Google Play Subscription Changes: when will RevenueCat support the new subscription structure?

Google has just announced changes to how they handle subscriptions: https://developer.android.com/google/play/billing/compatibility and https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/12124625 While existing subscriptions will continue to work, there are new ways to create offers and even new (on Android) subscription types like prepaid. Does RevenueCat already have a timeline how and when all of this will be supported both in SDK and dashboard? FYI: I’m also seeing the following warning in our Play Store account - I guess RevenueCat is using the InAppProduct API: “You're using the InAppProduct API to manage subscriptions, which is no longer updated. Start using the new Subscriptions API to get new features including multiple base plans and offers, as well as prepaid plans.”

iOS SDK Bug: RCPurchases purchasePackage crash

Hi! We noticed a somewhat rare crash that we’ve only recently been able to reproduce. This affects all iOS SDK version up to 4.17.5 (the latest at the time of writing). Basically we get a hard crash on[[RCPurchases sharedPurchases] purchasePackage...];The call stack simply points to libobjc.A.dylib at objc_msgSend within our method that calls purchasePackage.We haven’t noticed this crash with the restorePurchasesWithCompletion call. The crash doesn’t happen with getOfferingsWithCompletion either. We were finally able to reproduce this crash in the past few days with our TestFlight builds (and ONLY with TestFlight builds). We are calling all 3 methods from a thread that is not the main thread. Since only purchasePackage crashes (and on Android there are no crashes at all on any of the methods when not called from the UI thread), we never considered this to be an issue. However, then we queued the call the the main thread in iOS like this:dispatch_async(dispatch_get_main_queue(), ^(void)

Guidance on handling expired subscriptions

I noticed when testing that my subscription expires pretty quickly. Subscription acceleration is vaguely explained in the docs (more details would be super helpful). App crashes on android with setup purchases

I have installed the lasted version of revenue cat in my expo app and all work fine in IOS but when I created a build to test on android it crashed with ```Your app just crashed. Test Restore Purchases in sandbox

Hi!I’m trying to test restoring Purchases in sandbox mode. My app does not identify users, and, by not having a login screen, every one of them has an anonymous App User ID.I purchased a consumable item inside the app, and, as this grants a “benefactor” entitlement, tried to restore the entitlement after uninstalling the app. This did not work.How can I ensure that an anonymous user can restore entitlements that are granted via consumable products? Unexpected behaviors when crossgrading from Google monthly legacy plan to the new unified Google yearly plan

Our team is currently integrating the option to cross-grade between monthly ↔ yearly subsctiptions.Most of our Android users are on old Google legacy subcription plans. Subscription works in testflight, not production. IAP approved for over 48 hours.

I am unable to load an IAP/subscription after it has been approved for over 48 hours. Left a comment on an older post, but wanted to make a second thread for visibility. (Hope that’s cool) If I run the app on simulator, a local device, or test flight everything loads perfect.Subscription has been approved for over 48 hours. Subscription loads fine on local/testflight. Filled out all agreements.App is in pending developer release. I downloaded the app from the app store with a generated code, and in app purchases do not work.I ran the production app and plugged my phone in to view the console. Still getting “Could not find SkProduct for ( “my_product_name”) There is a problem with your configuration”, but only in production. “my_product_name” is not in the actual log, I did not include my real product name. I was wondering if there is anything I could still be missing, or do I need to wait longer? The in app purchase was approved on Saturday at 11 AM. It is not Monday, 6:45 PM.Any help

This is typically due to a bug in StoreKit`.I was recently rejected from app store review due to this weird RevenueCat bug ("react-native-purchases": "5.13.0") that I sometimes experience.I believe that I have set up all of my code correctly, but when clicking on a subscription purchase (using the purchaseProduct method - `const purchase = await Purchases.purchaseProduct(identifier, null, Purchases.PURCHASE_TYPE.SUBS);`) the request can fail and throw the following error. “The receipt is not valid. The purchased product was missing in the receipt. This is typically due to a bug in StoreKit.” It seems that this error will happen in patches 5-10 times in a row, then once I see one success, they are all successful from there forward (the purchase modal shows up with the product, and the user can subscribe to my subscription). Now when I go back into the app, I cannot reproduce the bug as it will be

How do I check the user's eligibility for intro pricing and free trials on Android?

I have set up various products on play store and am able to fetch them successful via the Purchases.sharedInstance.getOfferingsWith function. Some of my products have introductory pricing and/or free trials. I have tried testing this functionality and it seems to work. The problem I am running into now is if I have a user that has made use of the free trial or intro pricing for the subscription, cancels the subscription, and then wants to resubscribe I don’t appear to have a way to tell that the user is not longer eligible for intro pricing or free trials. The only way to tell is only after the user has started to go through the play store billing flow, but I need to display the correct information about the product in my app’s UI.

Introprice returns wrong free trial number in Android - React Native Purchases SDK 6

Hi, I have been developing an app for iOS, and I can get the free trial as intro price in getOfferings response of the SDK. Now, I have upgraded to SDK 6 and trying to do the same on Android. The free trials are there in intro price, but they are returning wrong numbers. There are free trials as subscription options which have right number of days. Is this a bug or expected? Migration to RC 4.0: subscription status ignored in Testflight

I migrated my app to 4.0 of purchases-ios and released it on Testflight.When I install the app on a device with an active subscription, the subscription status is lost (with all the associated features).If I re-install the App Store version, the subscription status is back.Purchasing works correctly in Xcode / debug.Any idea what’s happening?Thanks

Entitlements randomly return empty causing unexpected subscription expiration

A growing number of our Android users are experiencing unexpected subscription expirations due to the PurchaserInfo.getEntitlements() returning empty incorrectly. The user will then use the restore functionally and PurchaserInfo.getEntitlements() will return correctly with their entitlements on the restore callback. Within the the next couple sessions the user will get 0 entitlements returned again and be forced to restore once again. This behavior does not seem to stop and the users are stuck in this loop. Background information:- Android- Confirmed users own entitlements in rev cat dashboard- RevCat Version: v3.3- We call Purchases.getSharedInstance().getPurchaserInfo() to verify subscription on every session

Is there support for proactive in-app purchase restore?

At WWDC 22, Apple released a session video about proactive in-app purchase restore. From what I understand, this is a way for an app to automatically restore a user’s purchase (e.g. after a re-installation) without them having to use a “Restore Purchases” button.I’m not sure if this is new or if this was supported all along, so my question is: Does the RevenueCat iOS SDK have support for this? I already found the syncPurchases function but I’m not sure whether it is the right API for the task.

Block Restores Not Working As Expected

This is the behavior I’m seeing (tested on iOS) when setting the Restore behavior to Block Restores.App store userA logs into our app as user1 user1 purhcases a monthly subscription user1 eventually cancels monthly subscription and it expires user2 logs in on the same device (i.e. still app store userA) user2 purchases monthly subscription, gets the ‘receiptAlreadyInUse’ error, HOWEVER, the purchase still went through successfully and user1’s purchase was restored.This feels like a bug that the purchase made it through even though the SDK returned an error.Also, the link to the documentation on restores is currently pointed to here which gives a 404.

Receipt files missing in simulator testing

Hi, I’m testing payments in my app. This has been working for several months as expected. Today however, when testing subscriptions in the iOS simulator I receive an error on `.purchasePackage` and `.restoreTransactions` saying this: `[Error: The receipt is missing.]` I’ve correctly included my StoreKit configuration in my build, and this was always previously working as expected. I recently upgraded to the new mac, and therefore the latest macOS.
