Question

Missing users in our S3 export

Forum|alt.badge.img+8

Hi,

We noticed that some users are missing in the export file we have on our S3.

The user exists on RC dashboard when we look in the Customers tab.

Do you know how is it possible?

Just in case it has an impact, we didn’t select the option “Receive new and updated transactions only” so we receive everything each time.

Thank you for your help,

@amsdamsgram do you know if the users you’re looking at in the dashboard have made purchases? Our ETL exports are based on transaction data generated by your customers, so if the user hasn’t made purchases they won’t show up in the export: https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/etl-exports

Hi @sundeep,

Thank you for your answer.

And yes, these are users who made purchases. They even appear in Adjust because we’ve done the integration.

For example, this user: $RCAnonymousID:f593a20a722c4ee8b3f0c8446d177eba
(Adjust id : ca73f5cec7ba8f5deed7eb56bc48fa33) from our project called BEN iOS. It made a purchase, it appears on RC dashboard, in Adjust, in Amplitude but it is not in the RC export on our S3.

Thank you for your help

Hi @amsdamsgram  - I realize this is an old thread but we are experiencing the same issue as you, where customer(s) who have made purchases are not appearing in exports. Did you ever resolve this issue?

Hello @ehand, unfortunately I don’t remember.

It might have been a bug on RevenueCat side as I don’t remember changing anything on our side and now it is working fine.

Hi @ehand, I would be happy to help with this issue on your end. Could you share the user that is not appearing? If you would rather not share it publicly, you can also create a private support ticket

Hi @wes_clark - I believe this has been resolved. Best I can tell, our API team had not set up the export to capture all status values (‘expired’ was missing from the export parameters). Now that status = ‘expired’ has been included in the export, the users in question are there.
