Cannot see Test Store API Key

The documentation says this about the Test Store API key:

Switching between Test Store and Real Stores

Test Store uses a separate API key from your real store API keys. This allows you to control which store your app communicates with:

  • Test Store API Key: Use during development and testing
  • Platform Store API Keys (iOS, Android, etc.): Use for production builds

You can find both types of keys in Project Settings > API keys in the RevenueCat dashboard. Switch between them by changing which key you pass to the SDK configuration.

However, I can only see the “SDK Api Keys” here, not the Test Store API Key.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

Ah - found the problem. I hadn’t created a test store for the Project.

Created a test store, and now I can see the test store API key.

Hi @James Lavery,

I’m glad that you found the issue! You are right, you have to create a test store and test products to use the test API key.

How to create a test store?

From the official document:

Test Store

Test Store is RevenueCat's built-in testing environment, automatically provisioned with every new project.

It appears to me it’s automatically provisioned = created, but apparently I’m wrong.

Any guidance is appreciated!

Found the answer - Test Store can be created from Project → Apps & providers in the side menu → Test configuration

Hi @EDIRY,

I’m glad you found the answer! We are just in the middle of releasing the new onboarding flow that would make this easier.

Best,
