We want to be able to offer a free trial to our new users when they onboard. If they don’t convert in a timeframe, we want to offer a discount to convert them. I thought targeting would help us to achieve this, but apparently not! 

What would you recommend?

How do you define when a user should get the discount? Do you save it somewhere? You could use targeting if you set a custom attribute to the user. In that case it would be automatic and as soon as you remove that attribute the user would go back the default offering (if that’s something you want to do).

It should be pretty easy to implement and 100% dynamic, you could enable it and disable it anytime without having to release new app versions.
