Transactions fail with "billing issue"

Hello, I have RevenueCat integrated with one of my apps and I loved it so far, but recently I’ve noticed that some of my transactions fail with “billing issue” for example last week I’ve had 4 in a row free trial conversions to paid users fail with a billing issue which seems too odd to be coincidence 1 of the transactions first failed with billing issue then 24h later appeared as “converted from the free trial”The api version the app uses is: 3.11.1Users with billing issue are using IOS 14 and 15 and located in US and AustraliaSo are there some logs that I can check to see what was the reason for the failed transactions or can someone from RevenueCat check that for me? Thank you!

Unlock premium content after successful transaction - SwiftUI

Hey everyone,I am struggling how to unlock premium content after successful transaction. How do I add Maestro payment options to in-app purchases?

Hey boys and girls!  I’m quite new to app development and just launched my first app on the app stores with the help of Revenuecat for offering in-app purchases.  I’m located in the Netherlands and noticed that Maestro cards (debit cards) are not available for the in-app purchase, does anyone know why so and how I’m able to fix it? Thanks for taking the time to read this! Hope someone can help me.

Missing EXPIRATION webhooks

Hi support,I came across a few users that seem to be missing the EXPIRATION calls on which we rely to correctly cancel premium subscriptions. I leave below an example, a capture taken while writing: As you can see this is a user that should've expired on 12.01.2021 after failing to renew the subscription, but the premium status (top-right corner) is also saying the user renewed the subscription. That looks to me like something got lost on the way. The above raises some questions that I hope you can help with:to confirm this is normal behavior, or expected, a known issue; if not, why does this happen? what percentage of missing EXPIRATION (or other webhooks) should I expect? In the past weeks I counted 10%; Thank you

Family Sharing with Restore Purchase

Hi, I have not been able to get family sharing working even though I have enabled all family sharing options on the device and in the App Store. Currently what I have been trying1. Invite family member2. Share app to family member3. Wait several hours4. Ask them to restore purchase using the Purchases.restoreTransactions() from the react-native SDK The results always say ‘No purchases restored’ I noticed that in the Restore Behavior under Project Settings > General that my account is under Alias (Legacy) rather than Transfer Purchase. I am concerned with changing the Restore Behavior from Alias (Legacy) to Transfer Purchase since there is a label saying this is not reversible.  Is this causing the issue? Do you have any idea how I can resolve this? Thank you

RC Promotional Entitlement

We regularly offer Promotional Entitlements to users, but they sometimes don’t work, particularly on iOS. We ask people to refresh their status through opening their pro page and killing and restarting their app. I can’t reproduce it on my phone. Are there some known bugs around Promotional Entitlements?

Block Restores & RC Anonymous AppUserIds

Hello!We are planning to use the "block restore" configuration on Revenue Cat for our iOS application and wanted to make sure (1) it's the right option for us given our business logic and (2) if we use it, can/should we avoid RC anonymous IDs altogether since we require a user to have an account and thus internal UUID (app user id) in our application before subscribing? We want to have a single source of truth for identifying a user, and to avoid having lots of anonymous IDs and the network calls to RC API that would unnecessarily create them (if possible).1. Our application requires users to create an account in order to subscribe, and we want to prevent the sharing of a subscription linked to a single Apple ID across multiple user accounts / internal app_user_ids that live in our application database. This makes it seem like the "block restore" option is the way for us to go since that should prevent both (a) the sharing of an Apple ID’s subscription from User A to User B (where both

Share IAPs between macOS and tvOS

I have a macOS app which sells for $24.99 (for the app itself – no subscription involved). I have a tvOS app which sells for $4.99 (for the app itself – no subscription involved). They both have IAPs which sell for between $2.99 and $16.99 on both macOS and tvOS. They are effectively the same subscription for real-time weather data and cost the same on either platform. I want to sell the apps separately, but if they subscribe in one, I want the other to be able to recognize and use the subscription. How can I make this works since there is no “universal” app. The macOS and tvOS versions must be purchased separately, but I want them to share IAPs.

Trouble creating Stripe product

I am attempting to add a Stripe product to my project. The documentation specifies that you associate the stripe product id with the Stripe product in your project, but the actual interface seems to be looking for a Stripe Webhook Secret. Is there documentation on the latter?

