RevenueCat for logged-in users only

We use RevenueCat in Observer-Mode and only want to use it for logged-in users.I read the post:It mentions:Only configure RevenueCat with an userId Don’t call logoutThere is one issue with this approach though - if the user logs out and then makes purchases RevenueCat might pick them up. Is there a way to destroy the RevenueCat instance in order to get in a state equal to configure not being called? Maybe calling `Purchases.sharedInstance.close()` when the user logs our?

When create new service account , I cannot find Monitoring Viewer.

I am reading RevenueCat's documentation to implement subscriptions using RevenueCat.But, I encountered a problem while setting things up as I was reading the documentation.When create new service account in Google Cloud Console, I cannot find Monitoring Viewer.Should I choice Monitoring Snooze Viewer?

Failed to connect to api.revenuecat.com/54.92.158.15:443

One of my customers is getting this error: “Failed to connect to api.revenuecat.com/54.92.158.15:443” When I try to ping the IP address from my local machine, the request times out. Any ideas what might be causing this issue? Is the revenuecat API down? Or perhaps API IP changed but DNS issue?

Missing field in transfer webhook event (sandbox)

There is no product_id, so I don’t know what should I transfer.

No Webhook event when extending a Stripe trial

ContextI’m building a referrals feature that gives users 30 days free access to our subscription. If they’re currently on a trial, it’ll extend it by 30 days. For example, if you have a 7 day trial, it’ll extend to 37 days. ProblemWhen I extend someone’s trial, I don’t see a Revenue cat event for that subscription update. Stripe sends a customer.subscription.updated event, so everything’s fine there.My hunch is Revenuecat doesn’t support this edge case, which would be very unfortunate :/ Any recommended solutions or workarounds? Seems like a core use case to update users when anything on the subscription changes.

Do "transferred_from" and "transferred_to" always have the same number of elements?

The context is TRANSFER webhook event. I assume the two lists always have the same length. So we have a one-to-one transfer map, like transferred_from[k] to transferred_to[k]. Is my assumption correct?

Failed webhook monitoring

While investigating an account I expected to be closed in our system, I noticed that the expiration webhook had failed with a 403 (The dashboard says 6 out of 6 attempts but I only see the last result I assume).What I want to know now is how often this happens and if its a one off or a recurring problem, however I can’t see a centralised place to view webhook events & failures (Unlike Mandril for example that has a dedicated webhook section and shows you all the recent failures).If this data exists then where is it? Or is there a custom report somewhere I can run to get this data?

Unity Subscription Renew Log

Hello,  I want to send a log to our logger system when a purchase success. I can get subscription started log from PurchaseProduct method’s callback. But I can’t find a way to send a log when subscription renewed. "Your first subscription must be submitted with a new app version" in App Store Connect

I made app updates and in the new version, there is no subscription. In Features - Subscription I made a new subscription and added that new product to RevenueCat. After I uploaded a new version of my app to the App Store but still got this error and no subscription in my released app.Do you have any idea how can solve this issue?Thank you!

Automatically Grant Promotional Entitlements Based On Offer Code and Other Criteria

Is it possible to automatically grant promotional entitlements to users based on certain criteria?  I see from this article that it can be done through the REST API but I’m unclear if that can be criteria based.  Example use cases:We would like to automatically grant a promotional entitlement for users that:Apply a specific Apple Offer Code New subscribers within a certain timeframe Other RevenueCat customer attributes (that we could pass in)Thank you!

Why do I often see billing errors minutes after a trial conversion?

I regularly find that a billing error is triggered within minutes after a user converts to a subscription from a trial. This is problematic because we send emails based on billing error events, and in many cases this is one of the first communications our users receive from us. Any idea why the billing error could be happening so soon after the subscription payment is successfully charged?

Webhook BILLING_ISSUE from Apple

How many days before renewal (expiration date)can a BILLING_ISSUE event come from Apple?In Apple's documentation they say that they try to see if there is a problem with a payment with the customer 10 days before and 24 hours beforetry to renew the customer's subscription several times.I was in doubt if I can receive a BILLING_ISSUE 10 days before that period or if it would only be within 24 hours before.

'Transfer to new App User ID' + syncPurchases() = Good enough?

If I'm using the 'Transfer to new App User ID' Restore Purchase Behaviour, is just calling syncPurchases() after I call Purchases.configure() a reasonable course of action?I could put a button there and do a proper restore, but if I’m presuming that the user is just going to hit the button anyway, doesn’t syncPurchases() save them the trouble?Many thanks.

I have a flutter app running with RevenueCat package. A user says he can’t share the subscription of my app to his children via Family Library. Someone on reddit says in-app-purchases doesn’t support Family Library. So is RevenueCat the same?

Determine if the purchase was subscription or consumable

Hi! I’m fairly new (started today) to using Revenue Cat so I may have missed it in the plethora of documentation. React Native Android Free Trial Cancelled due to a billing error

I'm encountering an issue with all of my Play Store plans that offer a trial period. None of them are converting after the 7-day free trial period, and I always receive the following error message: The peculiar aspect is that this issue is specific to the Play Store; it works fine on iOS without any exceptions. Can you please assist me with this matter?

Is it save to show the App User ID to the user?

Is it save to show the App User ID to the users in the app or does that hold any potential for abuse? My app uses anonymous IDs only. When users contact me for support, I can’t link their email addresses to their RevenueCat profiles. I was thinking about showing the App User ID to my users in the app so they can append it if they contact me. Is that safe or not a good idea?  Looking forward to your answers.

watchOS TestFlight "Account not in this store"

I am trying to test purchases in TestFlight on watchOS.Unfortunately, I get the following user-facing alert: “Account not in this store: Your account is not valid for use in the U.S. store. You must switch to the Czech store before purchasing.” Buttons: “Change store”, “Cancel”.Tapping on “Change store” opens the App Store. An empty sheet slides in for a second, then disappears. That’s it. The issue is not resolved.This all sounds very wrong, I am in the Czech store all this time. On a paired iPhone, everything works flawlessly.Any tips?

Missing users in our S3 export

Hi, We noticed that some users are missing in the export file we have on our S3.The user exists on RC dashboard when we look in the Customers tab.Do you know how is it possible?Just in case it has an impact, we didn’t select the option “Receive new and updated transactions only” so we receive everything each time. Thank you for your help,

Can I direct users from Apple and Android Stores to subscribe in Web/Stripe?

I understood that in the past you can't direct customers to your website in order to get them subscribe, using Stripe for example, instead of having them use the Apple and Android Store and their astronomically high fees.But resent lawsuits let me to believe that in certain cases is alright to direct App clients to Stripe to get their subscription.In what cases is it alright to direct clients to Stripe? How will we manage that change in RevenueCat, do they have to cancel their subscription in the IOs App store and them create a new one in Stripe?  In Android I understand that we can send a cancel request to Android on behalf the user and then proceed to create the Stripe subscription?Thanks

A standard routine for handling getCustomerInfo?

Currently,  one of my apps calls `getCustomerInfo` on app launch and after any purchase has been successfully processed. Is this sufficient or should it be called more frequently? I do not understand how it works, but if a user is not connected to the internet, does it assume that the entitlement (if one existed) is still valid? If that is the case, should we be worried that some users may simply disconnect from the internet whenever they launch our app?  Furthermore, in the event that an error is thrown, how should we handle it in terms of whether or not an entitlement should be granted? Should we just inform the user to try again later? Thanks in advance!
