We can’t figure how to offer free months to our users when the get a new referee,

Happy to help here! I found some docs on Stripe to help out with this: https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/coupons/codes. It looks like detect referee you can apply the code and it will come into affect the next billing cycle. Let me know if you have any additional questions regarding this.