Questions about migratung from another service to RevenueCat

I currently use Nami Paywall for in app purchases on Android and iOS only. I want to move to RevenueCat. I would like to know if I need to sync purchases receipts or import receipts into RevenueCat? I am not sure if Nami allows us to export data however I like to know if1.) it’s required2.) what are the benefits of import the data to RevenueCat3.) scenes all of my users that made in app purchases are iOS and Android users (devices) would RevenueCat be able to pull in all of the data as far as previous sell history, trend information, active users when every a user launches the new app version of the app for the first time.  Can someone please explain to me the most important things that I need to do. basically I just want to allow my existing users that have active subscription in the apple App Store and google play store continue to use there subscriptions as  seamless as possible. If possible I would love to have there purchase history once they launch the app for the first time.  La

What happens if a user upgrade subscription on active offer/promo?

If a user redeemed an offer code that gives them a 1-year free trial and then upgrades their subscription (through purchase or redeem another offer code) when the offer/promo is still active, what will happen to their previous offer? Do they get a refund?

Adding extra data to a subscription

Hi all, I’m new here and I want to change my revenue flow of my flutter app by changing the non renewable subscription to renewable subscriptions using Revenuecat.I have one question regarding montly subscriptions with groups.My situation:I have groups with multiple people in it. My plan is that one person of such a group can subscribe to a monthly plan which is connected to this group (everyone in the group benefits from this). I use Firebase to manage if a group is “Pro” or not. This “Pro” status which is dependend on when a subscription expires has to be updated with the subscription of the user that bought it (even when the user doesn’t open the app!). My idea is that if a subscription is (auto) renewed, a webhook can update the expiration date in my Firebase database which will make the pro status available for all users even when a user didn’t open the app. The question that comes to mind is that when a user buys premium for a group, the subscription should be coupled to a “group

PlatformException Code 2 Error when fetching products

This is using the latest Flutter library on Android for subscription products.We have a live app and an Android customer has reported seeing this error.Right now we dump it out to the screen, which isn’t very user friendly. But here it is:Any idea what could be causing this, we only know of it affecting one customer so far with thousands of successful subscriptions. Thanks

Hello, I want to delete the users whose premium period has expired completely from the database. I found out that I need webhooks for this.I read the webhooks document but don't understand, is the premium control on the mobile side? What should be in the endpoint section? Not receiving 'TRANSFER' webhook

Hello RC Community  This morning in production we hit our first “Restore Purchase” scenario and hit a few hicups.We had a user sign up for a subscription, then immediately sign into another account on our app. (So two users on OUR app, using one apple ID) They triggered the restore purchase behavior (our app is currently set to ‘Transfer Purchases’) and we did see a TRANSFER event for both of these users in the dashboard - but did NOT receive a webhook. Looking at the RC dashboard we can see: User 1 started a subscription (We got the INITAL_PURCHASE webhook successfully) User 1 got a transfered event (Transfered to User 2’s ID) User 1 lost all their entitlements/subscriptions User 2 got all of their entitlements & subscriptions The problem we are hitting is that we keep record of subscriptions on our end using the recommended method in the docs: to refresh a user’s data whenever we receive a webhook. BUT we didn’t receive a TRANSFER webhook for EITHER of these users, so now our dat

The docs at https://meet.google.com/ayp-nghg-vfj?hs=146&authuser=1 say that I should add the roles “Pub/Sub Admin” and “Monitoring Viewer”, but I don’t see those in the list of available roles. How can I add those roles?

iOS ad hoc debug - Sandbox user only has monthly access

Hi,I am trying to debug my iOS app with console.  When i set up my sandbox user, i could only select a monthly subscription.  My app offers a weekly and a monthly.In addition, my logger messages do not display my available packages.  I see that i have 2 packages set up, but they are displaying as <private>  Is there any way to display them? Thanks for your help!Brian

Can I create custom purchases

Hello, in our team we are thinking about using Revenuecat as the single source of truth for ALL our purchases and subscriptions.We were wondering, can we create purchases “outside” the usual (Apple google stripe...), for example, create a purchase with currency “Apples”.We want to support cryptocurrency payments, and Revenuecat seems a good choice to store all our payments data. So the idea would be to use the REST API to store different custom payments likeUser 1234 paid 0.5 ETH at 02/28/2022Is that possible? and, what are the cons of doing this, our analytics and graphs will get dirty? Thanks.

Some questions on migrating subscriptions

I’m moving my new subscription service to revenuecat.The way current system works is this:1. User makes purchase from either iOS or stripe2. if purchased on iOS, entry is created on DB with app_user_id & purchase id3. Receive webhooks from apple/stripe and use that to give user premiumI have a couple concerns:Do I need to use syncPurchases? I don’t see how it makes sense if a customer has purchased through stripe With receipt forwarding, older versions of my app don’t send receipts, just user id and purchase id. Your create purchase endpoint requires the full base64 receipt, what can I do? For migrating, I don’t have the base64 encoded receipt file, just the unencoded purchase details
