We’re trying to use Revenuecat Web billing with stripe. Our business is registered in India and this is the error we get. From what I see, we need to pass a description when creating a payment intent for stripe, which is probably something Revenuecat is doing in the backend, you can read about it here https://support.stripe.com/questions/failed-international-payments-from-stripe-accounts-in-india

Is there something we’ve missed from our side or is it an issue?

Hi @chinmay-kabi-327ae4 , this is currently a limitation of RevenueCat Web Billing. There currently isn’t a way for Web Billing to provide Stripe with the necessary customer address and transaction description required for Indian Stripe accounts. We’ll work on documenting this limitation and hope to support Indian Stripe accounts in a future release. Thanks for reaching out!

So basically Indian stripe accounts cannot use revenuecat web billing in any way? This should be mentioned in the documentation.

@chinmay-kabi-327ae4 that’s correct. We’ll work on documenting this limitation and hope to support Indian Stripe accounts in a future release of Web Billing.

You can still use a Stripe integration with RevenueCat, but you would need to use the Stripe SDK to create your own checkout flow.

We’ve documented this as a limitation here: https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/web/web-billing/overview#current-limitations

We plan to support Indian Stripe accounts in a future release of Web Billing.
