State of API results vs webhook events

Hi!We’ve recently starting using RevenueCat and everything seems to be working fine!We have a backend-focused approach, where we query the REST API to get subscription information server-side. Something we have noticed is that the API returns old data when immediately querying it after receiving a webhook event or purchase. This happens with both server webhooks or webhooks to the SDK. We have noticed that this can take longer than 2 seconds before querying the API delivers the new data.The question then is, when can we expect querying the API to return the same state of the data as in the webhook event? What's the best way start using RevenueCat to ensure I take care of users who have paid for the app already?

I currently have an app that costs $20 to download and then requires a simple account creation login process. I would like to move the app to be free, still require login, but then put certain screens behind a subscription paywall. I would also like the few hundred people who have already paid $20 to have lifetime access for free.Before I go ahead building out this - I want to check if this is possible with RevenueCat and how I should proceed. Transfer flow from User that has multiple subscriptions

Hi,I have an application where users can have multiple subscriptions.I'm enabling Transfer flow in order to transfer one subscription from one user to another (same person with another account) but looking at the documentation it doesn't say anything that can be done for users who have multiple subscriptions. Is this possible to do?I would like to know how Revenuecat manages multiple subscriptions in the same user to get the one that interests me and transfer it to the other account.Thanks,Adria

How to avoid product change on iOS (especially with multiple accounts on same device)?

I have this scenario that I am trying to avoid as it is very confusing how to even manage such a subscription:User1 logs into the app (app_user_id is configured) User1 purchases the 1 month subscription User1 logs out User2 logs in (new app_user_id is configured) User2 tries to purchase the 1 month subscription and gets “already purchased” error BUT if User2 tries to purchase the 3 months subscription, iOS allows it (and treats it as product change?)Will this mean same iOS account has actually made 2 purchases for 2 different users or now the lines are crossed and the first user has been upgraded?FWIW, I have revenue cat configured to now allow transfers since the entire app is behind a login and each user should have their own subscription per one account.

All of the purchases I see are INITIAL_PURCHASE and none of them are RENEWAL for a monthly subscription

Hi there,I’m just starting out trying to implement and test an App Store auto-renewable subscription. I followed the setup guide and am using the iOS simulator to test. I was able to make a test purchase of a monthly product I have configured and I can see it in the sandbox with my anonymous user. I can see also subsequent purchases for the same user. The question I have is, all of the purchases are INITIAL_PURCHASE and none of them are RENEWAL. I was wondering if this was normal? From what I understand, the app store should do up to 6 renewals per day before you have to wait 8 hours to test again on the same sandbox user account? I can see currently 20 INITIAL_PURCHASE transactions in the Overview Dashbaord. I have a customer that converted from a trial for $0, and it’s renewing at $0, and just got a billing error but still the subscription will renew next month? what is going on here?

company address not showing on bills

Hello, our bills appear to be billed to “Revenue Cat”. Obviously our company name should be shown instead. How can we fix this? we could find no access to billing info.

User match when having multiple aliases

Hi, If we set id “A” as a user app id in RC and set id “B” as a user alias for the same user, is RC will be able to match a user with the id “B” knowing that it is not the user app id?To give you more context, we need id “A” to be set as a user app id as we need this id to be sent to Amplitude. But we also need id “B” to be set for the user as we need to it to match user between different platforms (iOS and MacOS).Could you confirm that it is the order that determine which id is set as the app user id?According to this question, it is the case so it means we should first set id B then id A then. Missing webhook deliveries for events during the Nov 23 outage

Greetings, RevenueCat team & community Yesterday I found out that some customers don’t have premium access anymore to my client’s app - the premium access is offered through a monthly recurring subscription. Looking at their profiles in RevenueCat, a colleague noticed that the webhook delivery for the Renewal event was missing in the dashboard - please see the attached image. Thus, our backend had no idea that the subscription should be extended. Now we are in a situation where some customers paid, but don’t have access anymore. I exported a custom CSV list from RevenueCat for all renewals done on Nov 23 and checked them one by one, out of about 120 renewal events, 12 had missing webhook deliveries. I provided that list to my teammate and he manually fixed them in our database. However, there are probably more customers impacted than what I managed to find. Here comes the part where I need your help: Is there a way for us to get a complete list of impacted users so we can manually

How to handle subscription when deleting a user

Hello,I saw that google play requires you to have the option in the app and also through a separate webpage for users to delete their account. I was wondering what is the go to approach in terms of managing the subscription? Do we have to cancel the user subscription before deleting the account and then also delete the customer from the revenuecat side, or de we just delete the customer and that’s it? What would be the order in which we execute this operations?Thank you,Radu.

Spent 0 USD for some costumer

Hi, I saw that for some costumers in Spent line the numbero is 0 and if I check costumer cronology it happens only for who use a promo code like “3 free trial days”(not everyone but only some costumer). In details there is “started a trial of ...” and after “converted from a trial to ...” but price is 0(null). Is it because they deleted the sub?(Also if Status is Active). Is it possible that someone continue the membership without paying?Thanks all!Daniel Sadun

Why does RevenueCat allow for making purchases entirely client-side with public key?

Services like Stripe require a secret key and a server to make a purchase. If it was possible to do entirely client-side, wouldn’t Stripe do it be default?

Are charts not refreshing for anyone else?

The data for all of my charts says “Last Updated: 9 hours ago”. I’ve tried refreshing the page, different browser, logging out/back in, etc., but nothing helped. The RevenueCat status page isn’t reporting any issues with dashboards, so I’m not sure if this is happening to others as well?

Hiding Consumables from Users

I want to have a lifetime free premium offer for me and contributors. Instead of creating my own backend for this, I want to use RevenueCat as well.In AppStoreConnect, the longest subscription I can offer for free is one year, which is not sufficient.Therefor I made a non-consumable in AppStoreConnect and connected it to RevenueCat.I will implement my own logic to manage which promoCode is valid for a free lifetime subscription.I have the following two questions: Can I reliably hide this non-consumable from those who are not meant to see it? In AppStoreConnect there is no way to add logic to who can see it, so does that mean if I simply never show it in my app, nobody can access it? Because I know that for subscriptions, when going to cancel in the apple settings, one can see multiple offers, and I don’t want this non-consumable to show up in any place unless with my dedicated UI for it.
