Yet another Apple rejection

I know this has been discussed hundred of times, but while I suppose the reason is he same as in previous threads, that is: reviewer is failing to fetch products because they are not accepted, the response I got from him seems to opose this premise. Quote:

The in-app purchases do not need to have been previously approved to confirm they function correctly in review.

It would be appropriate to review your in-app purchases to make sure they have been appropriately configured for review in the Apple-provided sandbox environment.

It is the first release of this app. The subscriptions had “Waiting for Review” status but after the app rejection their status changed to “Developer Action Needed” while the translations of them to “Rejected”.

On RevenueCat everything seems to be configured correctly, with product fetched automatically and their statuses correctly reflecting what is displaying in App Store Connect.

Meanwhile the Android version using the same codebase is happily on prod with zero issues.

So now I’m stuck with no actionable task to move forward. Help!

Hi @pein, I’m sorry to hear about the rejection. Can you please share as much information as possible about the original reason for the rejection? It can seem that IAP related rejections are all the same, but there are a number of distinct root-causes that can arise.

The response you received from the reviewer is aligned with our understanding - IAP products need to be either “Approved” or “Waiting for Review” and submitted with your app build.

From what you describe, I don’t see any issues with your submission. But it would be great to have more clarity on the exact rejection reasons given by Apple (as well as any screenshots).

So… I’ve suddenly got another message:

Upon further review we were able to access the subscription and we will consider the issue resolved.

No further explanation or answer to any of my questions was given 🤡

I suppose it was a downtime of endpoints related to business agreements. It looked like everything is set up but actually the page just failed to render a link to some additional paperwork.

@pein thanks for reporting back! Glad you got this resolved, but its certainly frustrating they didn’t provide more clarity.
