Is it safe to delete subscriptions in App Store Connect?

What happens when I delete subscriptions in App Store Connect?
Does `customerInfo.entitlements[“pro”]?.isActive` continue to return `true`?
I want to stop renewing subscriptions, but still provide service to paid users during their validity period.

Hi ​@aaa,

The entitlement will be true as long as we can have a valid receipt from the App Store.

If you remove from sale an in-app product, Apple should show you some kind of warning message like:

Your in-app purchase will be removed from sale on the App Store and discontinued as an auto-renewable subscription. Existing subscribers won’t be able to renew this subscription. To view the number of existing subscribers, go to Sales and Trends.

 

If you do so, your subscribers will have an active entitlement for as long as they paid for and then it will show like a cancellation and an expiration.
