How can we track Meta & Google Ads purchases from a RevenueCat Web Funnel in Adjust?

Hi everyone,

We are currently setting up a RevenueCat Web Funnel using the pre-built template, with Paddle as the payment provider.

Our planned setup is:

Meta / Google Ads → RevenueCat Web Funnel → Paddle → Purchase

We already use Adjust and are sending purchase events via S2S.

What we are trying to figure out is how to attribute these web purchases to the original Meta/Google campaigns in Adjust.

The main questions are:

  • How can we capture the campaign information from Meta/Google when the user lands on the RevenueCat Web Funnel?
  • Can we use UTM parameters / campaign IDs with the pre-built Funnel?
  • Since the RevenueCat-hosted Funnel does not seem to use the Adjust Web SDK, how can we generate or pass an Adjust ID ($adjustId) for the web user?
  • What is the recommended way to connect the Paddle purchase → Adjust → original campaign?

Has anyone implemented a similar RevenueCat Web Funnel + Paddle + Adjust + Meta/Google Ads setup?

Would really appreciate any guidance or examples of the recommended implementation.

Hey there,

Matt from RevenueCat here! 👋

I can see that you and your team have also opened a support ticket with Chris from the team, where you’re diving deeper into these same questions. However, I wanted to loop in here too.

To keep everything in one place and avoid any confusion from having multiple similar conversations running at the same time, we’ll continue working through the details with you on that support ticket.

Once we’ve got to the bottom of everything, I’ll also loop back here with a summary of the answers so that anyone who comes across this thread in the future can benefit from them too!

If there is anything else I can do to help in the meantime, please let me know!

Thanks, Matt! I actually understood this community as a place where developers could share questions and learn from similar use cases, so I didn’t want to duplicate the same question across both channels. 😄
I’ll continue with Chris on the support ticket and appreciate you following up here too!

Hey @omer-homan-d4dc76!

Absolutely! 😄 You were completely right to post here too. That’s exactly what the community is for!

I mainly wanted to keep the deeper troubleshooting in one place while we work through it with you, and then I’ll make sure we bring the answers back here for everyone else too, on anything that can be shared.

We’ll keep this post open for anyone else in the community to jump in!

If there is anything else I can do to help alongside your conversation in the support ticket, please let me know!

Hey!

As mentioned, I wanted to share an overview here too, following the conversations in the support ticket, in case anyone else comes across this thread looking for the same answers.

Tracking campaigns in Funnels

RevenueCat automatically captures UTM parameters from your Funnel URLs, so there's no additional setup needed.

Both Meta and Google Ads support dynamic UTM values, so you can automatically pass campaign details through your ad URLs.

RevenueCat keeps the first values captured for each customer, so future visits won't overwrite the original attribution.

You can read more in our Funnel URL parameters documentation.

Connecting Paddle purchases

This is handled automatically!

RevenueCat assigns each Funnel visitor an App User ID, and their Paddle purchases, renewals, and UTM attributes are all linked to that same customer.

You can use this information in Funnel Analytics, webhooks, and other integrations.

What about Adjust?

Unfortunately, RevenueCat doesn't currently support attributing purchases made through hosted Web Funnels to the original Meta or Google Ads campaign in Adjust.

While RevenueCat can capture campaign information and associate it with purchases, this doesn't automatically translate into campaign attribution within Adjust.

If there is anything else we can do to help, please let us know!

Thanks,
