I want to create a feature in my app that g9ves a user a free month for free “unlocking premium” if the user invites 3 “friends”. How can I make this happen? When I got on Apple Store Connect It only lets me add a free month at the start of their subscription

Is it possible to differentiate macOS (catalyst) app from iOS device?

Hi,We Would like to see the differences on the graph (trials, revenue, churn, etc) for our App that’s on the AppStore for iOS/iPad and AppStore for macOS.The bundle id are the same and the in app purchases are also the same.Revenuecat already report Last Seen Platform Version but of course this is the last, it changes and is nor possible to make reports.How to know where the leads are being originated?

Is my app required to have a subscription management screen?

My app is available both on iOS and Android platforms, which means some of my users will be purchasing subscriptions on App Store and other users will be purchasing subscriptions on Google Play.RevenueCat’s documentation states the following in section “Sharing Subscriptions Across Apps and Platforms”Managing SubscriptionsA user can only manage their subscription on the platform it was purchased from. My doubt is: can I just redirect the user to either Google Play or App Store for him to manage his subscription at these stores manually? Or is it a requirement that my app should have a subscription management screen which allows the user to manage his subscription (downgrade, upgrade, cancel) from inside my app?I understand it would be much more user-friendly to allow the user to manage his subscription from inside the app, but I want to avoid as much implementation as possible for the first versions of my app, so that I can focus more on the required things and less on the improvements

How can i Reset the react-native-purchases cache without .logOut?

Dear RevenueCat Support,I am currently developing a React Native application that uses the react-native-purchases library for handling in-app purchases. I have encountered an issue where the session related to the purchases remains active even after a user logs out.I am using Firebase to authenticate, and the SDK is not generating anonymous ID like (RC: …). But the same ID stored in (originalAppUserId: '8NG2...') which is the same as the firebase User, is forever stored in the cache unless the app is deleted and redownloaded. I am wondering what the best practice is that is not .logOut, due to creating anonymous ID. I am aware of restorePurchases but I am gearing away from a button to pass the conditional renders. Also, is it appropriate to leave the .logIn in the authStateChange function for logging in with saved authentication data or to use the login just during the initial login part of the code. Thanks for your guys help. Hi there! Why does the GET https://api.revenuecat.com/v2/projects/{project_id}/products/{product_id} endpoint return the following for any subscription product until that product is purchased at least once?{ ... await Purchases.syncPurchases(); does not work for other device

Device A- Logged in Google play account (Aplaystoreaccount@gmail.com)- Logged in APP ID (Aappid@gmail.com)Device B- Logged in Google play account (Bplaystoreaccount@gmail.com)- Logged in APP ID (Aappid@gmail.com)  I saw this "await Purchases.syncPurchases();" on the docs and I used it after the subscription renewed, but this method just worked with Device A, I call this method with Device A this it gets the purchase info on google play and then renewing the subscription on Revenuecat.When i call this method "await Purchases.syncPurchases();" with Device B nothing happened, because the entitlement is not active.Why Device A worked perfect but Device B not worked this method "await Purchases.syncPurchases();"?

is migration with syncPurchases only needed for subscriptions?

Before RC integration I’ve only had a non-consumable IAP for lifetime unlock, I’m adding subscriptions now with RC. Since subscriptions are new, is it OK to skip syncPurchases or is it needed in any way for migration of the non-consumable IAP?

Need advice on selling subscription in bulk

A procurement person reached out regarding one of our apps and asked if they could manage “subscriptions in bulk” for their organization via their mobile device management system. They also want the ability to add and remove subscriptions on the fly.I know Apple offers a Volume Purchase Program, but that’s only for paid apps and doesn’t cover IAPs.Any ideas? So far I’m thinking:Purchase/manage seats on the web via Stripe; Create a new paid app specifically for them with a price point ~= LTV*2 yearsAny ideas will be appreciated

4 packages under one entitlement?

So we are facing a weird edge case in the app.Two months ago I created an entitlement "monthlysub"  and assigned two products "monthlysub" from apple and "monthysub" from google play store (I know the naming convention is not ideal).So a user purchased the subscription "monthlysub" and cancelled it later on.Now we decided to create a new product for specific users with 30 days trial. We decided to name the new product "amplimontlysub"  on both apple and google platforms.Next, I decided to add these products under the already exiting "monthlysub" entitlement. So now " monthlysub" entitlement has a total of four products.”Now when an old user who purchased two months ago but cancelled it decide to subscribe to  "amplimontlysub" product and the transactions from the apple side go thru, the transaction is done I see a pop from apple "you are all set" then I get an error from revenuecat that "there is already another active subscriber using the same receipt".How do I handle this? we want to

Is using random, anonymous user IDs ok if the app is exclusive to the App Store platform?

