Unwanted behavior on Android when allowing purchase transfer

Platform: AndroidStore: Google PlayProduct Type: Monthly SubscriptionRevenueCat Purchases Version: com.revenuecat.purchases:purchases:5.1.0 Hi,I am facing a situation that I'm not sure how to properly handle, related to restore behavior. Up until now, our project had the "Restore behavior" option to "Block restores". Now, we want to start allowing users to restore their subscriptions. The problem is that the Android app has unwanted behavior if we turn that "Restore behavior" option to "Transfer purchases" - to quote the documentation,  "Due to platform limitations, purchases will be transferred as soon as you call `configure` if a user's purchases are already associated with another app user ID.This may cause unexpected transfers of purchases between app user IDs, especially for apps with optional logins or users with multiple devices. To prevent this behavior, you should wait to call `configure` until you have the appropriate app user ID for your customer." The app has optional login

How can we identify an upcoming subscription downgrade in the same group?

I am very new to Revenuecat so I may have missed something. Consider the following: SituationSuppose a user is currently using premium version A. Suppose it has decided to downgrade to premium version B - in the same Subscription group, and thus ‘purchased’ version B via the app, using the RevenueCat SDK. The downgrade will only become active when the current period of version A expires. In the RevenueCat dashboard I see the event: Changed their renewal preference to ‘Premium version B’. ComplicationAfter ‘purchasing’ version B nothing seems to change to the customerInfo object indicating that a downgrade to version B is expected to come.  QuestionI’d like to inform the user that their renewal preference is changed to Premium version B, how can I achieve this if nothing of this kind is available in the customerInfo object? Additional infoI am currently testing only with purchases in the app store.

Unable to fetch offerings from playstore

I am trying to use RevenueCat for my flutter application. Now app is work fine in the IOS but in the android it gives ConfigurationError. StoreProduct PriceFormatter issues with StoreKit 2

Hiya! Our paywall screen has a “[currency]0.00” — free option, with the currency based on offering?.availablePackages.first?.product.priceFormatter?.locale. With StoreKit 1, this properly returns the expected, matching locale, like Optional(en_US@currency=INR (fixed))But now that we’re starting to test out StoreKit 2 support, we get back Optional(en_US (autoupdatingCurrent))...when using a .storekit file with the storefront changed via Editor > Default Storefront. We can also reproduce this on device. It’s unclear to me if this would be a RevenueCat or a StoreKit 2 bug?

iOS - How to handle pending transactions?

I might be misunderstanding how RevenueCat is supposed to work, but... We used to use SwiftyStoreKit to handle our pending transactions. RevenueCat states that:Remove the SwiftyStoreKit completeTransactions() method, and replace it with the Purchases SDK configure()method. Our workflow is: User makes a purchase, after the purchase is confirmed we call our backend to inform that this user has unlocked a product, then after a successful confirmation, we manually invoke the complete transaction, so that the user can be billed.If there were any transactions that were not successfully communicated to the backend, they would be retried in the background.Given the description above, provided by the documentation, it seems like there is no way to handle this.What are we missing here? How can we ensure that purchases are only finished once our backend is informed? Thank you

Ionic/Angular/Cordova/Android - cannot find symbol

Hello, I am upgrading a pretty old project build on Ionic/Cordova/Angular with latest packages, and I am encourteing an issue on Android.I upgraded my project to ionic 6 and Angular 14. I also upgraded all plugins with @awesome-cordova-plugins. RevenueCat plugins are also updated.package.json:```"@awesome-cordova-plugins/purchases": "^6.2.0","cordova-plugin-purchases": "^3.3.3",``` Everything works fine on iOS. I ran into an issue when I try to build for Android I upgraded minSdk to 31, and installed JDK 11.Ionic documentation says we must use JDK 8, but I can’t build anything too because it needs sdk >= 31. config.xml:```    <preference name="android-minSdkVersion" value="22" />    <preference name="android-targetSdkVersion" value="31" />    <preference name="android-compileSdkVersion" value="31" />``` terminal:```[cordova] /Users/user/Sites/project/ionic/platforms/android/app/src/main/java/cc/fovea/PurchasePlugin.java:386: error: cannot find symbol[cordova]

Expo Managed app works locally with RevenueCat, but crashes on launch in TestFlight

Hi everyone,I’ve integrated RevenueCat’s React Native package into our Expo-managed app, and I’m running into an issue getting everything working in Testflight. I’ve added the getOfferings() and purchasePackage() functions into our app and everything is working as expected when running the app locally, but the app is crashing as soon as it’s opened in TestFlight. To create our build for TestFlight, I’m usingeas build --platform iosLet me know if I’m missing anything or if you need anything from my side to help resolve this issue.Thanks!

Purchases.getOfferings() throw exception in dev-client mode

Hi,In my app I am calling  Purchases.getOfferings() .If I build my app and submit it with eas, and then install it on the mobile device with test flight:eas build --platform ios --auto-submitThen the offering list is returned  as expected.  But when I try to run it for debugging with --dev-client , on my mobile devicenpx expo start --dev-clientThen the following exception is thrown:failed {"code":"23","message":"There's a problem with your configuration. Android app with different package ids for development and production not able to fetch products

Hello everyone,It’s a bit unclear if it’s possible to have a single Android app with 2 package ids (development and production), with 2 configured apps in the RevenueCat backoffice, and a single app in Google Play Console.We are getting an error every time we try to get the products with our .dev suffixed app"There's a problem with your configuration. None of the products registered in the RevenueCat dashboard could be fetched from the Play Store."Is the only way around this to create a new app in Google Play Console with this .dev bundle?It baffles us, because this works perfectly well with Google Billing Client, without the need of any additional app on the Google Play Console.Thank you for your help!

