Hello-
I see the related topic that was answered months ago, but checking in again, is there any update to the answer previously provied?

We are looking to add a mobile app to the existing web app, so we have a bunch of existing subscribers that we want to allow access to in the mobile app showing them as “active”.

Thanks for updates/clarifications...

Hi @lucksp,

That answer from the post you shared is still valid today. I’ve sent your request to the team since this seems to be a recurrent topic to see if we can find a solution for this scenario.

I’ll let you know when I know more about it!

Best,

OK thanks - one other question:
What’s the best way to keep original Stripe clients in sync with revenuecat, so that

  • if a user signs in to web &/or mobile, revenue cat is aware of the existing subscription?
  • or should there be a migration run at some point to add all stripe accounts to revenuecat?

Hi @lucksp,

It depends if you have an authentication system in your app or not. If you have a common id that it’s the same for Stripe and that you can pass to RevenueCat then we would be able to recognize the existing subscription without issues. If you have an anonymous user with no way to track the Stripe identity then we won’t be able to match those two.

Best,
