Billing Issues In IOS Brasil

Hello Everyone,

I'm experiencing a significant issue with trial conversions in my app. Approximately 90% of trials that are not manually cancelled by users are failing to convert to paid subscriptions due to billing errors.

Key details:

  • Store: App Store
  • Market: Brazil (BR)
  • Product: Annual subscription with 7-day trial
  • Issue: Billing errors at trial expiration, not user cancellations

My questions:

  1. Is this billing error rate typical for the Brazilian market?
  2. Are there known issues with payment methods or banking infrastructure in Brazil that could explain this?
  3. What actions can I take to reduce these billing errors?

I'd appreciate any insights you can provide on this issue and if someone have a similar experience.

I am considering to target the USA market instead but I would like to be sure that its because of this error is because of the brasilian market

Hi ​@corentin-ltc thank you for reporting this, we are looking into this internally and will let you know. This has been seen in different areas like the US so it might not be due to the Brasilian market but I will confirm this after we finish investigating. I did take a look at your project and our server logs show successful purchases and some successful trial conversions. Usually trials failing to convert due to billing issues are not be related to an issue with your app but instead an issue with the payment method. It could be several things from prepaid cards to insufficient funds.
