  1. I’m build an app that handles multi account, user can add multiple accounts and switch to other account and perform tasks
  2. Each account should have their own subscription

But the problem here is

I purchased “Plan A” in “Account 1”

if i go to “Account 2” and purchase “Plan A”

It says this subscription is already active.

but it’s active on “Account 1” Not on “Account 2”

But i can see few apps like instagram, twitter . They have this thing for blue tick.

I can buy a blue tick subscription in “Account A” for  6$, and i can buy a blue tick subscription in “Account B” for same amount. both managed in same Play store account subscription.

Kindly guide me, how should i procced. Thanks.

Hi! RevenueCat does not currently support splitting subscriptions across multiple app user IDs from the same app store account. As we base a user’s transactions off the entire receipt that we receive from the app store, this cannot be accomplished using RevenueCat.

Any best practices you suggest us to achieve this?

Hi @sanjay-2884e2

A few comments to be aware and design for it as this is a complex scenario with the app store limitations

> It says this subscription is already active.

An app store account can have a single active subscription within a subscription group (you cannot repurchase it, or have multiple of it. On Google play it’s the same behaviour

Apple has released (in private, so you have to request access to it) a feature called advanced commerce API that is thought for this scenario (https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=yxy958ya) - Google does not have a public version for the same.

To workaround the problem of only having one active subscription, what some apps do is create multiple pairs of subscription groups+subscription, each unlocking the same entitlement (and if they are different entitlement, you can store some metadata on your own backend)

You would probably map a subscriber from RevenueCat to an account and then attach the purchase to it. You would have to keep track which accounts a user has access to
