Hi everyone,

I manage several white-label apps, and when I first set up RevenueCat, I bundled some apps into the same project—looking back, I realize that might not have been the best choice.

Now I’m trying to dig into data like LTV, or conversion to paying users and others for individual apps, but it seems like I can only see this data at the project level. I can’t find a way to break it down by app, and I’m wondering if I’m missing something.

A couple of questions:

  1. Is there a reason we can’t segment charts by app?
  2. Is there any workaround to this?
  3. Is there any way to move my apps into separate projects without losing historical data?

I’d really appreciate any advice or insights from the community. Thanks so much for your help!

Hi! We spoke in a private support ticket, but I wanted to ensure that my response was shared here as well:

In terms of your first question, it is because those charts are evaluating the data on a customer level, rather than a transaction level like some other charts, and since a project has a shared customer base between all the apps within it, we do not allow for the segmenting of these charts by app.

In terms of workarounds, you could recreate the data by using the Scheduled Data Exports. I will also raise the suggestion of adding the ability to, but because of how these charts are created, it may not be possible. Moving the apps to individual projects may be a good option as well.

In order to migrate the apps to new separate projects, you will basically need to follow one of the migration methods. We do not have the ability to do it on our end as, like I mentioned above, the apps are all within the same user space in the same project. Here is our documentation on migrating historical purchases.
