Identify promotional offer in webhook

First of all, thank you for your great work.Is there a way to identify a webhook event is a promotional offer or not?We have a promotional offer in apple store: first month 50% off discount. Webhook events look like this:1. First event:{   …,   "period_type": "NORMAL",   “price_in_purchased_currency”: 10 }2. Second event:{   …,   "period_type": "NORMAL",  “price_in_purchased_currency”: 20}Which looks correct, however, we want to identify the first event as ‘promotional offer initial purchase` for our own record. It can be identified through ‘price_in_purchased_currency’ but it’ll get complicated since there are up to 200 currencies. We tried to add customer attribute to give more information when user buy promotional offer, but that goes to all events so it doesn’t really meet our needs.Just wondering if there’s another way to differentiate the initial ‘promotional offer’ subscription from following ‘normal’ subscription. Thanks a lot!

How to run experiments only on the latest app version?

Hello, I’m looking to run an experiment that offers a free trial for the first time. I just released an update that includes verbiage on my paywall about the free trial if one exists on a package.What will users who don’t have my latest update experience when I start the experiment? Will the experiment be served to the non-latest version of the app? I do not want the offering with a trial served to existing users because it’s not a true experiment without the updates to my paywall.

What happens to historical purchase data when deleting a customer?

If I delete a subscriber via the api, what happens to their historical purchase data? Is it still available in reports or exports somehow, or is it just erased from our stats? I would imagine the answer is the same if deleted via the dashboard instead of the API, but please mention if it’s different.

Are entitlements considered active during a grace period?

Hi - if a users subscription expired (Apple App Store) and could not renew but we have grace period turned on, will the entitlement still have isActive as true during the duration of the grace period (desired outcome), or do we need to do some extra checks for the grace period when isActive == false. Thanks

iOS offerings not showing (for 2nd Subscription Group)

We created a 2nd Subscription Group, in order to create an add-on subscription product that users can upgrade to, in addition to their core subscription product.It’s set up so that when a user is a paid subscriber to our Unlimited Access subscription, they can upgrade to the Premium AI subscription if they choose to.While our entitlements/offering for the main subscription (Unlimited Access) works fine, when a user hits the paywall to upgrade to the Premium AI, the offerings are not showing.And for some customers it shows that they are already subscribed to this. We think this was because the add-on subscription was all under one Subscription Group. We created a separate 2nd group to try and fix this, but we’re not sure if it did.  We have:-Accepted the paid agreement-Subscription is approved by App Store and is available in every country-Made sure product id matches the revenuecatAny tips here?

App User ID Migration Sanity Check

I’m migrating an iOS app with a legacy user ID system. Currently, the user IDs are stored locally on-device (in the keychain), and I will be introducing a way to create a real account that can be used across devices (it will be Firebase Auth). I think I have a migration path designed, but want to check I’m not misunderstanding anything. Here’s how it would work:User launches new build of the app containing the new accounts implementation. If they are an existing user with a legacy device-local ID, I log them in to RevenueCat with that ID for continuity until a future point where they decide to create an account. If they are a new user as of the introduction of the new accounts implementation, I log them into RevenueCat as anonymous. They can subscribe and do whatever they want while in the anonymous state. When a user comes to create an account, I create it using Firebase Auth, immediately log them into RevenueCat using the new user ID, and then call `syncPurchases`.My assumption on th

Reduced subscription for multiple apps

Hello everyone,I have 2 apps in the google play store and two apps in the iOS App Store.  Both are subscription based.  I would like to offer users a discounted rate if they subscribe to both apps (in a single store).  For example, iOS app 1 charges $36.99 a week and so does app 2.  If the user subscribes to both, I would like to charge them around $50 instead of making them pay for both subscriptions. Any thoughts as to how to do this?

API v2 fetch_token

Hi. I'm still evaluating whether to use RevenueCat. I have a use case where I verify the subscription status of some user in my server. The REST API v2 docs mention fetch_token in the param. Is that required or is app_user_id sufficient on its own? It says fetch_token is the app store receipt file for iOS in API v1 docs but how do I get that in flutter SDK? Thanks!

There's a cache that's slowing me to a grind

I’m working on integrating rc to my WebRTC signaling server and it’s hard. Last evening, I deleted all the users from revenuecat and flushed the server’s db.  This morning I subscribed and got an event with the userId from yesterday 🪦 I’m using 💯capacitor-purchases 💯 but I don’t believe it has a cache.Are all caches disabled for sandbox users?

User not converted even though they finished free trial

Hi guys So I have a user that opted in for the free trial and has being using the app, however on revenuecat it says that the user will be charged today as the free trial period ended, however the user has not being charged (IOS) does anyone know the reason?

