Hello, I’m using react native (react-native-purchases and react-native-purchases-ui both at 9.7.0) for my iOS-only app. I’m displaying a paywall to my users via

const result = await RevenueCatUI.presentPaywall({ offering });

I have a video in my paywall, specifically, the offering “Aziz with video”. You can clearly see that the video has audio if you click on the “eye” icon, which will play the video:

I’m testing this on my iPhone by clicking on the “Preview in app” button, scanning a QR code, and having the paywall display in the RevenueCat mobile app.

Hey Andrew,

Thanks for reaching out! Tarek here, from the support team. I'm happy to help you.

I tried reproducing your issue, but unfortunately I couldn't find the Aziz with video offering and associated paywall you mentioned in any of the projects of the RevenueCat account linked to this community account. (andrew-moore-0bb907).

Did you do it in another RevenueCat account by any chance? Could you please share more details, such as email, project name etc. that will allow me to find it and investigate the issue?

Of course, feel free to open a ticket to share the private information, just tell me here once you did it so I can catch it in the queue and immediately begin working on it.

In the meantime, feel free to double check the mute audio configuration, since videos are muted by default:

Best regards,

It’s in my Inactive paywalls tab for the “Asr” project.

And yep I made sure “Mute audio” was unchecked. Still repros :(

Hey Andrew,

Thanks for the detail, I was able to find it.

From what I could test, the video sound does playback, however, it won't playback if the device mute switch is on.

Could you please double check that your device mute switch was off?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Ugh that was it. My phone was on vibrate-only mode.

That’s a very limiting restriction though. With no prior knowledge I would assume at least 50% of people keep their phone on vibrate-only. Spotify and all the other audio-playing apps do not have such a restriction.

would it be impossible to support audio for vibrate-only mode?
