Thanks RevenueCat, iOS App Approved for sale using In-App Purchases !!!

Just wanted to give a shout out to the Revenue Cat team.  @ 3:19 p.m. today Apple Review made first in-app purchase of my auto-renewing subscription and @ 3:24 p.m. I received email welcoming me to the App Store from Apple.I actually expected a lot more testing of the In-App purchase portion of the app because I know I spent a lot of time testing it and making last minute changes.  But who am I to complain.Of course I got some rejections along the way for Rating, and Safety Guidelines but the In-App purchases flow went flawlessly thanks to the great staff Revenue Cat has assembled.I think back to my previous company where I did receipt validation locally (couldn’t afford a server backend staff) and thought it was crazy that every developer had to do this decryption validation of receipt.  Even crazier was the verbose language you had to put on your paywall in a vertically challenged render space.  I believe we got rejected six days in a row just for the wording on the paywall and the l

Subscription not transferred when using another device with same account

Recently, we have run into cases where using multiple Android devices leaves our users in a state where they have no entitlements. Repro Steps:1.) On the RevenueCat dashboard, set “Restore Behavior" to “Transfer Purchases”.2.) On Device #1….  - Log into Google Play with your account.  - Install our app.  - Launch our app (configure() is called at startup with a null user ID)  - Create an account. (login() is called with the new user ID)  - While logged into this new account, purchase a subscription managed by RevenueCat.3.) On Device #2…  - Log into Google Play with the same account from Step 2.  - Install our app.  - Launch our app (configure() is called at startup with a null user ID)  - Do not log in yet.6.) Notice that the subscription that was purchased on Device #1 is transferred from the user’s account to the anonymous user that was created when the application was launched for the first time on Device #2. How to fix `"Couldn't IRGen expression"`

After installing the framework by using Carthage with XCFrameworks, some developers have run into an issue when debugging. How do I know when my state changes form Auto-Renewable Subscription?

Hi,I've the following class that handles everything regarding RevenueCat. My current problem is that I just don't get the current state of my subscription. So the point after purchase was clicked. Is it useful to have this class as a singleton like I've it here? Testflight - cannot renew subscriptions

Hello,  We’ve tested with multiple store accounts and we’re running into the same issue: The first subscription purchase works correctly  After several renewals the subscription auto-expires, as expected When we attempt to re-subscribe, Purchases.purchaseProduct resolves without showing the App Store purchase flow, or actually renewing the subscription.

Getting outdated CustomerInfo after purchase

After successful purchase via Purchases.shared.purchase(package: product) i get outdated CustomerInfo when calling Purchases.shared.customerInfo(). It reports purchased entilement as inactive. I have to either use syncPurchases or listen to CustomerInfo updates using Purchases.shared.customerInfoStream but both produce unnecessary overhead.I got up-to-date CustomerInfo until recently. Am i misunderstanding how SDK works?

ANR / Crash after purchase

Hey guys. My app crashes about 30% of the time after user purchased the in-app-subscription. The issue occurs only on android. I use:react-native 0.63.4 react-native-purchases 4.5.3The error:The main error is: “Input dispatching timed out (Waiting to send key event because the focused window has not finished processing all of the input events that were previously delivered to it. Outbound queue length: 0. Wait queue length: 1.)” Sometimes: Broadcast of Intent { act=android.intent.action.SCREEN_OFF flg=0x50200010 }In 2 files:com.android.billingclient.api.ProxyBillingActivity MainActivity  It happens only after purchase. My MainActivity is pretty empty. One subscription, multiple products?

I have an educational app that is structured around courses. My subscription offering has two options: "single course" and "unlimited".The problem is that with a "single course" subscription, I need to track which course the user subscribed to across devices. Can RC help me do this?It seems like `setAttributes()` would help here, but there's no corresponding `getAttributes()` in the SDK.

Subscription temporarily gets deactivated after first renewal in Sandbox (Flutter/PlayStore)

Hi all,I tested various setups now and when I am fetching my active entitlements like...Purchases.getOfferings().then((value) async {        PurchaserInfo purchaserInfo = await Purchases.getPurchaserInfo();        EntitlementInfos _infos = purchaserInfo.entitlements;}...I get correct data right after the purchase until the first renewal, after that, my monthly subscription is missing in purchaserInfo.entitlements.active even though it is still active in Play Store and order management does not show any purchase errors, only normal renewal. Then its seems, that right after the second renewal, I get correct data again, meaning that my monthly subscription is showing up again in purchaserInfo.entitlements.active. It seems others had similar issues, and this is preventing me to go into production as uncontrolled cancellation would not be very nice.It seems that this is an RC issue, any help with this is highly appreciated.Thanks in advance!Severin

