Event properties with '$' and without in Amplitude

Hi,

When reviewing events in Amplitude that I get with RevenueCat integration I noticed some event properties are doubled with ‘$’ and without. For example $product_id and product_id contain the same info.

Which of these properties should I rely on when, for example, filtering data in Amplitude?
