Can't get Apple to review IAPs so app keeps getting rejected

Forum|alt.badge.img

So Ive built an EXPO app and have successfully managed to run development builds using sandbox environment for an app and tested purchase flows which all works fine. signed the paid agreements etc and set up my apple IAP and subscriptions properly.

I’ve now tried to submit my app but I keep getting rejected due to:

“Guideline 2.1 - Performance - App Completeness

We found that your in-app purchase products exhibited one or more bugs which create a poor user experience. Specifically, there was no response when we tapped Unlock Now in Inspiration, Guests, and Budget. Please review the details and resources below and complete the next steps.

Review device details:

- Device type: iPhone 13 mini
- OS version: iOS 18.5”

Its very frustrating as it appears the issue is my IAPs have not been accepted/in review.

The other issue I noticed before i submitted was that in testflight i was unable to trigger the paywalls, which I assumed was due to the IAP and subscriptions not being reviewed and accepted yet but now im wondering could there be an issue else where

It’s so jarring because I’ve tried to explain to them to accept my IAPs first and then I can submit another build but not going anywhere….

Help anyone?

When submitting the build for review, in the review notes for the AppStore team, add a note that the app has IAP or subscription pricing and that has to be reviewed and approved first before reviewing the app itself.

Found this tip on Reddit and this helped get my app through the review process.

Hi @DocGoneDev,

It’s important to include the subscriptions in the same review as the app, the section is just under the app binary and you must include there the new subscriptions rather than sending them for review alone. This is mandatory for Apple since they need to review both app and subscriptions together the first time.

If you are doing it already, make sure the reviewer is not using iOS 18.4 which has a known bug around subscriptions.

Let me know if this works!
