Hi RevenueCat team,

In Sandbox I’m seeing this every time I try to purchase our monthly subscription (product_id: intimigo_monthly):

”””

ERROR [RevenueCat] 🍎‼️ There was a problem with the App Store.

ERROR [RevenueCat] 💰 Product purchase for 'intimigo_monthly' failed with error:

PurchasesError(

  error: There was a problem with the App Store.,

  userInfo: [

    "readable_error_code": "STORE_PROBLEM",

    "NSUnderlyingError": StoreKit.StoreKitError.unknown,

    "source_file": "RevenueCat/StoreKitError+Extensions.swift:49",

    "source_function": "asPurchasesError",

    "NSLocalizedDescription": "There was a problem with the App Store."

  ]

)

”””

The only recent change on my side was increasing the price of intimigo_monthly in App Store Connect (status: Ready for Sale). I fetch offerings before calling Purchases.shared.purchase(package:), and I’ve tried:

  • Waiting 24+ hours for price propagation
  • Restarting the app and device (testing on a real device since I am developing using WSL)
  • Uninstalling the app

It still fails with STORE_PROBLEM on every attempt. I’d expect a different error (e.g., PRODUCT_NOT_AVAILABLE) if the price hadn’t propagated, so I’m wondering if this is a known sandbox quirk or something that happens when the price is increased.

Solution:

Created a new sandbox account in https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/access/users/sandbox

Used the new sandbox account in my device.

Regards.

Hi @soacm,

I’ve replied to the other post too but sharing my answer here as well in case this is useful:

I've checked your account and using your bundle id and API key in my sample app I could get your default offering (that contains `intimigo_monthly`) with your paywall and product correctly. Can you check if it's working on your end too now? If not, do you mind checking that you have all the agreements valid and approved in the business section in App Store Connect as well as the license agreement in developer.apple.com.

Another thing to check is that you are connected to the right Apple sandbox account with permissions to access this app. You can try to log out and log in and see if that fixes it.

Best,

Hi Joan,

All the agreements are valid and approved. I did not modify any permissions or the Apple sandbox account, but please share guidance on where to verify this information.

Regarding the error, it still appears after proceeding with the payment. I am prompted for my Apple account password and, after continuing, the error is displayed. I am quite sure the recent price increase caused the issue. Should I create a new product in the RC dashboard?

Edit: app in production does not throw the error, payment seems smooth without issues.

Hi @soacm,

Does the product in production show the new price increase? It feels like it has messed up the sandbox configuration then. Creating a new product would be a good solution but I believe that logging out and in again should also fix it.

You can find here the path to find your sandbox account in your device.

Best,

The price increase is correctly shown in the paywall (in both development and production). When you say “logging out and logging in,” which application are you referring to?

Edit: Logged out from the Sandbox account and logged back in, nothing changed and same error persists.

After creating a new product in RC, what should I expect? This seems the only option (huge waste of time if a simple price increase is the cause).