Random InApps Added by Console - How Do You Remove Them?

Hard to believe but the console added 2 non-subscription InApps to the project.  In the screenshots they are CONAS & CLDAS.  We have been selling this app for eight years with seven InApps including these two.  Why the console added these two, I have no idea.  Our intention is to sell monthly or annual subscriptions with the app.Any ideas on how this happened? How do you delete products? (If it was in the doc we won’t we posting here, please send a screenshot of how to delete these products as there is no delete option in our view, see screenshot)Thanks for any help.

Subscription not working when app is live

I have implemented subscriptions which work fine when I test the app in testflight. When live it doesn’t work.  I’m still trying to debug but because it only appears on the live app it’s a little difficult to debug.  I’m putting a new version out where I send some firebase events to help me debug the state of things. But posting here in case there’s something obvious I’m missing… Thanks for any pointers on what to check Daniel

Subscription is not working on iOS while working on macOS

I have sent my app to Apple review, they accepted the macOS version of the app, and rejected the iOS version. So I tried the subscription again within Xcode, and actually, it's running successfully with the macOS, while it is not on iOS (Simulator). CustomerInfo is null

I have gone through the whole setup. I am testing on a phone I have already made an in-app-purchase on. At the start I received CustomerInfo correctly, but now it is empty all the time. Any idea what is going on? For reference, the offerings are received correctly, and I can see the purchase in the dashboard. It seems to have another app user id though, for some reason.

Error: The receipt is not valid on Catalyst

Hi,I don’t know why I am getting this error. It was working well before on iOS, except on catalyst.Then I’ve broken all this!Purchase failed. Error Domain=RevenueCat.ErrorCode Code=0 "Unknown error." How to resolve Apple alert "You are not authorised to make purchases of this InApp in Sandbox at this time."?

 When attempting to purchase a product I’m receiving an alert from Apple that says "You are not authorised to make purchases of this InApp in Sandbox at this time." (image below). Has anyone encountered this before and has a solution?

Upgrade and trial not working properly with Android

I'm currently using the revenucat webhook to manage the subscriptions (iOS works just fine) and while testing the Android purchase flow, I've been struggling with the following issues:The trial webhook is not being received as the documentation says, it's just coming as a normal initial purchase, it does not have the property  "period_type": "TRIAL" but has the "period_type": "NORMAL" instead. This is making really hard to identify when a user is trialing or already has trialed.I created the offer just as the documentation explains: The other problem I've been facing is that a user is not doing an upgrade but another new subscription purchase is happening instead, why is this happening? example situation:Starts with a premium trial Decides to downgrade to a basic planSubscription should change to basic (even that the change is not being applied immediately, the plan should be changed (probably in the end of the trial with a renewal) and at least one PRODUCT_CHANGE event should be trigg

How to keep App User ID

Hi guys, I'm trying to understand how to deal with "App User ID" and user accounts.  All good if I have the next flow:A user downloads an app. The user register in the app Based on the registered user account, I can generate an "App User ID" and send it to RevenueCat. Then, based on the registered user account, I always have access to the user "App User ID" because it is stored in my database and mapped to the registered user account. Later on, users can restore purchases anytime after they log in to the app. Because again, I have his "App User ID" stored in my database.But what should I do if I have no user registration in the first place? Is it possible?  For example:A user downloads an app. I generate some random "App User ID" based on the device UUIDD The user goes through onboarding screens with a PayWall in the end. The user makes a purchase.  All that I have now, it's his "App User ID" mapped to his device UUID, and that is it. If the user changes the phone or tries to log in on

offerings are empty when using amazon app store and flutter

Unknown Error | App Store Review Only

After 10 rejections, I’m trying to get some help here. In my latest app, I’ve a $5/month subscription. Everything works fine when I compile using Xcode or distribute to my beta testers with TestFlight.But when I submit the build to Apple, they alway (10 times!!!) reject it because of a “Unknown error.” after successful purchase. Here is the message they send every time: Guideline 2.1 - Performance - App CompletenessAn error message is produced when attempting to complete the in-app purchase transaction.Please see attached screenshot(s) for details. Thanks for your help!

How to fix The operation couldn’t be completed. (RevenueCat.OfferingsManager.Error error 1.) ?

I’ve sat up all the configs and offering as well as testing them using StoreKit which was successful on the emulator.When trying to test with a real device, I encountered this error.I’ve checked to configurations, offering and product, no issue has been found.StoreKit products and Apple Connect products have the same data (almost) with the same product id.

How to know the difference between the Google Store account I subscribed to and the current Google Store account?

Expose `promotional_offer_id` in Webhook event for iOS Promotional Offers

Hi,We are adding iOS promotional offers to our app and want to track if someone has redeemed a promotional offer or not. From reading iOS docs they say that the receipt will return `promotional_offer_id` when a promotional offer is redeemed. Would it be possible to return this in the webhook event just like you do for `offer_code`? It would be super helpful for us.Thanks,Walter