I’m updating a currently paid upfront app to subscriptions with RC (specifically, the updated version will include Monthly & Annual auto-renewing subs, and a Lifetime non-consumable in-app purchase). I’m a new RC user, and I have read the docs, but I have a few questions I’d like to clarify before proceeding any further. Firstly, about the anonymous (random) IDs:My RC project contains only one app, and that app is exclusive to the Apple App Store (i.e. no Play Store or Amazon Store counterparts, and no plan to create such counterparts in the future). The app is available on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. The app does not use its own login/authentication system, so ideally I’d like to allow RC to generate random, anonymous IDs at configuration.My question is, will using random IDs cause any problems in this particular circumstance? For example, if the user purchases a subscription on iOS and then opens the app on macOS, hits the “Restore Purchases” button, will it all just work? And then w

We get a number of errors related to “Purchase already in progress for this product.” → is this an issue or does this just let us know that a user has tried to trigger a purchase twice?

Why does the customers tab not show active entitlements in the user details page

When I look at a users detail in the customers tab (this URL: https://app.revenuecat.com/customers/) the entitlements section (in the top right of the page) always just shows “no current entitlements” even though the user I searched for has some active entitlements. I verify the user has some entitlements by manually calling the RevenueCat API via code with the same user ID and getting the CustomerInfo object that list all of the active entitlements. It makes testing a bit annoying that this data never seems to update. I’ve tried refreshing the page after multiple hours (over 12) and nothing still shows up. This is Sandbox data, does that make a difference? Thanks

Cancelled subscriptions

We have 62 subscriptions showing total revenue, but around 10 say they have cancelled the subscription. In IOS and Google Play it is not showing the same amount of revenue being made. I do not understand how this can be?? I am not experienced in Apps, this is my 1st app that we commissioned to have built

Why is difference Google Play Console setting price and WebHooks's `price_in_purchased_currency`!?

I selected purchase price ￥550/JPY in Google Play Console, but RevenueCat Webhooks return ￥600/JPY as `price_in_purchased_currency`, I expected ￥550/JPY.Why does the issue occur? Please tell me RevenueCat console setting if exists.it's too serious, since Apple/Goolge requires difference price in same product.Thank you.

I added Free Trials to my subscription – how long until my Paywall reflects the change?

Hi, I just released an app with an Experiment (A/B test) to compare two different pricing levels. Before release, I had forgotten to add a Free Trial phase to the subscriptions of test A, so I added them now.App Store Connect seems to have applied the change immediately, because when I open the paywall and press “Continue” and the system purchase appears, I see the trial phase there. But the paywall (I’m using the new paywalls provided by RevenueCat) does not reflect the change (yet), even after restarting the app several times to update the cache.Is there anything I need to do to update the paywall to reflect the addition of the Trial Phase? And if not, how long do changes like this take to be reflected by the RevenueCat paywall?

Not getting the onSuccess callback on Android

We’re using RevenueCat for subscriptions, but am now having issues with receiving the `onSuccess` callback when a user subscribes.If the user cancels the flow, we end up in the `onError` callback as expected, but when signing up we just don’t receive the callback, so the flow stops and doesn’t continue.Our implementation is working fine in production, but we’ve redone some of our signup flow, but we haven’t really (to my knowledge at least) changed anything in regards to subscription.The subscription code is called from a `ViewModel` and the function is called from a button click, so the call should be running on the mainthread (not sure if it matters really since it’s a callback).The code is fairly straightforward: Purchases.purchasePackageWith(   activity = activity,   packageToPurchase = packageToBuy, onError = { error, userCancelled → // Tell the View something went wrong. }, onSuccess = { transaction, customerInfo → // Call the View to update itse

getPurchaserInfo() return actual data only after purchaseProduct()

Hello! I’m really destroyed and don’t understand how to solve my problems.I have one apple account and can create multiple user-accounts in my app. First case:User A login (with logIn()) Buy purchase User A logout (with logOut()) User B login (with logIn() another appUserId)Now User B have subscription from User A. But i want the User B to not have a subscription in this case. What can i do?And more one, in this case after login method getPurchaserInfo() return not active subscription (I’ve been awaiting more than 5 minutes (time for reset cache but got not active). After this i show payment card and by tap (call method purchaseProduct()) user B see system alert with “have already subscription”. And after this method getPurchaserInfo() for User B return active status of subscription. What can i do in this case?Thanks for support!

iOS payment sheet prompted twice

In the sandbox environment, when I call Purchases.purchaseProduct or Purchases.purchasePackage (my product is auto-renewable), the payment sheet pops up for confirmation as expected. After I entered my credentials and pressed confirm, the payment sheet shows up again. I have to reenter my credential to confirm the purchase. This happens if the user does not have any subscriptions initially. Another big issue related to this is when the subscription expires, I cannot make a purchase to the same subscription because the payment sheet doesn’t show up at all, and the SDK console says it will not process because the purchase/transaction is a duplicate. TIA!
