Apple Search Ads Attribution

Forum|alt.badge.img+7

Hi,

I’m a little confused about the Apple Search Ads attribution page in the docs:
https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/apple-search-ads

It says that:

On iOS 14.5+, you must be running the latest RevenueCat SDK and request authorization via the App Tracking Transparency framework before Apple Search Ads data can be collected by RevenueCat.

However, my understanding is that for basic tracking (anonymised) using the new AdServices framework, this isn’t necessary. What’s the latest on this?

Hi Tristan,

We are currently not using AdServices yet but Apple’s iAd framework, which requires ATT consent. We are planning to move to AdServices over the course of the next few months, but no concrete date is set yet. We will announce it here and via our newsletter once we ship AdServices support.

Same here, waiting for the AdServices.

Although for now you can identify on your code if the user came from Apple Search Ads or not, and then forward it to you Analytics platform (Amplitude in my case), and calculate it from there: https://devsday.ru/blog/details/44398

We would be really excited to use Search Ads attribution. Are there any updates on this?

Hi! Any updates on this?

I was surprised this was not supported yet. Hopefully it does not take much longer.
