Swings between A/B in experiments

Hi RevCat team and community Would love some guidance around LTV calculations in the experiments feature. We’ve been doing price testing of two price points for 2+ months now, and every day we check the experiments feature it is different, wild swings between variant A and B. I would have thought now we have been through 2 monthly renewal cycles we would start to see a trend or more signal, but it is different recommendation each day. Is there a recommended time period to run an experiment? Or someone on the RevCat team that can help us analysis the results or setup our experiment differently? Thanks - love the idea behind the feature - just looking for best way to utilize it. Cheers

Example of Package / Offering / Entitlement shape

I’m in the process of writing React-Native components that should display the details of a package. For this reason I am interested in knowing which fields are available on a Package object when received via an offering - so that I can model my data correctly. I have looked through the documentation and searched through community posts, but have not found what I’m looking for. Is it not available or have I just not succeeded in searching properly? I think all developers working with RevenueCat would benefit from having some kind of documentation for the shape of packages, offerings, and entitlements - so that we can code without actually accessing these data points in our projects.

Duplication of the purchase window on iOS

I had noticed this problem in my test app, but since it never showed up after my first try, I didn't give it any thought.Now that I have entered my production app I have noticed that the problem has recurred and therefore I am asking for help to fix it.Explanation of the problem.I state that I have tested the thing with iOS for now.When I try to purchase a renewable subscription, the first time I do it with a new device that has never purchased this subscription, after completing the purchase, the iOS window for purchase is presented to me again. If I proceed with the purchase again after all it goes smoothly. Even all future purchases have no more problems.I would like to understand if I made a mistake in the programming, where, however, I followed the example given by you to the letter, and in fact everything works perfectly after the first time.This can be unpleasant for the user since it can give the impression that he has paid twice and since mine is a subscription that automatica

Custom purchase integration

Hello, we are integrating with a third party app that is going to pay us per use of their members, for example, each time a user opens our the app we get paid x dollars.What is the best way of implementing such a system where RevenueCat can account for the revenue?My solution would only account for access: 1. Add a promotional entitlement via REST API to these members (so they get access to the features)Is there any alternative to get the value of the payments back to RevenueCat?

Failure to restore purchases made using local StoreKit testing

At WWDC 2020, Apple introduced the ability to do local StoreKit testing in Xcode (that is, testing without connecting to App Store servers and without using sandbox accounts). I would like to use that local StoreKit testing to test restoring RevenueCat-enabled purchases after an app re-install.Unfortunately, even though such a restore succeeds when testing on a device using a sandbox account, that restore always fails when performed using local StoreKit testing in Xcode (either on a real device or on the iOS Simulator).My question: does RevenueCat support the restoration of purchases after an app re-install when local StoreKit testing in Xcode is being used to make and subsequently restore the purchases?Here are the steps I performed in the effort to test the restore of purchases using local StoreKit testing. Re-purchase after App delete and reinstall with anonymous user

I have an app that has been available in the App Store for sometime. Many users have made a life time purchase to be ad free.I now wish to convert that payment to a yearly subscription.I have been doing some testing with a prototype app after following the tutorial by Code With Chris.The life time purchase will no longer be an option once I have updated to subscriptionIf a life time purchasers deletes then reinstalls the app after the update they will see the ‘Go Ad Free’ button and the ‘Restore Purchases’ button available to them.Question - I want to understand the behaviour when one of these users taps the ‘Go Ad Free’ button instead of restore.In my testing the App Store response does recognise that the user has already purchased life time Ad Free status and appears to charge them for a subscription. Although the subscription doesn’t appear in the sandbox recent transactions so maybe there is no charge? It would not be clear to the user though.Sorry for the long question. I hope

iOS Free trial + offer code?

hey folks,we’re facing a bit of a conundrum:On iOS, we offer a 7 day free trial as an introductory offer. However, for some users that come from channel partners we’ve created (iOS 14) offer codes that give users either a 2 week or 1 month free trial. For these offer codes, we’ve set "No, this code will replace the introductory offer”.A few times now, a user who was supposed to use the offer code, instead redeemed the introductory offer 7 day free trial. After they do this, we give them the offer code and when they redeem it, Apple adds the introductory offer 7 day free trial to the 1 month free trial and so they get ~37 day free trial.Is there any way for me to have it change from the 7 day trial to the 1 month free trial instead, instead of going to the 1 week + 1 month?Also, users report that after they redeem the offer code (after initially redeeming the introductory 7 day trial offer), in their Apple ID subscription settings, they see “plan automatically renews at $X.XX/month star

When people makes purchase we get the IP address as well separately, this allow us to do business analysis . What we found that in more than 40% case the location revenue cat showing is wrong. Can you please update your GEOIP database? Maxmind is the best provider in the world

Mac Catalyst app "stuck" with the RevenueCat app user ID of a single sandbox test user

I would like to know how to reset a RevenueCat-enabled Mac Catalyst app's in-app purchase state so that I can test the app's in-purchases with different sandbox users and with local StoreKit testing. App like Udemy: selling courses. How to define products?

I have an app that sell courses as video lectures written in flutter. My app is rejected from Apple Store because I suppose to use in-app purchases instead of an external payment method. Each course has its own price. I’m a little bit rusty about in-app purchases. There is a lot term here with revenuecat: products, entitlements, offerings. Do I need these all? Some courses are non-consumable and has lifetime access.Some courses are subscriptions and has a one time limit. I have a course detail page. When I enter here, I want to check if I bought this course. If yes, I’ll show all videos. If not I want to show a buy button. The prices, id and type(subscription or non-consumable) will come from my rest api. Should I create product id for each course with these information like $courseId1_tier_1, $courseId2_tier_3, $courseId3_tier_1 or I should create product ids in apple and in google and then share the same products ids with rest and rest api should return product id when course detail
