Question

Customer Center - Refund offer Android

Forum|alt.badge.img+4

Hi,

I have set up the Customer Center offer (refund + cancellation offer), but on Android, I have some strange feature. Customers are able to subscribe the refund offer on the Paywall (without any refund request, and hand-made paywall with the SDK).

Looks like Revenue Cat doesn't exclude offer with `rc-customer-center` from the list of offer. Do we have to add the `rc-ignore-offer` tag too on Android ?

It's not a big mess for now, but the way promotional offer works is really strange…

At the moment, looks good for iOS.

Regards,

Platform: React-Native

Hi, adding the rc-customer-center tag to the developer determined offer from your product should make it so that the offer is only available to Customer Center and not used as a default offer when purchasing the product. If you made this change and tested it immediately after, then this might not have shown up as changes to products can take ~24 hours to propagate. Can you let me know if this was the case? If it didn’t work after that time, then can you please open a support ticket here with the following information:

  • Screenshots of how your product and offer are setup in the Google Play Console
  • The project and offering
  • An app user id you have tested this with

Hi,

Thanks for your answer, all the configuration was set according to the documentation (rc-customer-center  only and at creation time).

Unfortunately, new customer were able to subscribe to the refund offer in the custom paywall just after the signup. Also note that on iOS, the intro-price (freetrial) wasn't active in customer point of view. After I deactivated all offers (iOS and Android) got new customers subscribing to normal offers + introprice.

Sent to the Customer Support.

Hi @btk-65ac54, I have answered internally but also sharing here for other devs reference. This can happen if you are on an older SDK version. As such you can either make sure you upgrade the SDK to our most recent one or you can add the rc-ignore-offertag as well.