'There was a problem with the App Store' (STORE_PROBLEM) error

This is the most common error from RevenueCat that can also lead to unexplained App Store rejections. Unfortunately, this error occurs when Apple's /verifyReceipt endpoint is down and unable to verify purchases. In sandbox, these errors can be fairly common since the sandbox environment is not as robust as production. In production, expect these errors less often. If your app is working in sandbox mode while testing on your own devices, this is likely an issue with the App Store. App ReviewThis issue seems to affect new apps (apps that have never been released on the App Store) during their first review more than apps that have previously been released on the App Store. Generally, the best course of action is usually to re-submit your binary or try to explain the situation to the reviewer. Question with sharing entitlements with signed in and anonymous users

Entitlement “pro” = will active app and allow users to access basic feature in the user interfaceEntitlement “cloud_store” = allow users to store data to our cloud server   When users open our app (device A), there is no sign in form. The user can purchase a subscription which grants them the entitlement “pro”. As a result of no login process I know that the user will be an anonymous user. I also know that any other device (device B) can restore as long as they are on . I have 1 section (feature) in my app which allows users to store data to our server. For this I plan to require users to login to sync to our server. Once a user login they can purchase a different entitlement “cloud_store” My question: will I be able to allow 1 users with multiple devices, (device A: logged in) (device B: not logged in) to share entitlement “pro” and (device A) would only have access to entitlement “cloud_store” I guest I alike to keep an alliance with anonymous users and signed in users. App not working in iOS simulator

It is highly recommended to test on a real device. This is because StoreKit is flaky in iOS simulators - it will randomly fail when fetching products, offerings, etc. Learn more on testing purchases in sandbox in our documentation.

Billing error during sandbox purchase

Apple will randomly generate billing errors for auto-renewable subscriptions in sandbox. This is expected behavior; it's part of Apple's sandbox environment so that you can test for the billing error case.

"The device or user is not allowed to make the purchase" error

This error could be due to a few reasons. Try the following troubleshooting steps:Make sure your device/emulator is completely updated. Try running on device. Sometimes the emulator glitches out and it must be restarted. Overall, testing on device is more reliable. Restart your device/emulator. Make sure you're logged in with a Google account. If you're running on an emulator, make sure it has Google Play installed.

Why are offerings or products empty?

If you're still testing in sandbox, it's most likely a configuration issue that's preventing the products from being retrieved from Apple/Google. Your product identifiers are set in RevenueCat, but the actual products that your users purchase can only be retrieved directly from Apple/Google. Because this communication happens between your app and the stores, RevenueCat doesn't have any visibility into the API requests, however there are some common requirements to go through.iOS and AndroidThe product identifier set in RevenueCat matches exactly with the store You're testing on a physical device and not a simulator The bundle ID in Xcode [iOS] or package name [Google/Amazon] match what's in App Store Connect or Google Play/Amazon Developer console. Making it easier to get offer duration and introductory offer duration

Hi,  Apologies if I have missed an obvious property. I am referring to displaying the duration, specifically before a user has purchased a subscription and is looking at the landing page of offers available.  It seems to get duration for an offer, you need to get the package type, and then transform accordingly into your preferred display value, ie PackageType.annual => ‘12 Months’. Looks like there should be a ‘subscriptionPeriod’ property somewhere, that looks like ‘P1Y’, but I guess it is higher than the offer, perhaps in the offering? The introductory price then has a separate duration code, something like ‘P6M’, so you need another function to transform that into something readable. ie ‘6 Months’ and perhaps another function if you wanted to get the duration value and calculate something like price per day or month.  It would be nice to have a simple duration property, preferably as a Duration object in the Flutter SDK, which would reduce the need for transforming codes into St

Help wanted: StoreKit 2 beta testing

Hi! 👋🏻 We’re in the final stages of our testing of some StoreKit 2 features before fully calling it ready for production, and we’d love your help!  Context: Starting with v4.0.0, our SDK already uses StoreKit 2 by default on compatible devices for some features where the StoreKit 1 functionality was problematic, buggy or unreliable, and StoreKit 2 is essentially guaranteed to be an improvement (like checkTrialOrIntroDiscountEligibility). For devices that aren’t compatible with StoreKit 2, it defaults to a StoreKit 1 implementation.  However, we haven’t enabled StoreKit 2 by default for making actual purchases. We’ve tested it extensively in Sandbox and StoreKit Test (see our blog post on how we test our SDKs) but we need to see how well StoreKit2 behaves in production before calling it ready.  How to help:  Our SDK includes an optional flag in the configure method, called useStoreKit2IfAvailable. Is it safe to switch Restore behavior on running app with existing paying users?

Hi,We are using Alias (legacy) restore behavior and I wonder if switching to Transfer purchases would be safe to do?We already have paying users. We do not have any login mechanism in the app itself and we fully rely on RevenueCat. My motivation to switch from Alias (Legacy) to Transfer Purchases is to enable premium users to get premium features connected with the Premium subscription on multiple devices they use with their Apple ID/Google ID.So the desired result is that a user who downloads our app on a mobile phone and pays for Premium Subscription can download our app also on iPad or other phone and will get premium features of our app on those devices too.Could you please advise if this is doable with switching to Transfer Purchases and if it is safe to switch restore behavior on a running app?Thank you.Lukas
