documentation, I've integrated the json file on RevenueCat correctly and more than 36 hours have passed (4 days have passed since). After some trials I'm still getting the credentials issue on Android, whereas on iOS everything works like a charm. Could you help me understand where the problem is? I had a before Christmas due date for this integration but this is taking longer than I thought unfortunately.Here is the code I’m getting:ERROR(30208): 🤖‼️ There was a credentials issue. Large data discrepancies (MMP vs Ad Network)

On August 10th, there was a noticeable decrease in ATT reported installs attributed to Facebook, dropping from an average of 70 installs to merely 15 installs per day.By August 25th, another decline was observed in reported SKAN installs on Facebook. This was accompanied by an increase in CPIs and a rise in the ratio of non-attributed installs on AppsFlyer. Interestingly, when looking at the blended numbers, there was no significant change, and there was also no surge in organic traffic as per App Store Connect data.Fast forward to October 14th, there was a campaign relaunch with the Singular MMP. This move saw a boost in SKAN reported installs and a commendable drop in CPIs from $22 down to $11. However, these numbers still weren't at the desired benchmark of approximately $5. Despite increasing the budget, the ATT installs did not see any increase, hovering consistently between 15-20 daily installs.That is the situation overview. Integrating with OneSignal

Web purchase work flow?

Can some one outline the workflow process for a subscription purchase on a website then redeeming it on an iOS app, for example unlocking a feature? I understand the purchase on iOS workfowiOS app initiate purchase > revenuecat > ios appstore to process payment > revenuecat > iOS app to unlock feature What is a web flow look like? , especially one with a stripe payment process? I know a user ID will have to be set on a website.

Error: The receipt is not valid in Android Sandbox testing

I’ve successfully integrated subscription product fro iOS. But when I try to make purchase of a subscription product, The below error is returned: Error: The receipt is not valid. What’s the problem? How can I solve this?

Google Analytics integration not working

Hi. I’m trying to get the Firebase/Google Analytics integration working, but I’m struggling. I have populated the integration config form, and selected the enable sandbox events checkbox. Since I did this, two real users made purchases, triggering the integration and I can see their payloads at the bottom of the integration config screen. Both events were rc_trial_start and they received 204 responses.When I look in Google Analytics, I don’t see any mention of rc_trial_start and no revenue is recorded against the app. The data streams in Google Analytics appear to be set up correctly. Should I be performing additional configuration inside of GA or should things just start happening as my data comes through?Finally, I have made sandbox purchases with my iOS simulator and StoreKit. I can see my sandbox user data in RevenueCat and I can see they have a Firebase App Instance Id attribute. However, this sandbox purchase is not listed in the log at the bottom of the integration config form.

Revenuecat Facebook Ads Attribution Integration without IDFA

I would like to apply Facebook Ads Integration to track subscriptions generated from Facebook Ad campaigns. My question is even if the ad tracking has been disabled by the user meaning revenuecat cannot collect idfa as identifier, yet is the attribution cycle completed accurately? I mean does the attribution integration without idfa let me see how much revenue the campaign generates precisely on facebook reports? Is facebook anonymous id enough for tracking campaign’s revenue?Thanks.

Subscription not showing up in AppsFlyer

Hi, I recently conducted a test where I installed via an AppsFlyer Onelink and bought a subscription. In AF, the install is attributed correctly, but the subscription event never showed up (nor the associated revenue). The subscription event and revenue is sent via the RevenueCat integration with AF. Here’s a screenshot of the payload coming from RevenueCat:   Why didn't the revenue show up in AppsFlyer?  A few final notes: The subscription was a test subscription (conducted via Apple's Sandbox).  Notice the event name in RevenueCat is "renewal" (not "subscribe"). That's simply because I've used my Apple ID to purchase test subscriptions before.  The way we have the AppsFlyer SDK set up, we give it our own userIds to use. We give the same userId to RevenueCat (and all our tools). You'll see this userId in the RevenueCat payload as "customer_user_id".  Notice that the RevenueCat payload doesn't contain the IDFA. Perhaps this is the reason the subscription event isn't attributed correctl

Sometimes events are not sent to Adjust

Hello,I seems that sometimes RC doesn’t seem to send the data for events to Adjust, even if the AdjustId is set.We discovered some discrepancies between our analytics and some of our users don’t have the AdjustId set (might be on our side), but then we have this case where it is set and still RC didn’t send it.Could somebody from the team help and  have a deeper look at it? Thank you.

OneSignal Integration - OriginalAppId, OneSignalId, PlayerId, externalUserId?

We want to integrate RC with OneSignal and are facing some questions we do not find clear answers in the documentation.(https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/onesignal)The main issue is that OneSignal does not have a combined “User”. They only have “PlayerIds” targeting specific devices and channels.Our Users use the app on multiple devices and platforms. (iPhone, iPad, Mac)We use anonymous user ids for RC and when a user restores their purchases, RC is creating aliases to link the data together.When we set the $onesignalId with the SDK, it is a PlayerId, meant to target push notifications to one specific device. So RC Subscription Events are only set to this PlayerId with the API Integration.If a user is using multiple devices, he has multiple PlayerIds. But RC is only adding tags to the one set as $onesignalId.To use OneSignal Journeys, we need to set the externalUserId.We can use the originalAppId from RevenueCat here.Sadly there is no detailed documentation on how to use Journeys and Pu

Subscription updates not reflected in Firestore

Hi, I am in the process of finishing my integration with RevenueCat and having an issue where the subscription events are not updated in the user collection.StackVue.js + CapacitorJS + FirebaseWhat’s happeningSubscriptions are successful User collection is updated with RevenueCat data (I’m using the same collection as my normal user collection) I cancel the subscription in Google Play successfully I receive the event in Firestore User collection is not updatedUser collection’s entitlements and subscriptions sections after cancellation   The only steps I’ve not completed is connecting up to Google Analytics but otherwise I think I’m setup correctly.Is this not working or is my expectations of how this integration works incorrect?I was expecting that when a user unsubscribes that the unsubscribe_detected_at would be updated and when the sub expires that the subscriptions and entitlements would update accordingly.Regards,Chris