I use RevenueCat in my app, I wanted to know how I can proceed to connect with Stripe through payment links, in the Stripe form I have a custom field where the user enters his code, the one necessary for RevenueCat to pick up the user (USER ID). Any idea how I can do that?

Multiple Subscription IAP items [ProductChange] problem

Hello RevenueCat Community, I have 3 subscription itemfirstNumbersecondNumberthirdNumberI've encountered an issue where I'm trying to subscribe to multiple items, but RevenueCat RestAPI only logs one of them. While the actual subscription process seems to work on my end, the logs in RevenueCat only show one item being subscribed to.Upon checking the logs further, I noticed the term product_change.  I dont want to change product, I want to subscribe another subscription item.I have tried it ,3 different entitlement it says product changei have tried it,1 entitlement (3 products) It says same product changeon the other hand apple transaction successfully,it takes the money.Has anyone else experienced this? Can someone shed light on what might be happening or how to resolve this? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!Thank you in advance! Please check screenshots

API v2 Metrics

When the data returns for Metrics in the v2 API, what is “Num tx last 28 days”? There is no explanation about this parameter anywhere I have searched. I am guessing number of trials?Maybe using the complete word rather than tx would be more helpful to a user.

Ensuring timely monthly item delivery for Pro subscribers

Hello everyone, I want to deliver monthly items to our Pro subscribers and I could use some guidance. My main concern is ensuring that regardless of the subscription type (monthly or annual), our users receive their items on the same date as a monthly renewal would.Currently, when a user purchases a subscription, I have a backend function that communicates with RevenueCat's REST API to check the user's Pro entitlement status and provide them with the initial items for the first month. My aim is to schedule an event for a future date to facilitate the delivery of the next monthly items.This raises the question of how to determine the appropriate date each month, especially considering the varying number of days in each month. I'm particularly curious about how Apple or Google handle these differences, as I want to align our delivery schedule with their approach.  I would appreciate any help!

I don't use google cloud.

In React Native, react-native-iap was used well.But this time, I want to add payment by changing to expo.I don't use google cloud.There were problems from the first.That solution seems too difficult.https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/creating-play-service-credentials I have “no link an exists google cloud project”.

When migrating all legacy products have to be added?

We’re currently migrating to RevenueCat. In the past we had many products on Android/iOS mainly for pricing tests where user subscribed to. We don’t offer these products anymore but of course these users should still have access to the PRO features.Do we still need to add all these legacy products (subscriptions) in RevenueCat too, so we can find out they have a valid subscription? Or do we only have to set up the products that we actually want offer in the app?And will this affect analytics somehow when products are not added?BestJanis

I wanted to see if there were benchmarks on how many downloads you would need to get a three-month trial membership. I also wanted to see how many of those trial memberships purchase a three-month subscription on average. Thanks

Apple finance team delayed by 2 months, what to do?

RC Community I need your help. For 2 months we have not gotten paid from Apple. We are talking 6 figures in USD!  This SIGNIFICANTLY affects our cashflow and we will have some challenges making payroll. I wrote to the finance team and they have not responded (it has been 2 weeks).What can I do here??????Background & TimelineApple had asked us to verify our company and account IDs and we did it Due to the verification they help our money from the end of Feb payout.  Now its end of March, we still don’t see an issued payment

Webhooks document shows `id` but return `app_id` in fact

Here is `Common Fields`.https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/webhooks#common-fieldsshows below.id: Unique identifier of the event.But, Webhooks's request body returns `app_id` instead of `id`.`id` is wrong and `app_id` is correct, right?Thanks.

Will RevenueCat differentiate between IAP purchases and subscriptions made with other packages in combination with RevenueCat sdk

Hi there, i am currently working on an app that  have both consumable purchases and subscriptions, and i have implemented the subscriptions with revenue cat, but i have used another package for the consumables which has noting to do with revnuecat, so will revenue cat consider the consumable purchases made with my app to be revenue made with using revenue cat services, from the sandbox data that whats it looks like.

Distinguishing test users from real users in dashboard

Relatively minor but just seeking some clarification on the numbers in the dashboard. We are currently doing testing and haven’t published the app to a production environment yet. As it stands the dashboard is showing 132 new customers and 138 active users, all of these are test users.  Deleting the test customers does remove them from the Customers list (after a period of time) however the dashboard still seems to count them. Active users, as I understand it, is just the number of user ID’s  (including anonymous/generated) that have been seen within 28 days.  My question is over time we’ll still be testing things and will interfere with these numbers. Is there anyway to differentiate between the testing users and production. Toggling the ‘View Sandbox data’ doesn’t seem to effect these numbers?
